Hi there, I am Australian, my husband and step daughter are French Canadian, and my son is French Canadian/Australian.
I came to Canada just to visit for a few months and have now been here 8 years. It's a bit cold in the winter time but I love it. Sure I miss Australia. But nothing can compare to what I have here which is my husband and two kids. Okay so Camille (my 11 year old step daughter) is not really mine but she treats me with the same respect as she would either of her parents and we have become great friends. My son Francis (named after his great grandfather) 2 years old and is growing to fast for my liking but I can't slow him down :)
My Husband is a General contractor, I am currently a stay at home mum, well I say stay at home, I work two days a week at my sons day care, and on occasions I often get called in for a few extra days here and there. I don't call it work because I am with kids all day and it allows me to stay at home and spend time with my son. He is at day care three days a week, but on Fridays he is there alone. And of course any day I get called in to work, I take him with me and the boss won't complain. Camille (Said Cammy) is starting Grade 6 this year and Francis, well he is just running all over the place pulling stuff from shelves making a mess, and appears to be loving life, so we must be doing something right.
We have a dog called Murry, ok it is supposed to be Murray, but some people here have trouble with the ray on the end.. And I hear most people calling him maurie.. Oh well he is named after the Mighty Murray River... Mums Idea... He is a cute litle Beagle...
AND BABY NUMBER 2 IS ON IT'S WAY... YIPPPEEEEEE
