| The boys and I in August 06 (the twins are only 6 months old) |
I am a 40 year old Mum of three boys, married to a great man, Dan. The boys are 5 year old Jake and 16 month old twins, Ned and Tom. Jake is a gorgeous, confident redhead (well, sort of strawberry blonde) and started school this year which he LOVES! The twins are lots of fun but also quite exhausting! Ned looks exactly like my husband and Tom looks more like me although they have had a bit of a personality swap in terms of parents! Tom is very easy going and happy, is developing at a normal pace and is very cuddly. Ned is the opposite, an easrly developer for everything (crawling, teeth, walking, running and now climbing!). Dan is fantastic and stays home 3 days a week to look after the twins so I can work and really logves the time with the boys. I drop Jake off to school each weekday and pick him up on Moindays and Tueasdays and Dan picks him up (with the twins) the rest of the week. The twins are in childcare on Mondays.
I have a small PR business based in Melbourne and have a partner who is also a Mum, Simone. we are pretty lucky as owning our own business gives us the flexibilty we wanted to be able to be there for the kids before and after school and/or if they are sick or are on school hols (to an extent). We both work 4 days a week. our passion is parenting and pregnancy/maternity products - often owned by Mums like us that have come up with a great idea so we have lots of fun with our clients' products!
I have been told a few times about this website but went to a seminar yesterday all about blogs and podcasts ...

I only joined Minti last friday and then got confused about how to hcat to other people but having found 9 new friends online this morning I think this is where I am supposed to chat - and then my friends reply...is that right?!
Today is freezing here in Melbourne (as well as some mad man shooting people in the city) so it's definitely a day to be inside! I have just done the mad Monday routine. Dan (my hubby) goes off to work on Mondays and Tuesdays and I get left with the kids - getting the twins up, changed and fed, getting Jake dressed for school and brekky, then I squeeze in a shower and make some brekky to take to work for myself (I can't resist a marmalande sandwich!). Once we are all ready, Jake and I take the twins to childcare (which they now love and RUN to the door!) and then Jake goes to school before i head for work. the whole thing is reversed at 3.30pm and I pick up Jake, then the twinsa nd make dinner and bath them before Dan gets home. Of cousrse, I am the one who is late Wed-Fri so it IS fair!!!
how does everyone else juggle things?!! |
