My hubby is a gamer... He is playing some game on-line with the xbox 360...
And I just heard the funniest thing...
I am in the basement, and have a baby monitor so I can hear Francis if he needs me... But I can also hear my hubby talking to other players through his mike...
Now you might not find this funny, but I just heard my hubby say "IF you can't play nice, don't play at all..".
Coming from my husband that sounds really funny... He must be playing a bunch of french players and English players... I feels sorry for the English players if they can't understand the French, because they are complaining about the guy that won't play nice.... It's almost like on here when we have what seems like a school yard tiff...
Might have to have a word to hubby that if he has nothing nice to say he should not say it... :) |

Cartoons....
We all loved them as kids.....
But do you find that cartoons although a hell of a lot of fun when we (or our parents depending on your age) got all the really fun cartoons, yet they were so violent?????
I was watching pepe le pew, we all know the over sexed skunk that will chase a cat with a stripe down it's back because he can't tell the difference between cat and female skunk (I can tell you that a cat smells way better then a skunk... THOSE THINGS ARE REALLY REALLY BAD SMELLING.... As road kill or alive... Either way stay away...
I saw pepe le pew attempt to commit suicide because he thought the cat with a black stripe was going to commit suicide by jumping out the window... So he decided he loved her that much he would do the same... Oh they both survived so I guess that makes it ok..... Then in the next cartoon, said cat locks herself in a box... Pepe takes a gun and puts it to his head walks away and you hear BANG.... Said Cat all of a sudden gets an attack of the guilts and runs to see pepe... Pepe says " Oh I lucky for you I missed.." And starts chasing said cat again...
Then we have Elmer Fudd who is out there always shooting off Daffy Ducks beak or trying to get a good shot into Bugs Bunny.... Don't get me started on Road Runner and Wile E Coyote, and the amount of TNT that guy used to blow things up.. Usually himself.... And then there is Foghorn Leghorn and the Barnyard dog... They are always hitting each other over the head with something.... The list goes on.....
Yet it is such innocent stuff.... Well it was for me anyway...
A lot of the cartoons today are just really well different... I don't mind a bit of Sponge Bob Square Pants... God knows how they can light fire under water, but hey if Wile E Coyote can come back to life after blowing himself up anything is possible...
I have totally forgotten the point of this blog... It all started out with something to do with Censorship... LOL But I lost the point... Must be my five day headache... :)
Some of todays weirdest cartoons I have seen are listed as follows....
MY GYM PARTNER IS A MONKEY...
CHOP SOCKY CHOOKS
THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY..
I have only seen bits of these and those and a few others as my step daughter watches them, just weird ones is all I can say... Give me the old Warner Brothers any day..... :)

Came out with a small truck that makes a hell of a lot of noise....
Every time my son sees his cousin on their bikes he wishes he was with them... So when Grandma said "what will he like for his birthday?" I said there are some nice first time bikes at Walmart. So we planned the to go and buy him a bike, and took him along to help choose... Turns out he was not at all interested in the bikes.. We tried to get him to ride one but nope not on your nelly. So we went walking around and came upon these lovely toys. I had gone out to the car to get Francis's diaper bag (Which I am hoping he won't need soon), as I had forgotten to take it out with us to the store. So of course he starts smelling bad.. POOOOOOOO.. Anyway by the time I got back he had chosen his birthday present from Grandma.. The car that makes noise.. WOW it is loud... But hey he loves it... And she also brought a Icy pole maker...
The icy pole maker was a hit, until I took it away to put in the freezer.. He had no Idea that I had to freeze them first. He thought they'd be ready straight away.. Poor kid... Oh well he calmed down eventually. :)
As for the new bub on the way, as annoying as it was I also thought it was amusing... But yesterday every time the dog or Francis did not listen to me, and I had to raise my voice to my "Why won't you listen to me and do as you are told voice, I started to feel like i wanted to vomit.... My sinusitis may be going away although tomorrow is another story... Spoke to a pharmacist today and he said "Sorry but you can't take anything for it except a nasil spray.." BUt that does not take away the pain and swollen feeling at the bottom of my nasal passage.. So I guess I will just have to live with the pain. GRRRRRRR
Tomorrow we are getting a free tree... Yep a free tree.. The mayor of Terrebonne has decided to give out 6600 trees. All we have to do is arrive before the other 6600 people with proof of address and we get one... So heres hoping we arrive before there are none left... Because I'd really like a tree.. They are so expensive to buy at 4 ft and over...
Other then that nothing to report...
Am thinking about yummymummyof3 and her poor dog, Marg and her hubby for the absence of their beloved guest.... And Janice and Steve who are on their way home.... Hope you all are getting through it all..
:)

And not because of the baby.. I have a sore throat again. GRRRRR I am hoping that it won't get to bad this time, I am also hoping it does not turn into sinusitis, because that knocked me for a sixer, and I just don't want to do that again. I can't take whiskey which would normally help, so right now I am at a loss.. My mother said Listerean. But I don't have any. GRRRRR
Anyway that is all I have to report today..
No it is not...
Today I took Francis to a little place that I like to go. We brought some peanuts, and fed the ducks, seagulls, squirrels, Pidgins and these little black birds with a bit of red on them. And I think a couple of baby swans were there too... They were not geese, and they were not ducks, but they had colors on them like baby ducks, so I just thought maybe baby swans... Either way they were beautiful birds...
Francis loved every minute of it. One landed on his shoulder and he surprised it by getting all excited and it flew away. One duck munched on his finger and he told it off for hurting him. I think it was more of a shock then actual pain. And we found a Squirrel house inside a tree, that he was thrilled to look into. I made sure Squirrel was not home first. :) And even better then that, he recounted the story to my mother this afternoon. Even though she could not understand a word he said, she was so thrilled that he took the time to tell her about it, because he is usually shy to talk on the phone, and runs the other way... On a good day he will talk to Nana, and today was a good day. She was thrilled.
Anyway that is my news...
And thanks to every one for the congratulations on being pregnant.. :) |
|

|
I can't believe this.. Hubby could not keep a secret.. In his defense, he was on the phone to his step mum and they had nothing but bad news for each other, so he decided to slip some happy news... GRRRRRR So you tell the step mum, so of course she is going to tell dad, you tell dad, and of course dad is going to tell daughter, you tell daughter and she is going to tell mum because she would have thought you would have done it already....
I fell down the stairs today.. It really hurt.... I had the dog on the leash as he was being a pain in the bum, and between him and Francis I could not handle it any more so I decided to separate them. In doing this, me and the dog on leash started to walk down the stairs.. Dog did not want to come so I give a little tug.. Dog comes first in front of me then decides to double back and tangle me in the leash... STUPID STUPID STUPID.. But I have done it so many times before why should this time be any different... Well it was... Down I went.. Hurt my leg.. Oh boy have I hurt my leg.... And my toes are just well painful, if I walk on it a certain way it is like well walking on glass.. But they are not broken and I can still walk... I some how still landed on my butt.... As it is I have not hurt myself for awhile so I guess I was due for it...
Oh yeah back to the men and their mouths.... :) So you tell his family, you have to tell mine... I have a bun in the oven... :) Yep pregnant.. So excited... We were going to keep quite until I had the first doc appointment which hubby thought was today.. I did have doc appointment but at the vet to get the dog stitches out... So when all that bad news he and his step mum were talking about got a bit much he spilled the beans.. Rang me up and asked how the appointment was.. I said dog was fine. He said what about you. And I went nope not until July... He said OPPPSSSS SORRY.... So we called around and told all....
So yep that is my story...
And before anyone tells me that I need to be careful of those stairs because I am pregnant, thank you but I had that lecture twice already today.. Once from hubby and the other from yummymummyof3.. And I am sure Marg and Janice will have something to say about it too... :)
Feeling kind of weired.. Have had a three day headache and the occasional thought about vomit, but that lasts seconds and is few and far between.. I am still very early in the pregnancy and probably should not be talking about it, but have a good feeling because my mum has been having baby dreams like crazy.. Now that I told her I am pregnant she'll be able to sleep soundly again.... :)
Night all xxxxx |

Oh my doggy is a lovely thing, loves to see me in the morning... He has woken me at 5am every morning since I got back from my weekend away.... Before that it was 6am. I just don't get it.. Anyway normally I'll get up and fall asleep on the couch.
This morning how ever I got up showered and we went for a walk...
WHy????
Because I went to bed at 9,30pm.
It was great... Although I don't know if I can keep that up every day.. But I should..
I need to get myself a healthy routine... I say that all the time I do it for a few days and then it fizzles...
Oh well up at 5am today, no sleep on the couch this morning, I might just be able to do it...
:) wish me luck.. |

I can't believe how time has flown... My son will be three years old on Saturday.
I discovered over the last few days just how loud he is, oh you should hear him when he is excited. I think he gets that from his mum. Has to being that I spent the best part of the past weekend talking the ears of Marg, Janice and their husbands.
Still have no idea what to get him.. No that is wrong I know what I want to get him, but the question is which gift do we get him.. AHHHHH I just don't know. I want a sandpit, I want a bike, I want one of those little plastic houses you stick out in the back yard, I want a slide to attach to the swings... But of course he can only have one of them. I just don't know. Here I am with all the I wants. I wonder what he wants... I know he'd love all of these no matter which one because when ever he sees them he has so much fun with them all except the bike as he does not have access to one.
Anyway we have until Friday to finally figure out what it is to get him.
He was at the day care on Friday and when I showed up they were telling me a rather funny story... Ben a child at the day care that my son gets along with very very well and are often found laughing and playing together was putting matchbox cars in the pockets of his jacket. His jacket had zippers so he was unzipping and putting the cars in.. Francis was looking for a zipper on himself and found one.. It was his fly. So he was undoing his fly and stuffing the cars down his pants... LOL I wish I was there to see because the ladies were laughing really hard when they told me the story.
Thats all the news I have today.

I can't believe I forgot to mention the big pot of beef soup marg made... It was awesome, and even though she put mushrooms in it, it was awesome... :) I had two bowls...
The weird thing about the soup is, on the drive over to their place I was thinking I actually felt like having soup. And when I got there she was in the middle of making it...
I think she has a sick sense... Oh sorry sixth sense... :) |

awful awfully good time.
I don't know what to tell you about them.. First of all I arrived at Marg's place, And I was attacked as she ran at me to give me a big hug.. Her hubby refused to give me a hug hello something about grease on his hands.... Then as I was thinking it was time to go and pick up Janice and Steve they rang to us their train would not be getting in until 11.30pm.... Then they rang again just as I was about to leave to tell me it would not get in until about 1.30am.... Really how inconvenient were they... Then they made me stay up until five am to talk to them when they arrived.. I could not believe it. oh yeah and of course Janice and Steve attacked us all with hugs too.. I mean these guys all of them were just full of it (hugs that is), hugs and tears all round really... When I finally did get to bed, marg made me sleep in a bed that was so dam comfortable I actually slept in until 10.30am... And would you believe it Janice and Steve actually had the nerve to bring me four Jars of Vegimite, some Freddo frogs and Caramello koala's.. I mean the nerve of them. MY favorites... On the second day there we had dinner at around not sure but I think dinner came out of the oven at about 10.30pm because the two women just talked and talked.. I could not get a word in edge wise really it was just amazing... Oh did I mention the bloody chair? You need a permit to ride that thing... You sit on it, and you pull a cord and it flings you to the other side of the room. If you are lucky enough to stay on it, it is soooooo comfortable, getting off it well that was just as amusing as trying to stay on it when you pull the cord to get the leg rest out.. Oh they had a good laugh at me there too...
Don't get me started on their husbands...... When I rang to tell them I was home, Steve actually asked me if I looked after his car. Hr..e is planing on trading my car for his tracto. And well Marg's hubby he just kept teasing me about being on the French side of the boarder and he just put in an order for apple pie and smoked meat on my return trip... So I think that means I am allowed to go back. Oh and marg's hubby cooks to it is true.. Yep
We had bacon and eggs for breakfast every morning, I think they were trying to make me fatter, and because I was given Vegimite I was forced to eat it so I did not seem to rude. And after our late dinner Marg made me drink a glass of drink rum, and even forced Janice to drink one too... I think they allowed me to go to bed at about 2.30am that night.
To sum up the whole weekend, I just love the four of them. They are welcome in my house anytime.... And I will be returning... And the bit about not getting a word in edge wise.. Have to admit that I did a lot of the talking if not most... They are as caring as you all believe them to be, and their husbands are not much different.. Although Marg's gave me a bit of a hard time, I may be scared for life, but I believe there are people I can see to help me with that. I must say I am really looking forward to meeting their kids too... And I really did not mind at all picking them up as late as I did. I had a blast and would not have done the trip any different other then to try and help their train get in earlier so they could get off it as they had been on it such a long time....
Marg even went out of her way to order a boomerang for Francis from Australia, and a lovely plate for me with a beautiful little drawing of eucalyptus and gum nuts on it... How sweet was that... Janice and steve well the vegimite is more then a pleasure (Marg even said it was NOT BAD). And the chocolates I am sure will be leaving tomorrow due to people eating them. And my little koala every time i text someone on my phone from Jancie is just lovely. These guys really are down to earth people and I love em...
Also I'd like to just say.. NA na na na na... :) I met them and I have no photos so you'll just have to wait. My batteries ran out just as I was about to click one off...
And to you all sitting around at Maarrrggggg's place.. I really really enjoyed myself, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you all. And I am so glad I got the chance too..
Now I think it is time for bed....
PS: Francis came good after I took him for a drive around in the car with the windows down a tad.. He refused to take his pump so I made him stay outside for a bit, he came good.. So there was no need to go to the hospital..
Thank you for a most enjoyable weekend.... And I will be back with apple pie and smoked meat......
And when I get to Kempsy i will be going up your way Janice just you try and stop me....

Two of these photos were taken the night my mother in-law got her award... I love this one of me and hubby because it is the only one that has ever been taken with our heads together where you can't see the flab of my arms... :) The other is of me and my mother in-law. And the last is Francis just before he had his tonsils out... Poor little fellow.. But I do think Yellow suits him...

And I meet Janice and Marg...
I actually got to speak to Marg tonight which was fantastic... I thought it was her daughter at first, she sounded younger them me... :)
Anyway I still have to pack, check the oil and what knots before I leave... But most of it is done. Fridge is full, clothes are all nice and clean so they won't have to look for anything...
They just have to keep an eye on the poor dog who had the family channel canceled today. So he is feeling a little sorry for himself.. Poor guy has to stay inside for 10 days and is only allowed out to do his business... But I am sure 10 days will past by real fast..
Anyway just thought I'd pop in to say.....
ONE MORE SLEEP. |

Well last night I had a blast. I went out to dinner with my FIL.. Just me and he. We were talking together on Saturday night an early mothers day celebration. And some one said something (can't remember) and I said well Diane (hubby's step mum) and Hubby always go to dinner alone so why don't we. He said "great what are you doing on Tuesday night." Hubby was working so I asked my sister in-law to baby sit for me, and Hubby picked him when he got home from work.
I missed my chance to go to my most favorite of restaurants, and we chose Thai as both Diane and my hubby don't like Thai. The food was amazing. Also I found out heaps of stuff about my In-laws that I had no idea about before and I have been married to my husband for 8 years in August. Interesting stuff too. Just stuff that they have had their hands in over the years.
My mother in-law was actually given an award last Saturday for work she had done over the past 10 years getting part of the island of Montreal developed and getting some money in their direction. Which is something I had no Idea she did until we were invited to watch her get the award. The stuff my in-laws have done is just amazing to me anyway. They just have not seemed to stop over the years. I wonder how they fit it all in. Anyway, it was a wonderful night with my FIL to hear how proud he is of my husband and how happy he is for us.
Then after I got to go back to his place and sit with my MIL and have a wonderful chat with them both. They are wonderful people and it is hard to get some one on one time with them. So I stayed a bit longer then I should have but it was a lot of fun..
Anyway that is all I have to report other then two more sleeps and I get to meet Janice and Marg.. YIPPPEEEEEE |

Saturday night we went to my hubby's step mums to celebrate.. That was interesting. Had a wonderful time but we had some family issues being dealt with as well.. So it was while fun it was sad too... On the bright side of things, my son was totally looked after by the hubby and his little cousins so I did not have to chasing him around the house. I got to sit and relax which was just fantastic... And I thought great.. He had been running around with the kids, and did not fall asleep until about five minutes before we arrived home which was just before midnight. So yippee me thinks he will sleep in later then usual. And he did.. He slept until 8am. But the dog forgot that it was mothers day and woke me up at 6am...
Hubby woke up at 11am, and went for a motor bike ride.. I said he could. I went shopping for lamb for dinner and could not find any... I wanted a leg of lamb as Pat was going to cook it. But as I could not find any I ended up having to cook dinner.. Long story but hubby only cooks by recipe and he had no back up plan... So I figure well maybe he'll do the dishes.. Nope... So they sat there until the dog woke me up at 6am...
I don't know what happened but I cleaned the kitchen, took the dog for a walk.. And when I say clean the kitchen I mean spotless. It was so clean and smelled of pinesol when the hubby woke up this morning he wondered where he was. :)
Happy to say it lasted like that all day.. :) won't have to clean much in the morning.. I wonder if I'll get the chance to walk the dog again.. Depends on Francis.. For some reason he did not wake up until 7.30am this morning.. Hmmmm heres a hoping... :) |

Have a fabulous STRESS FREE day!!!! There is a new study about women and how they feel about their arses. The results were pretty interesting:
30% of women think their arse is too fat............
10% of women think their arse is too skinny......
The remaining 60% say they don't care, they love him, he's a good man, and they wouldn't trade him for the world.

As said above happy mothers day to all you mothers out there. And thank you to all that have sent me Mothers Day wishes via Minti Mail. Sorry I have not gotten around to answering them but I have been lazy.. Even more so today when I really should be getting on the move as I have stuff to do today.
I have a gala to go to tonight and I need to have a shower before the hair dresser gets here. Oh that sounds so posh. But the only reason she is coming here is because she is so cheap. :) Other wise I'd have to do it myself. And well that would just be a disaster. If there are two things I really have trouble doing it is my hair and my makeup. I just can't. I can't for some reason get the hair either straight enough, or to curl where I want it to curl. Or blend the right colors of eyeshadow and lipstick well forget it I can never find the right color for me and I just end up looking like a clown unless some one else does it for me. Anyway I have to look sharp tonight as it is a black tie night and the last thing I want to do is embarrass my MIL... Mind you she could always say "she is a country girl from Australia." That always works for me.
This time next week I will be on my way to pick up Janice and Steve from the train station and on our way to meet Marg. Which by the way I am really excited about doing. I do hope that the weather keeps up as Janice and Steve are seeing snow at the moment. Which is really hard to imagine for me as while we are in the same country I have sun, and am wearing t-shirts. I had a good chat with them last night, I believe they were at an internet cafe. Janice and Steve are very excited and loving it. But not so sure about the snow. Steve was complaining a little about the cold, and I reminded him that he has climbed Everest. He actually said that Everest was warmer. I guess so because he told me they were wearing ski suits yesterday, and I remember a photo I saw of him on Everest and he was not wearing a ski suit then. Speaking to them last night just made me even more excited about it, and hopefully I'll get the chance to talk to Marg soon. I tried but got the machine. :) Will try again tomorrow.
The only thing I am not looking forward to is the gas prices. They are amazing here.. Near on 1,30$ if not more. And my car does not take regular gas. I was having a chat with the hubby last night on which car we will take tonight and we decided on mine. While it takes the more expensive gas it has a smaller tank and as I don't drive mine as often as he drives his it would be cheaper to take mine. His car takes over $100 dollars each time to fill it up. It is horrible. Honestly if it was warm all year round, I'd get a motor bike with a side car. It would be so much cheaper to carry the family around in that. They really are making their money those gas getting people. I have no idea why the prices are up. I assume it is the same all around the world.
So to all those mothers out there this year I asked for a tank of gas for mothers day. I'll probably get flowers... :) They are nice to, but they don't really get you anywhere.. :) May you all get what your heart desires and your children are all angels...
Happy Mothers day.. xxxxx |

I just wanted to say for no particular reason other then something else to blog about...
One of the ladies I work with has twin daughters. They turn 30 on the 23rd of may... Their mother (my work friend) turns 50 also on the the 23rd of May... They are very close..
But this is what I think is the best part... Both girls gave birth this week to boys...... They are identical twins, which I am told made it a little confusing at the hospital as one gave birth on Monday and the other on Friday... So the nurses were all confused to see the same girl there on the Friday as well... Very amusing if you ask me... :) |

Finally I am feeling better.. Not 100% but much better....
Today my dog had me up at 6am, for some reason this has been his wake up call every morning now for the past few days. Not pleasant let me tell you.. Most of all the hubby sleeps through it... Anyway in turn he wakes up Francis who instantly demands breakfast...
This morning Francis was ready to leave for day care at 7.45am, actually earlier.. But he is not due there until 9am.. I myself was not going in today, so decided he was ready (he even went and got his shoes an his jacket and was yelling COME ON MUM..... So I decided why not we took the extremely long way with a stop off at the park for a bit of play... Day care is less then five minutes walk. We were out for an hour before we got to the day care, and the kids were thrilled to see my puppy as was he to see the kids... Way to excited... He starts training tomorrow...
The walk was nice, thankfully not that many cars around as Francis was full of energy as was the dog and they wanted to run every where. Of course I had to hold them both back... I was totally exhausted by the end of it due to me being sick all week I had no energy for it, but I did it anyway... When Murray and I finally got home I got a second wind and vacuumed and mopped the floors, then I just died... Totally over did it.. But feeling much better now which is a good thing and with any luck I'll get a full night sleep tonight as I am still waking and coughing....
Anyways better go deal with Francis as he is still awake and it is just past 9.30pm and he is yelling at his dad for water in a not very nice way... So before dad gets really unhappy with him I better go deal with it...
Night for now... xxxx
