This post is from from my other blog here I've been on temporary leave from our family blog - sorry all!
So there has been Kolby's 1st birthday, February 28, a visit from Gramma and Papa, DST, St. Patrick's Day, the first day of Spring, and many days of snow, sun, and wind!
Kolby's Birthday was pretty uneventful. In fact both he and Jake were in bed and sleeping by 7pm, as they both had caught a cold. Keith had a very late day at work and didn't get home until after 8:30pm. We had already decided that we would wait until that Saturday to do something because Keith's parent's were going to be in town. So on Friday night, Jake and I made carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese icing and all topped off with sprinkles! Then Saturday afternoon we did the singing of the song and let Kolby go with his very own cupcake!

Here is Jake and Gramma showing off their huuuuuge muscles!!!

We signed Jake up for T-Ball this year. It is the ONLY organized sport that he was allowed to play! The Little League has their cut-off dates set up around the actual season, not at the end of the year! Why all sports don't do it that way, I just don't understand. So he has a bat, glove, and some balls - all T-Ball sized. Part of the mandatory equipment is a "can", their words not mine. Keith found one and when Jake tried it on and ran around - he looked HILARIOUS!! He is going to have to get used to it though. We don't have a stand for the T-ball, but Jake and I went out into the yard and I just tossed the balls to him. He connected on a few. It was too funny, instead of running to where first base would be, he ran to get the ball!! At his sports class they had the stands and he could swack those balls pretty good.
The public School Board made a huge decision for the 2007 - 08 school year. They have moved the cutoff date from Dec 31 to Feb 28. So Jake CAN go to school this year. We did register him to secure his spot, but we haven't fully decided if he will attend this year or not. Now this puts Kolby in a hard spot for when he gets to be school aged. He WILL be the youngest child in his class if he goes when he is first allowed. Again, maybe not an ideal situation, but at least the choice is ours!
Here is Kolby discovering that he likes to climb. Jake, as you can see, is very concerned about his brother's well-being. Jake is very protective of Kolby.

Kolby is just totally oblivious to the heart palpitations he causes to everyone around him when he decides to climb. Onto chairs, tables, whatever is higher then the ground is fair game to him!

So the pregnancy is going well. I am now less than a month away from my due date, April 18. There was a minor concern that perhaps the baby was upside down, but apparently it is just not so! My BP is back to its normal 90/60. Baby's heart rate is usually around 150 and I'm almost convinced that it may have 4 arms and 4 legs for all the pushing, punching, ramming and smacking is does!.
The day home is set to be closed on the 13th of April. I haven't fully decided on a date to reopen yet, but I do know that I will not be looking after more than 5 kids total! Preferably 4 kids, but I wouldn't mind a super-casual every once in a while.
I will make a larger effort to keep everyone up to date on what is going on in our lives. CIAO
