I did it.. I am now a fully fledged Canadian...

But you can't really say that I am not Australian so I guess that would make me a Canaussie. Or something along those lines... Either way both my son and I now have duel citizenship.. Yipppeeee

I passed my Citizenship test today received my papers and a little card that says I am a kanuk...  Now I can vote.. :)  I answered 20 Questions and studied for 100 which only 20 answers I needed.. But I get so nervous with tests I thought I'd even fail this one.. But I have to say it is one of the easiest tests that I have ever had to take... I wish all test were that easy.. Mind you it was an easy test but a lot was riding on it...

Today myself and 65 other people from a total of 35 different countries became Canadian today. We stood we pledged allegiance to the Queen in two languages sang the national anthem and then had cookies.. :)

Also other grate news, Um I have found a friend that I have not spoken to since year seven.. LOL  And the funny thing is she found me on Facebook. We don't know why but we have both been in each others minds for years wondering what ever happened to each other... It is not as if we remember actually being fantastic friends or doing anything overly exciting together other then one birthday party... LOL but it is great to know that she was also thinking of me.. WOW it is amazing how names just stick in your head and you have a slight memory of someone only to find out that they had the same small memory of you... :)

Yes finally we have done it..   I sent the hubby out today to buy our son a big boy bed instead of him sleeping on the futon sofa bed...  The base is just basic but it has the draws I want... Only issue is the mattress won't show up until next Saturday.   For some reason the store that sold beds, did not sell mattresses... Weird but hey the store he did buy the mattress from came with a lovely little Serta sheep...   Number 13...

Only problem was who gets this cute fuzzy little stuffed sheep?? Camille, Francis or I???? So far I have it.. :)

Francis has a little bit of a fever today.  I am hoping it will go down.. The only advantage of this was I myself was able to put Francis to sleep with out any fuss..  But he seems ok, just nice and warm..  I will just have to keep an eye on him...

Tonight I was finally able to put my son to bed myself.. Usually we have this thing where I leave the room and he tries to follow.. But tonight he did not, I fixed the baby monitor so I could hear what he was doing..

He was reading his book and playing with one of his toys for awhile but there was no calling for mummy, or daddy. And then I guess he just played himself to sleep...  Yipppeee..

Only issue I have to deal with now is since he has gotten into the big boy bed (still trying to find a new one for him, hope to pick one up this weekend.)  He wakes up at 5.30 or 6am. And this is killing me... But I will live. I think the bed is a bit uncomfortable.. So hopefully we can pick him up a new one and he will go back to comfortable sleeps..

Start at the day care four days a week next week.. Hope I can handle it.. :) Two days a week is pretty interesting with the bunch of kids we have, hope I can handle four.. :)

yep worked again...

Twice this week I have said the words "Clean it up please" and my son has actually done it.. In fact I have seen my son clean up with out me asking...  WOW.. I won't get to excited because I can't imagine it will last for long... LOL

Had a great time last night at the concert here in Montreal. We brought t-shirts to prove it.. :)
Phil Collins spoke French to every one which was great and some what amusing.. He speaks French like I did when I first started out, you can see him thinking really hard making sure he gets the words right.. :)

The tickets were a bit expensive for where we were sitting but at least we were not right up the back.. :)  We were a little off the to the side down front, not on the floor which would have been great. The tickets were the same price as those on the floor.. Still had a great time...

But this morning was even more fun.. My friend, her boyfriend and their two kids were looking after Francis and they stayed over night... We all stayed in our PJ's and my friends boyfriend made breakfast for us all which was just a hoot for me because that meant I did not have to.. He even went out to buy all the stuff...  It was my idea and I was about to get dressed to go out and get it all but he did it....  I like guests like that... YOu ask them to do you a favor and then they end looking after you as well.. :)

Anyway I am still in my PJ's but I have stuff that needs to be done. I am going to go and make  a 3D photo for my father in-law.. I hope I do a good job..

What do you do when you have news that you want to blog about and at the same time don't want to blog about...

Venting to my mum as well...

This news is going to make or break a family.. And it seems to be a work in progress.. What can I do??? I am just the outlaw..  Sure I can get in there and say my bit, offer comfort to those that need it, but will they see me as being real, or just well not so real..

I am sooo confused I don't know what to do.. I want to go and bitch slap the problem, my husband wants to ring it's neck.. That is how bad it is...   I have never seen him so angry.. And I am no good to him because I am beyond upset. I am upset and angry at the situation, I am angry and upset for what is happing to the people around me, I am upset for the people around me, and I am more then upset and angry that I can't offer any help what so ever to my husband...

My mother says I need to let him calm down and he will come to me when he is ready, he can't talk about it with out blowing up.. Not at me but at the situation... ANd I know it is going to get worse, today is just the beginning.. Well it is not the beginning.. It started as a big rock at the top of the hill and it just keeps rolling and rolling and getting faster until eventually it will stop.. But I don't think the stop will be pretty....

Ok sorry to confuse any one who reads this, but I am in such a state of I don't know, I want to cry, I want to brake something, I want to get drunk, I want to .... I want to make it better.... But that is beyond my powers....  No one has that ability but the person who started it in the first place.. But it is to far gone now the damage is done...  

I want to wake up tomorrow and see that all is better, but it won't be..

WOW what is it with me....  MY kid won't sleep for me.... NOPE>>> WON"T DO IT..
When I am at the day care with him, he won't sleep.. On the day he is there alone he will... Problem yes because I am going to be there four days a week soon.. Have to nip this problem in the but...  Two he won't sleep during the day unless hubby is home for lunch and puts him to bed...

First few nights in the big boy bed have discovered that daddy needs to put him to sleep or else he won't...  Today was a nightmare...

AHHHH will work it out I am sure we will.. LOL just need to stop pulling my hair out about it and deal with it...

It was fantastic.. LOL but we fell asleep really early.. Can you believe that????  The only thing to complain about was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable... Be we managed ok....

We had a lovely walk around the village, really nice dinner. Discovered a new drink called Funky Rum...

The room was great we walked into the room and wondered where the bed was.. All we could see was the fire place a sofa and a table set up with wine glasses and plates, and the kitchen.. Then I saw the stairs.. So up the stairs I went and there was the bed...   It had two bathrooms.  And you know although I went into debt for it, it really was not that expensive.. :)  But had we of stayed for a week it may have...

Anyway then we came home only to find out that the kids were absolute angles who had lots of laughs..

I can't believe it.. My son woke up this morning in the best mood ever... Was it the new bed??? Maybe....
I hope he is going to be that easy from now on.. But I won't count all my chickens before they hatch.. Also in the morning I have discovered that if I have his change table near his window so he can look out while I am changing him it is sooooo much easier..

It is great.... Although he keeps pointing out how many people have pools and we don't.. LOL We have 6 other properties joined to our back yard, and they all have pool except one.. If you look at an at a photo taken from the sky you will see that our house is surrounded by pools... LOL   I hope he does not pester us for one because we will never have a pool....

But it is true.. My son for the first time in what seems like years, has fallen asleep before 9.30pm... I blogged before that I did not have the monitor on in the basement so hubby was keeping an ear out for Francis... Well I could not help myself and went up to check..

Sound asleep in his big boy bed, with his new Spiderman bed spread, his Superman PJ's and his Lightening Mc Queen car... :) The stickers on the wall were supposed to glow.. He was so excited to come home and see Spiderman all over his bed and walls... :) Still looking for a real bed though.. Man kids beds are expensive...
YUCK... I was just looking at this and had to edit... YUCK.. .LOOKS LIKE HE HAD SOME FUN WITH HIS MILK ON THE WALLS BEFORE FALLING ASLEEP... YUCK... LOOKS LIKE I"LL BE CLEANING AGAIN TOMORROW>>>

My baby monitor is dead... The dog chewed the cord.. Oh I could still plug it in as I am not exactly sure when the dog chewed the cord and why is he still alive... :) I had been using the monitor but moved my sons room around today and took out his cot....  I noticed the cord was broken so decided not to plug it in until I found the electrical tape... Alas no tape to be found...

So I am in the basement and I can't hear a thing.. Which really in a way is great because I can't hear him calling my name to get him out of his bed. He can do that himself now, he is currently on a futon sofa bed so close to the ground that if he falls out he won't hurt himself... He thought he was spiderman yesterday and climbed out but there was no change table to use as ladder so he hit the ground pretty hard.. He is all fine and dandy though...

It is weird not being able to listen to him... My hubby is taking care of that as he is still up stairs and I am sure will call me if there is any problems..  But he'll have to come and get me because well I can't hear them any more... :)

I decided to bite the bullet.. It is now or never anyway....  My mother in-law offered to take the kids over night.. YIPPPPEEE she is going to come here to stay over night so hubby and I can have a night away.. Originally husband was not to know about the kids staying with Grandma as they were going to stay at her place...

Then my MIL rang and asked if we would like her to look after the kids at the house as it would probably be easier for Francis to actually fall asleep and more comfortable for my step daughter as well..  Being that when we finished the basement we took the MIL's spare bed... 

So I had to talk to the hubby to see if he wanted to go away, or stay home.. He said we should go away.. And being that it was supposed to be a surprise and I don't really have the money just to pay for a weekend away.. I decided that I put ever penny I had onto my credit card and have now just blown it on a reservation for a night at where we are staying.. I am grateful that my credit card limit is on $500.00 and it has not been full in a long time and I don't suggest it will be for even longer now...  I also had to tell the hubby that if we go away he might have to help pay for his surprise.. LOL  Anyway he is excited that we are going away kid free, and being that we have not done it for awhile, I mean just for the sake of doing it, we decided to go all out and spoil ourselves.. Hence going into debt... Ok I am in debt but I told the hubby he will pay for every thing else.. LOL

Not sure if we are going to go by motor bike yet or not. If we go via motor bike we will be showing up with basically nothing but a spare pair of jocks and socks... As that is all we can take on the motor bike..

But I tell you I think this is what me and the hubby need.. A real night away with out the kids screaming for us, asking us for stuff...

Now I have three days to get the house up to mother in-law visitable status...   OH BOY...   

I have a back pack nappy bag for my son.. There is a little pocket on the side that fits my wallet keys and a few other things...   So I usually put them in there so i don't have to carry the nappy bag and my hand bag...

My advice is when going out to dinner take both nappy bag and hand bag... Because if your children can get into the nappy bag and you chose to use it as a handbag as well they will for sure pull out your tampons and give them to you while you are all sitting around talking and having a nice quite drink....

Good for a laugh though..  :)

My husband for our fifth wedding anniversary brought me a pair of beautiful diamond earrings.. Just hit the 7 year mark and last night while brushing my teeth I discover that one has gone missing..

Lots of tears, running around the house, sooooo upset.... I could not believe it.. I wish he would just buy me flowers, at least they die naturally.   I can't break, or lose those....

I am a clutz, I break things, I loose things.. Things usually turn up over time but I am afraid my earring won't... I think it may have been lost in a car park when I was putting Francis in the car, it is the only time I can think of... But hey there is always a chance that it will show up!!!!

If any one has any idea on where it could be please let me know I am desperate to find it...  Ok that is a tough one I know..

Oh well what can I do, it is just a material thing yes, but they meant so much to me because of what he said when he gave them to me...

Spit happens I guess.. Maybe if I stop looking it will turn up... Hmmmmmm

It's been a couple of days now I have had issues getting on to minti.. Have no idea what the issue was..  I am sure it had something to do with my end though...

One day it was gone the next it was back..

Oh well I am back now. Going to check out what I missed.
