I saw teh screen of my laptop a couple of days ago flicker. It scared me so even it hasn;t done it again, I;ve been saving my pictures to a CD. Now I am downloading videos from the camcorder so I can edit them and make a DVD. I;ve been so bad...the oldest video I have is from my son;s first birthday in March. Anyway, this why I;ve not been so active on Minti lately. Uploading an hour of video doesn;t take long, but I have to do some editing {about 2 hours} and finally burning it into a DVD takes about 3-4 hours for a 1 hour video alone.

I am using the hubby;s computer right now and it;s highly frustrating. It has a gaming keyboard so my fingers are;t hitting the right keys. I apologize.

Before reloading the operating system, check that your video and sound drivers are up to date.  Those may fix your problems.  It may be that the software that you installed for the video making changed the driver functions.  Also, FYI, video making software is a memory and CPU drainer on any computer.  AND by all means back up your stuff now that you can still boot the system.

I so know the feeling....
I had that scare, hence the reboot and back to windows 98... All my stuff has now been put on disks.. And the new stuff goes on the hubbies soon to be moved to disks.

Bummer
That stinks, Izzy.  Mine did the same thing (less than a year old) about three months ago.  I had to restore my system.  I lost about four months of picutres including last Halloween.      Wish I woulda backed mine up :)

I like that idea. I may try to restore the system too and see if that fixes things. But I will have to get the pictures out before I do it. I will never forgive myself i lose the pictures I have on here.  Thansk!

My laptop... Um... well the charge don't keep charge so I have to get it fixed and its not even a year old.. Damn puters LoL! I hope your computer gets better soon. It's ok for the mistakes.. I knew what you were saying

My laptop isn't even a year old either. I got it in February. I wish I bought the year coverage on it.

When I was editing videos, the sound stopped working.

Same here... Feburary I think.. Ya it must of been because while I was in the hosptial my hubby brang the laptop so that he could watch dvds on it lol... Made the time pass thats for sure.

That sucks big time that your sound stopped working...
