Feeling good. Thanks to MumToBeKim & Frontier!

Last night I found an article of MumtobeKim in which she talks about the FlyLady. I checked it out and found that it's a website to organize the home. You join the site through yahoo groups so I did and this morning I found a few emails on what I'm supposed to do this morning to be on my way to a clean, organized, less stressful house. It's simply amazing. Today I'm supposed to go through and get rid of paper clutter in one hot spot in the house for 15 minutes. I haven't done this particular task because I think it's something the hubby can do tonight. BUT, that said, I've done a load of laundry, dusted my cabinets (which I haven't done in months!), and cleaned some windows. After my roomba is done sweeping the kitchen floor, I will be mopping it shortly.

This is the most I've done in a one morning and I'm not even stressed out about it. What an amazing feeling. My house is far from being where I want it to be, but at least I'm doing something and I feel good. To top it off, Matthew and I have a great morning together.  He helped me gather up the laundry and drop them in the washing machine. After that, I handed him one of my swiffer duster and taught him how to use it. He went around the house dusting EVERYTHING! He dusted his toys, the couch, the dogs.. yes, the dogs! It was so funny!

Well, hopefully I can keep up with the FlyLady.   Thanks MumtobeKim!

I've joined too
I've decided to try this out too.  Anything that will help getting my house to look clean quickly and being organised which I am not.

I'm gonna do it too
I think I am going to do that too Izzy. It's great that you posted this in your blog. I'm also glad that now there is a group about it. My house really needs a good clean, and this advice is worth it!!

Would love the company in this journey!  I see myself falling off the wagon, so it'll be great to have someone to trade encouraging words with.

Your sucess inspired me. I read your blog last night and then this morning when I was cleaning the toilet (as per fly lady) I looked at the dirty walls that have been bugging me for ages and thought - I don't have to do it all in one go. I can do a bit each day when I do my swish and swipe. I got a bucket of sugar soap solution and a scrubbing brush and cleaned an area about a meter wide starting at a height  I could reach with both feet on the ground down to the floor (the tops of the walls will have to wait until next year when I am not pregnant). That area now looks good. Tomorrow I will do a bit next to it and so on.

I think we can inspire each other so I am definetly in on the group idea. But what do we call it? or do we just use the existing household hint group?

I would love to  be in that. Do we just do  it in our blogs or start a group - Flybabies with broomsticks?

Ok - so what do we call it? Me and my naming thing again. Baby name, new minti name for me, what to call the group?

It was funny when I applied to join as I asked if Flyblokes could join. Aussie based members would have a good vision a bloke with an apron and feather duster. I must say I am fanatical about the carpets ( I vacuume somewhere at least every day) and a clean sink at night. It has to be sparkling or I can't knock off for the night.

don't thank me thank Frontier. I found the site a few weeks ago after reading one of his articles.

I would love to have seen Matthew dusting the dogs. Did they like it?

Matthew was quite gentle with his dusting of the dogs so they didn't run away. But they sat very still looking very confused.   Matthew is going around the house now with my swiffer mop. He saw me use it and wanted to have it. Wow, if I can only keep up the fun and maybe he will grow up doing chores without grumbling!

good luck! My little brother used to love doing the dishes when he was two. Now you are lucky if he carries his plate to the sink. He is 18 now.
