Amy is sick again!!!!

by JuzzyComment Published at 04:4604:460 comments0 comments10 Visits10 VisitsReport

The saga continues with Amy. The poor thing has Bronchiolitis now which is making her breathing very difficult. I took her to the doctors today because she hasn't been very well all week when i saw the doctor she listened to Amy's chest for about a minute and went and put her on a pump (the same one they use for asthma).

The poor thing now has to have ventoiln for the next week or so and then we see how she is going. The doctor isn't sure if she will develop asthma but they wont call it asthma until she is older. So now we have to keep a very close eye on her for at least the next 24 hours just while she is getting used to the ventolin and it starts to do it's job. She has been coughing a lot tonight but it doesn't sound as scary now.

It is really hard to see her this sick. She is only 7 months old (nearly 8 months). Hopefully she will sleep tonight, she hasn't been sleeping very well the last few nights and she only had about 20 minutes this morning.

On a happier note, Joshua's toilet training is going very well. He has been telling me when he wants to use the toilet and he is actually doing a wee when he goes. So fingers crossed it doesn't take to long for him to get the hang of it. After all we need to save all the money we can to pay for all Amy's medication if she continues to get sick.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Update on the toilet training

by JuzzyComment Published at 18:5718:576 comments6 comments18 Visits18 VisitsReport

Josh did a wee on the toilet yesterday!!!!!! I was keeping an eye on him during the day, just offering the toilet and he went off to his room to play at one stage and i knew he was going in there to fill his nappy because he was happily playing in the lounge and he suddenly left and that is what he usually does (sorry too much info). So i went in there and asked him if he would like to use the toilet and he said no so i didn't push it and just told him to come and tell mummy when he had finished. So he came in and asked if he could go to the toilet when he was done, i put him on and he did a wee. I was so happy and we did a little dance (i know it's silly but i was very excited). Josh then wanted me to call daddy so we could tell him. I put Josh on the phone and all he wanted to talk about was the book he was reading on the toilet, he didn't even tell him he had done a wee...

He went a few more times yesterday but he didn't do anything. He is at childcare today and i have asked them to put him on there and we will see how he goes. He is still in nappies but he has his bob the builder jocks and we put them on during the day just after he has been to the toilet but he seems to take them off and runs around the house with nothing on.

So that is my exciting life at the moment. Nothing else is happening (i have a sad life)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day

A Proud Mummy

by JuzzyComment Published at 03:2103:216 comments6 comments27 Visits27 VisitsReport

My big boy sat on the toilet tonight for the first time. We have been wanting to toilet train him for a while but with having Amy, getting Josh's speech sorted out, childcare told us to hold off. We have now decided that the time is right so we went to buy him a new toilet seat and he finally sat on it tonight. I had to sit on the floor of the toilet reading him books, then he went one better and actually put jocks on as well. It is a small step but one in the right direction.

Nothing much else has happened in the last week. My best friend safely delivered her little girls, Tahlee and Madeleine she named them. Madeleine was just over 3 lb and Tahlee was just over 4 lb.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week

I feel like SHIT!!!!!!! I have the flu and Amy just wont sleep today.

Amy has finally started rolling over and now she has found that if she rolls she can get anywhere. I left her on her blanket on the floor before and went to wash the dishes and i came back and she was on the other side of the room. She is loving it. I have safely put her in her playcentre for now so she cant get anywhere.

My best friend is being induced today so i am sitting here next to my phone waiting for a phone call. She is pregnant with twins but they are not due for another 6 weeks but one baby isn't doing so well and it will do better on the "outside" so she was put in this morning. The only thing is i have the flu so i must stay away from the hospital until i am all better but i wont see the babies because they will be in NICU. But i want to see my best friend. These are her first babies after many years of trying and i can't wait to meet them.

Anyway i better finish here, need to put Amy to bed AGAIN and see if i can catch a nanny nap before i pick up Josh from daycare.

Take Care

Long overdue blog.....

by JuzzyComment Published at 19:1419:141 comments1 comments13 Visits13 VisitsReport

Haven't blogged for a while. Hope everyone is well.

Everything is fine on this end of the computer, the kids are finally well again. We had about a month when someone in the house was sick. Poor Amy seem to cop everything. I had her at the doctors so much that her needles ended up being a month late. I finally said to the doctor that i would bring her in and if she didn't have a temperature then just do them. So he did them on Thursday and my brave little girl didn't even cry. I'm guessing it is because she has such chunky legs that she didn't even feel them.

Joshua is doing very well at the moment. I finally managed to leave him with my mum on Saturday night. It was the first time in Joshua's 2 1/2 years that my mum looked after him. He waved hubby and i off and continued to play until bed time. My mum had no problem putting him to bed and there was no tears at all. I am so happy because now we have another baby sitter and now we can maybe get some sort of social life back. Amy is no problem and can be left with anyone but Josh can only be left with hubbys mum and now my mum.

Joshua has learnt how to count to 15 now. He has been counting to 10 for ages but yesterday when we were counting i decided to go past 10 and he counted with me. I was shocked, i have been counting to 15 for a while but i didn't think he was taking it in. He has got his colours worked out as well he love the colour blue and yellow. I can't wait till we see the peaditrician at the end of the month and she can see how different he is to the last time we saw her and maybe then she can write a different report for him, one that doesn't say that i am the reason for Josh's behaviour problems and i am the reason he doesn't talk.

Anyway better finish here, Amy has woken up and needs a bottle.

Take Care all,
