Some time this morning, I got two baby books and showed/read them to the twins. They loved the pictures of the babies; Thing 1 kissed the picture of a girl repeatedly. Then I left them to enjoy the books on their own. After I had gone to the kitchen and walked around aimlessly for a few minutes staring at the dirty dishes and pondering whether I wanted to clean them or not, I go back to check on the girls and found them ripping paper covering the binding and eating the paper! So I take the books a way.
Late in the afternoon, in preparing to leave to meet the boys for our Friday picnic, I gather diapers and baby wipes and took then inside the play yard to change diapers. Consistent to what I've been doing a lot lately, I leave the box of wipes in the play yard. I then go upstairs and get dressed. By the time I got back down to the living room, here is what I saw.
I swear these two girls conspired to drive me crazy today when I am already going crazy suffering from womanly pains (cramps).
Oh, what two active little imaginations can do when left to their own devices for a bit! Beware the quiet child (or, even more so, the quiet twins)! My DD2 is like this. Well, less so with paper and wipes now. MIschief, yes, just different things at 21 months. I used to find bits of paper in her nappy having passed right thru. I dont know why they like the taste of wipes so much - they all do, but to me they dont seem appetising at all. DD2 still raids the wipes box when she can - today I found her wiping her dollys bottom, and putting the wipe back in the box! DD1 was weird - she never ate anything which wasnt food, so books, wipes etc survived quite well. Tissue boxes got raided though, and the contents turned into confetti! And she is very good at mischief, even now LOL!
ROFL. Our girls are the same with anything paper! And yep, sisters are the worst at conspiring against mothers, just be thankful you don't have 4(soon to be 5) little girls picking on you! lol.
We had cotten 'books' for my tow when they were too small to be left with propper ones. and there were plastic ones for in the bath, mind I never left them in the bath on their own.
Wrist Books
Two charming soft wrist books for baby – attach them to baby’s wrist or to pushchairs, car seats and belt loops.
Young children will love looking at the different expressions on the faces inside each book.
