One Very Happy Mum.

Comment Published at 22:0322:0336 comments36 comments109 Visits109 VisitsReport

I am one happy Mum,  it has been 6 weeks since last I spoke to my son in England, ( yeah I know a sook). With the difference in time zones,  makes it hard to make contact.

Yesterday we made contact ( thanks to skype) yippee, hooray,  it warmed this old Mum's heart to see her son & Juyla and to know they are doing well.

It was  just so great catching up and hearing of all the exciting things they have been doing and of all the countries they have been visiting....I'm sure their feet have not touched the ground, good for them.

Wanted to share a couple of pictures from their trip to Egypt & one from Italy, which I thought were cleverly taken.

JAMIE KISSING THE SPHINX

JAMIE TALLER THAN THE PYRAMID

IN ITALY HOLDING UP THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA

So I am one happy Mum.

This is daft before anyone says it is, Haa Haa!  I have entered That's Life & Take 5 Competitions since they started and have won  quite a few prizes over the years, but have never seen my NAME in PRINT, Hee Hee!

This morning Steve was glancing through the magazines and said "you have won some perfume"....Let me see, not thinking about the prize, all  I wanted to see was my name in print, yep there it was, YIPEEEEEEEEEEE!  Double happy Jan!  Daft Yes!

To top my day off, I enjoyed a leisurely walk along the beach....with the gorgeous sun glimmering across the surface over the  aqua blue water, so gentle was the ocean this morning with the waves just caressing the shore.

One could not have wanted for a more perfect day......hoping everyone's day was enjoyable in one way or an other.

Much Love

I do so enjoy my walks along the beach Lui, it is just so peaceful, it is my time and my space, love it.

Still wonder what the onlookers thought of this fellow pouting thin air...the mind boggles!

What great pics.  I love those corny tourist poses! although you do feel like a bit of a fool when the locals are watching.  I can't wait to travel again someday.  hopefully next time with someone who can have as much fun as Jamie looks like he is having.

Dear Josie it will happen for you one day...that soul mate will come along and you will experience all the joys life can offer you.

Yes the poses must look strange to onlookers but hey that is half the fun and the results are great.

Re: One Very Happy Mum.

What clever photos, love it. And love skype too. Worked out mine and hooked up with James last weekend and we are going to use it again tonight. The best technology! Hey cool, I won some perfume too. It was Elizabeth Arden. Missed my name in print though. It just turned up in the mail on Tuesday. A present I wasn't aware I was getting. Pretty cool! Glad all is well with your son. Sounds like he is having a blast. Good you got to see him almost as good as the flesh if you could just reach through the screen for that hug! LOL

Yippeeeee you got skype up and working, yes it is the best technology for sure, we might be able to hook up now, would be great to talk to you sometime.

Thanks for letting me know what the perfume was, hehe! Normally the prizes I have won over the years just turn up and give me a nice surprise but this once Steve found my name yeah!

Yes if only we could reach  through the screen, would be lovely to get that hug.

Hey!  You were in print!  Congratulations but I remember a remarkable photo that had your name beside it in a book!!!  You fed Jamie well... must have been very tough dressing him!  Does he have to pay extra to visit all these wonderful places?  No.  Guess he just walks on over!  Ahhh a giant among men.

Re: One Very Happy Mum.

Marg silly aren't I was more excited seeing my name in print than the prize. Your memory my friend, yes  my  name was in print near my picture in that  book, forgot!

Believe it or not Jamie was a skinny little thing until he hit about 17 years old, when he started going to the gym because of other kids picking on him. All of a sudden he had a growth spurt and didn't look back, kids never picked on him again. He was always a good eater.

Love you Morest xxxx

Maybe that's because you don't need perfume, you're sweet enough as it is!  Those are fun and great pictures, so glad you had some time with Jamie and he shared his many travels with you!   I do remember that beautiful picture that was in that book though!

Re: One Very Happy Mum.

Oh Dear Sweet Marg, if you could smell me after a week of trying to have showers with one hand, you would say I need the perfum Haa Haa!

That darn time zone is a real nuisance at times, did so enjoy catching up with him...right now the both of them are in Chicago attending a friends wedding, some have all the luck.

Chicago!  Where have they not been?  LOL!  Good for them, they are covering the globe!

But Sweety, you have the art of running through a shower and coming out all sparkely clean, can't believe it. So there!!!  Haaaaa, should have seen Hubby and I after travelling home with wet stinky dog!  Now if ever a situation needed a gallon or two of perfume it was that one, several cups for Hubby and me, half right on stinky dog and some for the car!

Re: One Very Happy Mum.

Jamie would love that if I told him you said he was a Aussie Hunk, won't be telling him, it might go to his head Haa Haa!

It was great to make contact with him after so long...Jamie has been taking photo lesson with a new camera, so I think these were taking as a practise session.

Hope you got to take your walk along the beach, to recharge your batteries, have a feeling lately you could do with it.

Your 5th comment is a blast, heeeheee!

It is nice for some to be jet setting around playing with the wonders of the world! LOL  Certainly looks like they are having a nice time.

Glad you were able to make contact.  A mum never stops worrying about her kids, even when they are all grown up and 100% responsible for themselves!

Exciting having your name in the magazine! Congrats on your win!

Re: One Very Happy Mum.

So right arna even when they are fully  grown, you still need that contact and never stop worrying, especially when they are so far away. I so miss him, like you will miss your sister's.

They are so taking every opportunity to  visit as many countries as possible before coming back to Australia, he named countries I have never heard of. When he decides to settle down he he, he will have many great memories to look back on.

Thought the photo's were cleverly done.

YEAH name in print, don't worry about the prize, silly hey?
