Anniversaries suck

Comment Published at 07:1407:142 comments2 comments37 Visits37 VisitsReport

Some anniversaries suck especially the ones that deal with the death of a loved one.  Five years ago I lost both my wonderful Grandmother and my Father in the same year only 4 months appart and this week was my dads birthday and the anniversary of my grandmothers death.  I hate this week every year as it brings back a flood of memories that make me happy and sad at the same time.   Happy because they are such wonderful memories and sad because they are no longer here to share them with me.  I hate being an emotional wreck because I have no control over my feelings and everyone in my house suffers for it.

Anyway this is life and we have to push on and try not to take it out on the ones that we love but it's hard when you get depressed about it ..... you get into a funk and just don't seem to be able to get out of it.  I think my hubby understands but my kids don't and it's so not fair on them when mummy gets grumpy and they don't understd what death really is so therefore they don't understand why mummy is so sad.

To my wonderful Gran and Dad   love you xxxxxxx

Re: Anniversaries suck
hunni........................ big hugs just for you. It certainly has been a while and I just read your blog and yep, tears ! For what it's worth I'm with you in spirit. No one can control their feelings in situations like these, it's sometimes better if we don't. Do what you need to do to get through. Cry, scream, laugh, yell, do it all or do someone and remember that they are watching over you and those beautiful kids of yours. You know where I am if you need me darlin',

 to you and yours,

fi xoxo
