I picked it up this afternoon and it feels so good to  drive around in a nice car and not a pile of junk.  Still getting used to the clutch as I haven't driven a manual car for a while but I am getting there.  I am going to Caloundra tomorrow (about 2 hours drive) so I should be used to it by the time I get there.

I am away for the whole weekend at a womens conference so it should be really good.  We get to relax in the afternoons so I am really looking forward to that. No kids - yay!

Yay.   I should pick up my new (well 2nd hand) car tomorrow or Thursday.  It is excellent because my van is falling apart!.  I am getting a 2005 Kia Carnival.   With 4 kids you need a big car and this has 7 seats.  It was a pretty good bargain too.  It's a manual (which we haven't had for ages) but that is ok cause KJ will be learning to drive next year so it will be good for her.

For those of you who know the ongoing saga of my kitchen - no I still do not have my oven or stove.  One day.....

I apologise for not replying to everyone in my lounge as I normally would but I have not had that much minti time.  With netball, church, school (P & C), swimming lessons, gymnastics and whenever I can fit in the gym, I just don't have enough hours in the day! Scott is getting annoyed because I don't have enough time for much housework either!  I try but there is only so much one person can do.

Hopefully it will calm down a bit soon (or maybe that is wishful thinking!)

DJ has another new teacher which is a bit annoying but she seems really good so we will see how that goes.  KJ is a typical teenager and is being a bit stressful but we are all coping with that.  KM is lovely at the moment and doing pretty well at school and netball.  ED is still throwing tantrums way too regularly and wants me to pick him up all the time which is a bit annoying but again we are coping and I am not giving in to him at all so maybe he will stop soon!  Hopefully (although it has been months already !!!!)

I can't believe it has been nearly a month since my last blog.  I have just got to the end of my watchlist. So much has happened so I will just give you a brief overview.

Last month I went to my very first P & C meeting (AGM) at the primary school and walked out the President.  Not really sure how that happens .  I must have "sucker" written on my forehead! lol  Actually I really don't mind because I am looking forward to having something to make my brain work.  I kind of miss that because I haven't worked for nearly four years and my brain is turning to mush!! lol Tonight was the next meeting which went pretty well.

I have been training for about 5 months now for a netball team (used to be called state league but is now called "Cadbury Schweppes Challenge) and our first game is on Thursday night - so I am really looking forward to that.

ED (3 yo) is still throwing tantrums all of the time which is getting quite stressful but I am coping ok.  The funny thing is that DJ who is 9 and who normally is my behaviourally challenged child, is being really really good.  So they have had a role reversal.

KM who just turned 11 is soon going on a trip to Canberra and so we are trying to find lots of warm clothes for her.

KJ (15) has started working at Maccas and loves it.  She is Miss attitude at the moment but I am ok with that for the moment.

Scott has just sold his truck and we are awaiting delivery of the new one this week.  He has tomorrow off so we may be able to get some stuff done - maybe.  For those of you who remember the ongoing saga - I still do not have a stove or oven.  Maybe soon? I probably won't remember how to cook in one by the time I get it!!

I promised Janice (days ago) that I would blog about how I am doing lately so here we go. 

A bit of background:  I was feeling pretty crappy all the time - basically.  Tired, nausea, grumpy - lots, couldn't eat and putting on weight - go figure!! etc etc. (and no I am not pregnant!)

I went to the doctor who sent me for blood tests and an ultrasound on my throat and liver.  He also gave me medication for thyroid problems cause that was where all the symptoms lead and my mum and sister have thyroid problems.  The medication takes many weeks to work though.  The tests all came back with no real problems apart from a lack of folic acid and nothing else.  However I think now that the medication must have kicked in because I feel great (physically anyway).  I am eating more and have lost a few kilos.  On Tuesday I played 2 games on netball and still had energy to burn.

Hopefully I am on a turn for the better!  My emotional state is still yet to be determined but hopefully that will get better soon too.
