Personal Life: Born in Jakarta, Indonesia. I am the oldest of 4. My baby sister was born 18 years after me so I cultivated my motherly instincts early! By the age of 8, I was transplanted into Singapore for my education. I lived there for a decade and then headed to Australia with my family. I met and married my husband Patrick, in Perth.
Professional Life: I started my working life as a lawyer but decided to join my husband in his IT business about 10 years ago. I have never looked back. I dabble in some personal investments now and then to sharpen my business instincts. Tried my hand at scrapbooking and card making but never quite got it... I will try to get the artistic side of my brain functioning soon...
Family Life: I am married and I have 2 gorgeous children. Sam was born in 1999 and Eloise in 2002. Am I planning one more? I am still thinking...
Community Life: In Perth, I used to manage a local Montessorri Playgroup. I learnt something about the Montessorri way and about the fun and support that one can have from attending mothers' groups.
I am also an avid supporter of children's organisations such as World Vision and Unicef. In Thailand, my husband and I support the Kloeng Toey Duang Prateep Slum Childcare centre. The carers there have done a tremendous job of keeping 'lost' children together in the centre. We try to visit when we can to see our "kids".
Minti Life: I am also a Director at Minti. I believe that it is a wonderful project that allows mums to share advice; create a community of caring individuals and allow us to unleash our creative writing skills! |
