Another talk with the teacher

Oh dear.  What a week I have been having.  DJ has been naughty at school again and we have just caught up on six weeks worth of homework.  It has been so difficult to get him to do any homework or reading that I guess I gave up for a while.  Big mistake!  He is in grade 3 and still has trouble with some of his grade 1 words.

So different to the girls.  My eldest skipped grade 1 because she was so smart!  How can children with the exact same parents be so different!

Anyway finally we finished his homework and did this weeks reading (what an effort that was).  I feel so drained from just trying to keep him still enough to read!

Anyway tomorrow is another day and a better day at that!!

God is still a good God!

Oh my - the joy of having kids.  Right now I'm trying to get them to clean the mess they made in the kitchen.  I am sitting at the computer outside the kitchen, listening to them yell and scream about cleaning but not actually cleaning.  Looks like we will be here all night!  Lucky its not a school night!

Oh well - apart from that all is fine.  Zekie is asleep, on my bed, but asleep.  Scott is out, again - working - well at a meeting.  I am here trying to keep sane.

Daniels teacher called me in for a meeting this afternoon.  He is really struggling at school.  Bad habits have set in and we are doing all we can to break them.  We will keep persisting and between the two of us we should prevail!!

Kahlia sang in front of al the other year 5's today.  They have a special parade at the end of the week where the kids get to do a performance (of sorts).  Kahlia was absolutely beautiful.  She is very talented!

Kate is lovely (sometimes) when she is not using her teenage attitude.

Zekie - although being somewhat demanding - is so beautiful and is a joy to have.

As much as I complain, I really wouldn't want anything too different as I love them all so much.  They really light up my life and are all so very talented.

God is a good God and all will be well!
