trying to get back into the swing of things has not been easy after the kids being home for two weeks.   It feels like I am going to have to reprogram their night time routine into them.  :).  And their morning one. 

I am happy to report that my dogs horrible Bad teeth breath is game and has been replaced by normal dog breath. that I can handle.  And he only had to have 10 teeth out. Today he had a check up and he can start back on hard food again. Not sure he will like that but he will have to because I need to keep those teeth nice and clean. :). 

The kids are fine, tired of their toys already. Except Judiane and the doll house.  She keeps asking Papa to play so they are no longer dolls but they are Avtion figures.  :)

camille has fobbed us off her weekend for us on her birthday which is sad. We wanted to plan something with her and asked if she wanted friends over and all we got was "I don't know!". Her mum rang us today to tel us she won't be coming and we will have to pick her up on Saturday.  That's on the 20th. Sad but sometimes I feel as if we are an obligation to her. More so sad for her dad. Sometimes we don't even feel as if we are even a part of her life any more, just someone with Internet access.   

my dad is doing alright completely positive. He has been occupying my mind a fair bit.  He has to go in for an operation on the 17th to have the rest of his thyroid removed, them sometime in Feb he will go into isolation for radiation theropy.  but he is still doing OK, we all have our WTF moments. But I figure that is only natural.

Anyway other then that I have nothing to report.  :)

Well it was an intersting start to Christmas that is for sure... But turned out alright in the end.. Well as alright as it can be for now... But before I go into it every one is postive....

On the 23rd of December we found out that the lump taken from my dads thyirod was Cancerous... On the bright side it is Thyirod Cancer and one of the best to get if you are so inclined... But still gave every one a big scare, and in some ways still does because cancer can swing anyway as I am sure most of you will know and have probably come into contact with or have had some form of cancer yourself.

I had people reassure me that the doctors of today are so much better then before and their technology is excellent.. But nothing reassured me as much as actually talking to my dad did..  Oh sure we both know the word cancer strikes fear into every one but every one deals with it in their own way.... In our way we joked. Mum can still live in the house if Billie wants it she pays me rent....  I know flat joke but it worked for us. 

As I said talking to dad made things as good as they can get for the moment.  he said "Jess you know me, I don't worry about the things I can't control, and I can't control this!"   And its true, why put more stress on himself worrying about something that he can't control... He has to wait another 5 weeks before he can go in for his second op to have the thyirod gland completely removed as it had spread to the other side.  And may have to do some radiation whatsits. But with any luck that will all be done and dusted and if he keeps getting regular check ups he should be ok...  No point worrying about things we can't control....

But in saying that, I still have to worry about my kids who seem to be way out of my control at the moment. Grandma is giving us some relief tomorrow by taking little Juju for the night so that Hubby and I can give the little man some much needed attention. Poor kid, juju has been sick (better now) so he has totally missed out on mummy time...  So we will take him out for the day....

In the end Christmas was great, new years was quiet but good.. Putchy had his teeth done and his breath smells much better and he did not even have to have all of his teeth out...

 Two dentist apointments in two days. One for each of the kids.    

Judiane was an absolute gem, Francis was traumatized.    Judiane has 6 cavities (I knew it) and totally made me out to be a liar.    I told the dentist she won't let me brush her teeth ever, and she has bruised me on occasions.  She gets in that chair like a champ and the dentist told her to let me brush her teeth and she did.   But that night was a different story.  LOL.  I told her I'd take away the new tooth brush if she did not let me so she changed her mind and I was able too.   :).   

Francis had a tooth pulled today and did not like that at all.  But I am sure by the time he gets home from school he will be fine.   :)    

I just need now one more present for Camille, don't really but I find that her presents although she asked for them are well piddly.    One box under the tree yet it costs as much as the little ones because of postage also a iTunes gift card.   But honestly what do you get a teenager who is into the things she is into and well the attitude on life stinks at the moment so I feel anything she gets will not be exactly welcome.   Ahhhh but I still want to get her at least one more thing.   

Anyway off to do stuff.

 Wow what a conversation this weekend.  I think my favorite part was "I am almost 16 an adult!".  So does anyone else know when they changed the age from 18 to 16?    I say start paying for your own phone, get out get an apartment, a job, then let me know if you feel the same way.

Now I am not saying that some teenagers out there don't have the maturity, some do, and some have more then some adults I have met.  but this one.....  Nope she is not ready yet.   

you see our almost 16 year old adult has a 19 year old girlfriend. While she is nice enough it is really playing havoc with everything we know and love. the emotions that seem from our almost adult is driving me nuts to say the least and her poor father is pulling out his hair.  last night the lip piercing subject came up again.  She was at her girlfriends place when she rang and tried to pull the please daddy I really want it it will make me feel better about myself.  girl we love you but you need to speak to a phycologist.   We have thought this for a very long time now as other things have happened and some of you may remember what that was. yet it seems we no longer have the power to truely help.   She also said " what if I just went at got it, when I am 16 you won't have to give me permission!".  Hubby says you think I was pissed the last time we had this conversation how pissed do you think I will be when you come home with it after I have said no.".  

here is my theory.......  She is going to do it.  the girlfriend is there backing her up all the way me thinks.  And really what can the hubby do?   I told hubby to have a plan for if this should happen because looking at her walking away then coming back to give her the punishment won't work.  I say at least take the phone and tell her "Well your an adult now you can start paying for your own phone!"    

What bugs me more is the girlfriend is giving Camille strength to go up against her dad when the girlfriend can't even stand up against her own at 19 to say my girlfriend is almost 16 and you have to deal with that!  Instead my girl feels useless because the girlfriend won't stand up for her yet gets pissed off because in the middle of a conversation we call Camille for dinner and the girlfriend has to realize that our almost adult still has rules....   

I hope this passes really fast because it is doing my head in and my husbands. I have to deal with the hubby too which is not easy poor Papa...   I need this faze to pass before my almost 3 year old teenager and the 6 year old teenager start their I am almost an adult.    :)
