Well its been 6 weeks, and my shakes have finally gone. the last of my withdrawal symptoms finally out of my hair :P
I have been studying HEAPS and been learning so much more than I ever knew before. Like did you know kids as young as 8 months play practical jokes on you? Its true!
We have had some awesome stuff happen in the past month or so, Liam has taken over 15 steps in a go now, and walks around heaps, liam took his first plane ride (so did I!) and slept the whole way! it was awesome. he just slept. he fell asleep before the seatbelt light was even turned off!
He also caught viral abdominal colic. okay he didnt catch it. he caught a cold off his aunty (thats the viral part) which ended up with him not being able to sleep more than an hour or two withuot waking up screaming, and screaming all the time. We rang the 13health number only to be told they wanted to call an ambulance for him. as we live on the same road as the hosiptal we decided to go ourselves. only to wait for FOUR HOURS so a doctor could check his ears and throat and say he's fine and send us home again. The other patients in the waiting room had been replaced twice. two whole room fulls of people got seen before my baby. why? he didnt have a temperature. Let me tell you, next monday when the MP's office opens again we will be in there making a complaint, as the next morning we went to a doctor, not our normal one, but onewe had seen before, and told him what happened. he was able to tell us what was wrong with him without even looking at him and how to fix it. I knew there was something wrong. a quite kid doesnt just start screaming like that for no reason. and to think, the hospital could have had us just ignoring my poo little boy while he was in pain for ages, because they figured we were bad parents. Yeah, they always imply we don't know a thing about our son because we're young. 'babies do that sometimes' Yeah right they do!! when their SICK! Anyway, just thought I would say hi and let everyone know that its all good here and i hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday :) |
