Francis will probably want to be out of them when the baby comes!  He will see he is the big boy and baby gets the diapers!!  Haa,haaa nothing like having a big huge ...see I told you so, waiting for Daddy!  Or the other thing you were eluding to might work better!!!  Shhh... there might be children about!! I'm of the mind that if they're not ready, not to push them because it could make them  fear it.  I would try and sit him on the potty when he wakes up and then a few times throughout the day and just take it slow and easy. It is weird for them to wear nothing at first as they're so used to the close fitting nappies, so being persistant helps. Once he's okay with having nothing on, you'll notice how much easier it is.

Keep at it and he will get there in the end.  As with everything new, he has to find his comfort zone and get used to it.  I think you have made a great start so far.

Have you tried the pull ups?  He might feel more comfortable wearing them, as they are more like a nappy.  MicroMe loves them, however we are limiting his use of them, as they cost more than nappies.  We find he likes to wear his undies when Barney Bear wears undies too.

I would probably stop for now and when he gets down to the last 5 diapers that you have tell him 5 left, 4, left, 3 left, 2 left and this is the last one Francis and then you have to use your undies. Then there is none left for him to want to put on and you can't put it on because you are sick of hearing him ask. There is no going back when there are no more diapers.

yeah tell me about it my son gets back wednesday he has been away for 13 days he is currently in disneyworld orlando florida

he coached the australian football skool under 14s they played in the disney cup international youth soccer tournament organised of course by the americans

they are staying at the resort and the first 3 days was all theres to do as they pleased and in between the other days when they played and a little break before they played the finals they went to magical kingdom and epcot .

hopiefully the rain will ease off for hubby and daughter sad about the camera

sorry i cant be of help with francis because my boys were at a creche so they were toilet trained both by me and the creche. when they see other toddlers its easier  because they also want to do what the older kids are doing

Oh dear, the toilet training isn't fun is it! Not sure what to tell you as I never had that trouble with Jack & Oscar doesn't mind either...keep it up & he will get used to it I guess.

Keep busy...not too busy for me though ok! LOL
