November...

We finally had out first snowfall of the year - started snowing 2 days ago. Jake HAD to go play as soon as he got home from school!

Looks like Lindsey is trying out for the cheer squad. "Ready! and. 2 4 6 8 who do we appreciate? Go Knights Go Knights Gooooooo Knights!!!"

I caught him just in time!

And yes, he is standing on the counter!

Stacey left. We took her to the airport on the 11th. Shock, then anger, then acceptance. I was disappointed at first, and now I think it is definately the best thing. A lack of experience (her) combined with a lack of experience (my experience with a nanny) is just a disaster waiting to happen.

I am still at the Co^Op, as a "Front-end Cashier". Working very minimal hours. Good work though! Nice to have a regular adult conversation!

Jake will have his first Christmas concert on the 19th of December! I've already charged the camcorder's battery! I am soooo excited. Skating is going really well for Jake too! He is registered for the winter semester, but not in "Learn-to Skate"! He got moved up to "Pre-Hockey!!" Every time he moves up a class he gets a sticker on his helmet, so he knows when he has moved up and is very proud of himself. He will be starting gymnsatics in January too. He wants to learn how to do flips! I don't even know where he would have learned about flips and gymnastics, but he is totally excited!

Lindsey is sitting on her own really well! She can get up to sitting when she "falls" over and is really changing so much very day! And as you can see - she loves Cheerios! And puffed wheat too.

Kolby is speaking so much more! He has quite the vocabulary - though he doesn't say sentences, he can get across what it is that he wants. He loves the camera - every time it comes out he runs over, stands right in front of it and says "chssssss". Cheese.

They grow up soooo fast!

This post is from from my other blog here

So October has come and gone without me mentioning any of it. Here's a quick recap:

picked up Stacey from the airport on the 1st;
Jacob started skating - the learn to skate program;
went to lake for Thanksgiving, left Thursday night came home Monday night;
flew to Vancouver with Lindsey on the 11th and flew home on the 14th;
celebrated my 30th and my Granny's 80th birthday while down on the coast (HUGE thank you to my mom and dad for making that happen);
wished the best to mom B for a super speedy recovery from her surgery;
started cashier training at the grocery store - unions really do have an upside after-all - who new?;
Keith started hockey;
wished Jasmine a super duper birthday;
Jacob moved up a class in skating and really has improved with his swimming as well;
Jacob went to a Hallowe'en Howler party and his girlfriend and her sister were there too;
Jacob moved up another class in skating;
Jacob was a dinosaur, Kolby was Tigger and Lindsey was a little batgirl for Hallowe'en;
celebrated Lindsey's first tooth;

NOVEMBER so-far:

celebrated Lindsey's second tooth;
traded the van for a "new-to-me" suv;
enjoyed (jj) waking up to the first snow fall of the season - which incidentally was gone by 10am;
had a talk with Jacob about Rememberance Day and who soldiers are and what it means to die (that was awful BTW);
Jacob moved up another class in skating - he seems to have a knack for this skating thing;
and that brings us to today - and nothing much has happened today.

Kindergarten is really agreeing with Jacob. He is learning a ton of new things and I enjoy hearing the new songs, and stories that he brings home almost daily. He really likes his teacher too which is just fantastic. Mrs Larson was my kindergarten teacher and she was/is the best teacher EVER! HOLLA Mrs. Larson!!!

Pics to follow ASAP
