Hello fellow mintiers!
I am Josie, 28 years old, hard working single mother with 3 children. I am a paediatric nurse and I love my job. I was married for 7 years, together for 11 and recently separated from my childrens father. He made some bad choices which allowed me to make the hardest and best decision of my life. I am now in the process of healing and finding myself again, after giving up what makes me me to look after him. Just to remind myself of what I enjoy spending my time on.................minti, playing the piano, dancing, singing (not any good at either), music, learning, reading, relaxing, yoga, netball, craft, scrapbooking and exploring my spiritual side. I have an active busy life, but I need it, because I get bored easily. There's always the next challenge to sink my teeth into.
My kids didn't come easily. I have experience with infertility and know how devastating it is to desparately want a child and be disappointed month after month. I was blessed with my twins , Charlotte and Lachlan (4 years old), after 2 1/2 years and several months on clomid. I had an early miscarriage when trying for no.3. Then soon after I got pregnant with Imogen (13 months). Imogen may have been a triplet (I had extra lobes on my placenta which indicated I was pregnant with more than her at some stage). Twins then triplets......there would have been good reason why that didn't happen. I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason.....the good and the bad. You can't open one door without closing another first (or something like that). I have to have this belief to do my job.
I think I am a confident mum. I have had a lot experience with children and babies in all sorts of scenarios and I think this has helped me decide how to parent my own children. I love writing advice. It stimulates my brain and reminds me to do both my jobs (mum and nurse) well.
See you around.
