Sharing the love...and bronchitis.

Comment Published at 17:3017:305 comments5 comments31 Visits31 VisitsReport

I complained about not getting much sleep on my previous blog, but all that was nothing compared to last night. Jordan is now suffering from bronchitis. She's coughing, but the main problem is the stuffy nose. She didn't sleep last night.

I laid my head down at 9:30pm wanting to catch up on sleep, and woke up at 10:45 with both the girls crying. I nursed and then went back to bed. At midnight, I was awaken by Jordan. I thought she's hungry again, but she refused to eat and just cried her little head off , and she wouldn't sleep. By 2am, she still hasn't stopped crying and woke up the hubby. I searched for Tylenol hoping that it may make her feel better, but couldn't find any. Finally, at 3am, she quieted down and fell asleep.

At 4am, I was awaken by my son wanting to go pee. He then demanded I sleep in his bedroom. I was finally drifting to sleep when I was awakened by the girls for a feed.

By noon today, I crashed on the couch. I put the girls on the floor hoping they'd fall asleep and they did. Thank God! I was able to nap for 1 hour. Good thing, too since Jordan was super cranky after she woke up. She now refuses to nurse. I try and she cries her pretty little head off. But she did take baby food though. So at least, she wouldn't be starving in the middle of the night. It's now 8:30 pm, and the last time Jordan nursed was 11:30 am. Hopefully she nurses sometime in the night.

I am going to fix my son's lunch for school tomorrow and then I'm going to bed. Hopefully, I get at least a good hour of sleep before someone wakes me up.

Sorry to hear Jordan is feeling poorly Izzy, i do hope she start's to feel better real soon. Also that you get a chance tp catch up on some deep sleep, nothing worse then having a broken sleep...makes it hard to function during the day.

All the best.

Kindest Regards Janice

oh, how awful! I hope things improve(d) really soon - howd last night go? Days & nights like this just have to be survived, theres no way round them, theres no way over them, theres no way under them, you've just gotta go through them (& come out like a bear with a sore head)! Hopefully you can catch up a bit this weekend?

Re: Sharing the love...and bronchitis.

Well, wouldn't you know it, it went from bad to worst after I posted this blog. The next  couple of days was just hell. I want to blog about it but can't even think of where to begin.

For one thing, Jordan absolutly refused to feed. So I had to pump. Breastfeeding one and then pumping and giving Jordan a bottle. Then they were both put on 2 medicines via the nebulizer every 4 hours... there was not a moment that I could stop and sit down.

But thankfully, we are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Jordan is back on the breast!
