Apparently I have a "reputation"

Well there is no denying that these two are brothers. Jacob (left) at 5 mos. Kolby (right) at 5 mos. I'm sure if you saw a pic of Keith at 5 mos, you'd agree that they all have the same features.

So there have been people knocking on my door asking when I will be re-opening the day-home and if I have space for their kid(s). Weird. Though I am certainly not upset! I finally asked someone why they were approaching me about care for their kids and I was told that I have a great reputation not only around the neighbourhood, but among "moms" as having a wonderful set-up, and a great program! WOWZERS !!! I never expected anything like that to happen to me, but that is sooo great!
It really makes me feel guilty for 1) having days where I am fustrated with the kids 2) having days where I would just rather spend the day playing outside than do anything "creative" inside.
I have just become aware that I am being "watched". I don't mean that in a paranoid sort of way, just that when we are at the park, or elsewhere, my relationship with each of the kids and how we interact could determine if my "reputation" will stay as it is.

Ginger - the family sweetheart
The Berg Side: Picture Taken May Long Weekend 2006

So not much has happened over the weekend. Stampede is now over, not that it really affects out lives. The weather has been absolutley beautiful, and when we can spend the day outside - it is a good day! On Monday, Jacob, Alec (the little boy I look after) Kolby and I walked to the school to play in the park. Michelle (the lady who used to care for Jacob before I left work) was there with the 6 little ones she was caring for! It was fun. And because we walked, well the boys ran really, they barely made it through lunch without doing the "falling asleep head droop"! As much as I enjoy spending the day with the boys, it is very nice to have them all, yes all three of them, sleep at the same time.

Yesterday I had the photographer come in to take pics of Kolby and Jacob. I haven't had any pictures done as of yet of Kolby or both the boys together. It was very enlightening to see someone else try and make a stubborn 3 year old smile. Jake pulled it off though. He really loves the camera, I think that Jake was put off more by the camera MAN than anything. He is a natural!

I can't hear Alec and Jacob and that can only mean one thing - BIG TROUBLE!

Talk soon
