Yesterday was my son's easter party at school. I showed up with my chocolate chip banana bread. When the teachers started putting it on the children's plates (3 - 3 1/2 year olds), here are some of the comments I heard, "What's that?", "I don't like that", "ewww".
The banana bread was brown and it had dark spots on it because of the chocolate chips and apparently no one has ever seen one before, except my son. My son gobbled it up, and so did a few other kids. There were left overs so I told the teachers that they can keep it for themselves.
This morning, when my husband dropped off Matty to school, he saw one of the teachers and accordign to my husband, all she could talk about was my banana bread. She said she hoped that I wasn't offended that most of the kids didn't eat it, but she said she took the left over home! LOL
By the way, I never did find the 2nd whisk attachment. But with the girls crying while I was making it, I made do with one. I just refuse to mix it myself using my muscles! Besides, the crying from the girls was like an egg timer, or more accurately, a ticking time bomb the way it was stressing me out. So I used the mixer with one whisk attachment, which looked very sad (in a funny way). It took a little longer to mix, but it did the job. |
