Hi all, and to those who popped into my lounge thank you.. I will get around to replying eventually....
My house is looking like Toys R us, at the moment... Not that the kids were spoiled, just that Francis was given a collection of cars, and a Thomas the tank train track thing, and box of dinosaurs that just have bits, and those bits are every where, every time I try to clean up something he decides he is playing with that and cracks the shits... So I while he was asleep I cleaned up everything, with in 10 minutes of him waking up it was all back out again.. AHHHHHHH
Francis is currently upstairs talking himself to sleep, while hubby and Cam are out snowboarding. Her mum came to pick her up yesterday to go a party last night and was three hours late, and then an hour late bringing her back this morning.. We have been here for five years and her mother still has this uncanny way of getting lost, mind you she has only been here about 5 or six times, but still we live just off a freeway so it is piss easy to get here...
Last night Francis, myself a friend and her kids, crossed the boarder to Ottawa just outside a place called Cornwell to see some friends, I am so glad we took the hubby's car because it decided to snow on us..
The kids are happy, Hubby is happy, and I am happy although still some what tired, although I have managed to start sleeping again which is nice, still coughing but it is now manageable.
Both my husband and I had dreams (on the same night) that I had found Jack... Oh if only that was true. But who knows I don't dream like my mother, but I still believe that there is magic in dreams, and we may just find him yet...
Heres hoping you all had a fantastic Christmas and a most excellent new year xxxxxx |

I'll be honest and say I would not be on minti today if it were not for the gifts I received.. I was given two CD's so I am currently ripping them onto my computer.. And what do you do while waiting for that to happen??? Of course you visit minti.. And while downloading or uploading I think it is called uploading, photos onto my computer...
Every one was very happy this morning with what Santa brought them... Although I had trouble getting Francis to open his presents... He opened one and just wanted to play with that, and refused to open any more, so we had to open some a little to spike some interest in them.. Finally he got them all open and I have been tripping all over them for the best part of the morning..
Camille is lost in her DS (I think it is called) because we brought her a new game for that, and Hubby is currently up playing the wii (also a new game we got Camille... ) So I am here ripping CD's and putting photos on the computer... Also want to upload a bit of footage for my mother.. She sent Francis a spiderman that you throw at the wall and it climbs down, you know the sticky kind that when gravity takes over it slowly climbs down the wall... It is very funny to watch because while Francis loves to watch it he refuses to touch it.. He says it is disgusting, but if French it is much cuter.. He hates the feel of it when he touches it.. I threw it up on the ceiling and he ran under it just as it was falling, he jumped 10 feet to the left and screamed like a little girl.. Oh how hard is it not to tease just a little... So I let his sister do it and she kept chasing him (ok only for five minutes until I said leave him alone) but she kept trying to give it to him and he kept running saying degu (said that way not sure how it is spelt but means disgusting). But he has no problems asking me to throw it...
Anyway I hope every one has had an excitingly fun Christmas as we have had so far, off to the in-laws tonight yipppeee love Christmas at the in-laws..

But here I am.. Hey for the last four nights I have woken up in my sons bed... Why or how did I get there not exactly sure, but I managed in my sleep to climb over the baby gate and lay down beside him...
We are all sick here, my cough keeps me awake at night until when I finally do fall asleep in my own bed, I find myself awake in my sons.. I don't sleep walk, so the only thing I can think of is my son had called for me and I went in to comfort him and fell asleep with him... Hmmm interesting.. It has been done before.. The other day I did it, and had my mobile phone with me... Funny thing about that is why did I take the mobile phone?? I don't know but I did it is usually beside my bed... Anyway I for some reason at 7am called my father in-law... I think maybe I went to turn of an alarm that I did not wake up to, and called him instead.... When I did wake up the hubby said why did you call my dad???? I checked my phone log sure enough there it was a 33 second call to my FIL.... Poor guy was worried about me.. I was so tired I did not even here the land line go which to me is usually a magnet, he ended up calling my husbands mobile phone to ask if I was ok... To which my husband replied she fell asleep with her phone again... LOL
Went shopping today and blew the budget... But in saying that I had a day to myself.... Hubby stayed home with Francis while I went out and shopped... I spent the money I was supposed to use to buy new clothes for me for Christmas on some perfume for my mum... In Australia the 100ml bottle of perfume my mother just loves costs $160 AUD... Here for the same bottle it costs $66.50 CAD (not much of a difference with the exchange rate)... And to top it off there was a 20% discount before Christmas, so I got the bottle for about $55.00 I really could not say no to that.. So my mother was one happy lady when I rang her up and said I was sending her a bottle... I got myself a pair of pants, and some shoes, but well my top turned into my mothers perfume so I still have a couple of days to find a top... Thats ok... Brought the kids a couple of stocking fillers, and a bloody lovely statue for anyone who loves comic books.. Ok mostly for the men I'd imagine... But I brought a Superman statue only so many made, blah blah blah, yeah I'll take it... This year for the first time ever I am actually content with what I brought the husband.... I mean I really suck at giving him gifts.. But this year.. Yes baby I have hit the jack pot.. Of course he will have to forgo his birthday present but I think he will be happy...
Thats it for now, I have to go and tidy stuff...
Bye and once again merry christmas but I have a feeling I'll be back before the day... I have this thing for computers and minti...

Well it is that time of year when I really need to get myself off the computer so here is my attempt... My last note before the holidays...
Today I received some lovely gifts from three of the mothers at the day care, which was just lovely... Of course there is always some good mothers there that care... LOL It was lovely... And now the feeling of Christmas is starting to creep in... Oh I have the spirit but even after 8 years here in Canada I still have not gotten used to the fact that Christmas has snow so it takes me a little longer to get into the spirit...
But tomorrow I will brave the last of the weekends before that special day and get the hubby's present.. Also I have to clean the car because like last year I am handing it over to our friend.. Of course now the friend will have to pay to get the car fixed but it is nothing major, and it is a fair price for me going with out a car for the winter months.. To be honest I don't really need it I have every thing I need in walking distance, and well if I don't I just wait for hubby to get home and steal his car, it is way better then mine anyway... Mind you the friend will be happy with the price of gas the day the car broke I had put in a full tank.... I should mind you go out and see if it is still running as it has been and still is under a pile of snow at the moment.. Hmmm I better go out there and clean out the car... It just needs the muffler reattached...
Heres wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and no doubt I will pop back in from time to time over the holidays but I really do need to get my butt off this computer chair.. That ain't no way to make a baby is it?????
Anyway and just in case I don't pop in (but I am sure I will) heres wishing you all a fantastic New Year as well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

So happy, my son and step daughter have been so kind as to share there colds with me and the hubby...
And every time I or the husband go into a coughing fit our son yells out "Are you ok".. LOL |

Well like marg we had the snow fall non stop for a day... And here are some pictures taken from that day and a few days before...

The flat patch is the lake... In-laws holiday house.... My car and the hubby's car getting covered in snow...

the little black strip is the BBQ.... Hubby's Car, and note the there are no stairs :)

Francis in the snow out front.. Note the tree...
This is the tree... Note the level of snow is much higher..
You should see it today... |

Other then staying up late with them, sleeping sitting up so they can sleep sitting up to help them breath, the answer to the above question is......
WHEN THEY PUT THEMSELVES TO BED....
I could not believe it, we took the day off today because he had a runny nose, was up most of the night coughing, and was very niggly about anything and every thing... We sat in front of the television for most part of the morning with a blanket.. And for anyone who reads my blog will know my kid does not really sit still for to long period of time, let alone want to go to sleep when he is told....
But this afternoon I asked if he wanted to sleep.. He said No, then with a very thoughtful look on his face said yes, turned around walked up the stairs and jumped into bed pulled over the covers and asked me to take a nap with him.. By rights I should as I too have had little sleep if not less then he has poor little bugger and no doubt we will have some of the same tonight... But hubby has gone out in search for the ultimate cough syrup, (Which my son hates), he found some bubble gum flavored cough strips which might just work.. But Francis had fallen asleep before hubby got home... He is propped up on a couple of pillows and is sleeping as comfortable as possible right now... So I'll wait to see how his cough is when he wakes up.. The real trick is to get him to take his Asthma pump.... But I am sure we will manage.. I really hope this goes before Christmas because I am sure he will be so much more into it this year, I would hate for him to be ill.... |

Ok well today was an almost accident free day but has not left any long lasting injuries that will lead people to question how it is exactly my husband treats me (which by the way is often like a princess, or well ok maybe not a princess but pretty close.. LOL)
My son in his overacting excited time today ran over to me so fast and just as he got to me and I went to give him a hug, he put his head down at the same time I did and bumped his head against my two front teeth... OUCH.. Thankfully the teeth are ok... His head is ok...
My eye looks like I can't work out what eye makeup to put on.. But it is a lovely dark shade of bluish purplish close on black color and if it happened two weeks ago would have matched my butt.... Anyway enough of my klutzy ways...
Today was amazing.. Woke up and wow did my husband have some work to do.. SNOW SNOW SNOW EVERY WHERE... BBQ on the balcony was totally covered.... And when I went and stood by the balcony door the snow was coming up just above my hips...
Then it was time to leave the house.. So Francis and I rugged up in our snow suits, I got out his fly boat which is actually a sleigh( because believe me you don't want to be pushing a pram in the snow.) He calls it a fly boat because of "WONDER PETS".. A show he absolutely loves and my hubby and I have grown to dislike.... Anyway they have this boat thing that flies... Blah blah Francis loves it that is all that matters.. LOL
Getting back to the snow...
Our front steps had gone, so I had to be very careful not to fall as I would have lost Francis in it as it had piled up twice his hight... He did how ever love the sleigh ride... :) I guess it is more like a sled actually....
I have photos of the snow but will pass them on when the invalid file thingy is fixed... |

Bleue (said blue) is the word we use for bruises in French.. Or at least here in Quebec...
Okay, some of you would have read about my butt and it's bruise....
Well now I have had that bruise going on three weeks now, and it has only just started to look like it is leaving.
Last week I opened a cupboard at the day care, and a video cassette fell on my foot, you know the corner bit.. Of course I was not wearing any shoes.. So yep another bruise....
But today tops the cake.. A good old fashion head butt from my son to the bone just above the eye! I guess you'd call it the eyebrow, it made me scream, it made me cry... And it made another bruise... I swear I really hope these things come in three's because if I keep this up I'll be black and blue all over... It hurts to squint... LOL

This year I am going to print up small wallet size photos and put them on the presents that belong to the faces....
That way my son can either find his own presents or hand us the presents with our faces on it..
He will know who they belong to because our faces are on the gifts instead of our names... And with any luck it will stop him from trying to open every one elses presents.... |

My step daughter has her friend over for the weekend.. And I got accepted into a little girly conversation.. Actually it was about their mothers... But hey I got accepted into a private conversation by my step daughter and it was ACE...
Oh and we put up our Christmas tree... Yipppeee it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... :)
Well thats as exciting as it gets around here at the moment..
Hope all is well and exciting for you all I am off to bed as it is way past yesterday and I should have gone then.. Night all xxxx |

We went to a place that has an indoor park like the ones at Mc Donalds only 10 times bigger.. It was fantastic.. And I had so much fun crawling though everything sliding down falling in the balls.. Tons of fun.. Oh I am sure Francis had fun too.. LOL
We went with the day care, and all the parents showed up, except for the two brothers, but that was expected, they never show up.... Sad, of course the kids came though.... (It is so sad because we know for a fact that mum is at home, and they were told weeks ago we were having the Christmas party...)
It was so funny I was the only mum getting in there with the kids, and they all wanted to play with me (the kids not the mums)... That was great, so while all the other mothers talked mum stuff, I was screaming lets go lets go, take the slide, this way, that way, is everyone together....
Needless to say, Francis fell asleep the moment I did the buckles on his car seat.... But he is still wide awake now..
I of course did not take any photos of the kids playing because I was playing myself and thought it smart not to take my camera in with me.. But I did manage to get this photo.... Ok getting an invalid file again for uploading photos so I'll come back later when it is working... :) But the place is here.... Orange bleue... Sorry to all non quebecers....
On top of all of that... The hubby and his ex had a parent teacher meeting tonight.. And Camille is doing amazingly well.. So much so that her father was so proud of her and I could see it... It has been a few years since we have been soooo happy with her marks... she is above average for most of her stuff, just above but above all the same, when just last year we were thinking of keeping her down...
Dad is out of hospital, still has his eyesight (in one eye) for now, but that could change, but dad is ok with that. They need to really work on his blood pressure though... That is a bit scary... But he is home, happy and just trying not to stress...
So good news all round.. Who knows I may win the lotto this week.. Maybe I should buy a ticket..... |

I have two places I call home, but it depends on which country I am in at the time.... But for the moment, when I say I wanna be home, I mean Australia...
I got a phone call this morning telling me my father is in hospital and will be there for a few days yet, pending results of many tests...
Would you believe that he ended up in hospital after seeing an optometrist. He went to get his eyes checked and the lady said off to the hospital.. He was being tested for a stroke.... Over the past six months dads eye site had been getting worse, so he figured it was time to up grade his glasses. Turns out my dad was extremely close to losing his eyesight. In fact it is still a possibility in one eye. They thought it was a stroke but tests have ruled that out. Now they think it is due to his blood pressure, but they are not really sure so he is still in having tests...
I just want to go home and sit at the hospital and play taxi for my mum....
One of my biggest worries about living so far from home, is that something will happen to my parents or sister and it is going to take me over 26 hours to get there provided I can come up with 3000$ in minutes to book a ticket and get my ass on a plane... Thank fully my dad is not to worried, and surprisingly enough he is not to worried about losing his eye sight in one eye anyway because my father in-law only has one eye, and my dad says if my FIL can do it so can he...
There is still a slight chance that he will be operated on, but the chance is very slight, he is still in hospital awaiting tests, and their results, he says he will find out today, which means I won't know until I ring in the morning....
I am grateful my mum and sister did not tell me about the possibility of a stroke or I would have been more of a wreck today then I already was waiting to talk to him....
Ok well that is it for now..
So far he is still in good spirits, getting semi good news, so that is better then bad spirits and horrible news... |

Forgot to tell you... LOL
Tonight I took a shower with my son because of my bruised butt from the fall down the stairs I am still not up to sitting on two butt cheeks so instead of getting the hubby to give my son a bath I figured I'd take him into the shower with me...
Anyway as you guys may know here we call poo CACA, so when ever I change my sons diaper, I say you did a big caca...
Well as we were getting undressed for the shower I have just stepped out of my jeans... And my son starts saying Caca, well he is naked so I thought maybe he wanted to do one, so I went to put him on the potty but he was looking at my butt, and I realized he thought I had caca on my butt when it was actually my bruise...
So glad I did not tell him it was a booboo because well he kisses those... :) |

Over the years of being with your significant other you tend to come out with the same lame jokes as they do, and you laugh at yourself for them because 1, you know they are lame, and 2, you can't believe you said something that your significant other would say....
For example... Tonight one of the members of our dinner party was talking about her perfume, and said it was called Dunne, and that she did not know how to pronounce it... In a flash I said "Dunny, smells like crap." (then after realizing what I had said to a bunch of Canadians, had to explain what a dunny was, and apologize because I did not really mean she smelt like crap... Luckly the fact that I am Australian I was able to get away with it.. Aussie sense of humor is not always welcome at a dinner table but you can always say... " Opps sorry forgot what country I was in... "
Of course then this turned into a conversation about the old and new toilet systems of Australia, the dunny, the long drop, and the good old Thunder box.... Which when last time in Australia my husband had the chance to sample the lovely out back public long drop... He described it to the members of our dinner guests, right between the entree and the main meal.. Thankfully they were still able to eat.. Because where I would have said, "a long drop is a big hole in the ground with a box on top of it." Hubby says, "You shit in a hole, stinks like crap and man the flies. And your lucky if you can find the toilet paper"..... You should have seen the look on their faces when I explained what a thunder box was..... |

I don't eat Sushi... But it was a friends 40th so you can't say no... Thankfully there was some cooked chicken and the hubby even got some steak Japan style.. Very nice....
But for those of you who live in the land of tipping... It was very strange, we actually had the waiter come back and tell us we did not pay enough for tipping... Why did we not pay enough for the tipping.. Because the service sucked.. Food was great, but the service really really sucked.... Anyway the guy came back to us and told us that he forgot to add the 15% tip.... Which is unusual for the area of Montreal... Sure you tip, but it has never been added to the bill... (Not to the places we have been anyway.)
Now normally I would not care about paying 15% tips, and usually we pay more then that if the service was good... But to have the guy come back and say sorry we forgot to charge you 15% for the tips so you did not tip us enough, that just sucks.. I figure you tip what you would normally tip and extra if they were extra good... I mean I worked in the business of tipping, and if I sucked I'd expect my tips too as well.... Hence the reason I always did a good job (I have never been a waitress, but if I was good in the kitchen the waitress got her food out in time and I get a % of the tips... So we had to be good together...
It was their mistake in the first place, I'd understand if they forgot to charge us for an item, like a coffee, or a meal, but for the tip.... A tip is something you are supposed to get for doing a good job, if you don't do a good job you don't get it.. So don't come to me asking for more... If we lived in Australia they were so bad they probably would not have gotten a tip at all...
Ok how sad is that, I probably repeated myself saying the same thing over and over, but it is just strange to be told you did not pay enough for a tip.... Needless to say hubby told them we won't be coming back.. Funny because we would never have gone back anyway, we don't eat sushi.... We were there because our friend turned 40, and unless he plans of having another birthday party there we would not be going back...
What was even more amusing though, was when the guy coming to ask for more money, told our waiter (in front of us) that the service was not good, the waiter said "Oh thats ok... " And it was not even busy.... But hey thats ok as long as you give me my tip....

Well I have been complaining of a sore arm.. Well both actually, I have been blaming the pain in the left arm on the fall with Francis, and the pain in the left from the fall with Francis and the fall the other day that gave me a beautiful blue butt (looking kind of yellowish now)...
Anyway tonight I was on Francis duty meaning it was going to take me 3 hours to put him to sleep... I know that my sore arms are partly to be blamed on my falls, but they are not going to get any better because I discovered today after a guitar battle with Slash from Guns and Roses that the game Guitar Hero 3 is contributing to the pain in my left arm...
How stupid I really need to stop playing this game yet it is so addictive... I have not been playing every day, but when I do play it I over do it, I played two hours straight today instead of cleaning stuff, while Francis was at day care..> Well it is the only chance I really get to play the games because usually the hubby has it... :) Anyway, when I stopped I noticed that my arm was hurting even more, but I thought just one more song.. Then as I was playing I realized that I press the buttons down so hard on the guitar that you'd think I was going to break it...
OH well that is the price we pay for some mindless don't think about cleaning or kids fun.. :) |
| |
|
Well last night, got myself to bed early, just before midnight...
And would you believe it my son slept until 8am.. I actually had to wake him to go to day care... :)
My butt is still blue, hard to pull the jeans up with out saying ouch, and a few other chosen words between clenched teeth...
Tonight it took me three hours to put Francis to sleep.. But not before he turned on his tape player in his bedroom.. Poor kid must have turned up the volume before he turned on the player because I was sitting in the lounge next thing you know his room is so loud and his head is sticking out over the gate and the shocked look on his face said it all... He scared himself silly.. Poor little man.. I gave him big hugs, wiped his tears and unplugged the tape deck and put him to bed.. Finally he went to sleep...
Tomorrow I am going to be at the day care for an hour then off home I'll go and leave Francis there to play with his friends... With any luck I'll get some stuff done and they won't call me because he won't sleep...
Tomorrow I plan on buying a Christmas tree because my step daughter will be here, and what better time to put up a christmas tree then when the whole family is together..> Then on Saturday we are going to attempt christmas shopping... Oh yes time to start.. LOL
Anyway thats it from me for now...

I have decided on an early night tonight...
I went to bed late as usual, but when I finally got there, Francis decided he'd start coughing. So I spent the night listening to him making sure he was ok.. He had a rough sleep that is for sure..
Hubby after a hard days work was not feeling to well, so he fell asleep on the sofa, and that meant I had Francis duty, just when I thought he was about to nod off, I'd come down and to the basement sign in and he'd start calling me. This happened a few times, and out I'd sign and up I'd go.. Because the hubby had a headache it was best to avoid the screams so yes tonight I gave into Francis's calls and requests for more milk.... But on the bright side it took only two hours for him to fall asleep instead of three, now if his dad put him to bed he'd of been alseep in one..
So heres hoping I can actually fall asleep when I go to bed before midnight..
Night all...
And toosh.. Your turn on Scrabble... :) |

Well we went to the doctors office today.. The ears, nose and throat doctor...
Anyway while we were waiting in the office the lady said if Francis was a good boy she would give him a lolly pop afterwards.. WOW see his eyes light up when he saw the bowl of lolly pops..
Needless to say he screamed through the appointment..
We got into the room actually I should say I dragged him into the room, really he put up a fight.. The doc says come on in.. I picked up my son oh so professional, I sat up on the table, held his arms against his chest and held his forehead against mine.. All the while my son is screaming.. The doctor looks at me and says... "You've done this before..." Well yes because he is so strong and hates doctors with a passion.. When we had our dog and I'd take him to the vets if I had Francis with me the dog had to go in alone.. :) Francis could not even handle that...
Anyway when we came he said "bye MR" In french but I can't spell it. .LOL Then as we went out he went straight to the lady with the lolly pops, and she let him chose, he went to take two but she said he could only have one...
But he said "one for maman", Which had everyone in the office going ohhh ahhhh... Then I asked him to put it back because I did not want one, and I asked him what do you say... He says........
Merci Madame.
I was so proud that he added the madame on the end (to me it shows a sign of respect, well she was holding the lolly pops and what kid does not respect someone with lolly pops??)
And I loved it because every one in the office just melted saying "Ohhh how polite..."
So my job is done there, I have made my son into a polite little boy, I hope it stays that way... :)
Oh yeah and Francis will be getting his tonsils and adenoids out... Poor little guy, it will happen sometime in the new year... |
| |
|
I was up to my tricks again.. I yet again fell down some stairs.. Yep but this time at the day care... Talk about ouch...
Of course it was a laughing matter for everyone else, but now I have one blue butt cheek..
I did not realize it was so blue until Francis decided to push me around the kitchen table and I leaped from the pain.. Hubby says that bad hey let me have a look.. So down came the pants and the look on his face said it all... I went and had a look and wow pretty colors... :)
Oh so painful... SO here I sit on one butt cheek, trying not to think of it... :) Kind of hard though because there is a nice bump as well...
I slipped down the step, hit my butt and bounced the last three steps hitting them all... I tried to stop myself with my hand of course and screwed that up again from the last fall I had with Francis...
Oh woe is me.... But hey I am sure I'll be fine until the next bloody fall....

Last night was a lot of fun.. Finally our friend has found a girlfriend that I don't feel like just the best friends wife if you know what I mean...
When we used to go out with this guy I always felt uncomfortable because well you know how it is the girls go one way the guys go the other.. I had nothing to talk to his girlfriend about, she did not enjoy doing half the stuff I did which is a bit hard when they are at our place, and when at their place, we just sat around looking for something to talk about which was usually her paintings because it was the only thing of hers I really enjoyed... She organized my hens night, I do feel sorry for her though because (for anyone that does not know I got married 8 months after I met my husband and did not know a lot of people... ) but out of the girls I did know none of them knew each other.. But every one except the friends ex had fun, we had to stand in line at 281(strip club) for two hours before we got in, while we were there singing (why not what else is there to do while waiting in line), she was just standing there ashamed of us... :)
Anyway back on topic... Myself and the new girlfriend played tennis and bowling on the wii.. And then we tried our hands at Guitar Hero on the xbox360... All the time having fun, laughing, calling each other names (well it does get a bit competitive..) She is from France so her french is a little different, but I was able to understand it which was great... Yep I like this one hope he keeps her.. Oh and the men.. Well they had to watch... :)
I forgot to mention the bar tender was in fact.............. NEW ZEALAND... Had I have asked him how much my drink was last time before I handed over the card I would have heard him say Six, then I would have known.... :)
Oh well... LOL Still he was good to look at... Nothing wrong with reading the menu as long as you eat at home right girls... :)
Did I mention the old guy at the pub tried to pick me up??? Ok well he did not try but he said he would have if he was younger... :) So I guess I still have it... But then again it might just be my mixed up Aussie/French/Canadian accent... :) |
| |
|
Well yesterday I complained of a massive headache.. I ended up going to have a little sleep, the hubby came in and woke me up two minutes before my alarm (which was great) with a cup of coffee.... I still had my headache, but I had to go and pick up Francis... Which was great because he actually spent the day there meaning that he was not such a pain in the bum for them... :)
After picking him up he wanted to play in the snow which was coming down so pretty (sorry no camera on hand at the time). So we played outside for awhile and my headache left me which was even better... I was able to get ready to go to the pub...
The amusing part about going to the pub was originally we were three, and turned into six, it was a lot of fun... I left my car at my friends house and we chose to walk from there as it was not far... But it seems like miles when the wind picks up and blows snow everywhere.. It was actually amusing as we had trouble seeing where we were going. Ok not amusing to some, but there were three of us, two wanted to walk, one said we were crazy because the wind is going to blow the snow around.. We did not believe her.. LOL She was right... :) We got a lift home...
It was sad in a way because we were finished by 11pm... We felt old, and needed to get home to our husbands and children... We thought next time we will do it on a Saturday when we might have the urge to stay out a little later being that every one (except me) had just gotten home from work, fed their kids, and made sure their husbands would be ok...
I had to drive into town and just ran out of window washer fluid as I arrived at my friends... Now I know Marg will know what I am talking about... In the winter time NEVER EVER DRIVE YOUR CAR WITH OUT WINDOW WASHER FLUID... Thankfully there was a gas station really close so I did not have to get onto the freeway with out it...
This morning Francis had a dirty diaper, and decided to take it off and show it to me.. He was screaming "Look maman caca, maman caca.... Of course here he is with his dirty smelly diaper, and a dirty little bum.. I am grateful he did not stick it under my nose to show me.. :)
Anyway it is 1pm and I need to be cleaning up as we have friends coming over tonight.. My husbands best friend is bringing over his new girlfriend, so I really should make some kind of an effort to clean up.. THe only issue is hubby is doing the cooking and has already started.. It takes five hours. With any luck he won't make such a big mess... :)
