Hiya, My name is Kara and Im 25 years old.
I got married in 2005 and it was one on the best days of my life, that and having my first child on October 29th 2007 after only a short labor of 4 hours (lucky me?)
My pregnancy was normal, lots of morning and night sickness, cravings for pickled oinions and the excitement of becoming a mother to the little life inside of me. My little one was awake quite alot, giving lots of kicks and had hiccups quite often, which was amusing for friends and family when my belly would move!
Now that Im a mum, my life has totally changed. I had been working for the past 11 years as a full time Dispensary Technician and now Im a full time mum- and I wouldnt have it any other way.The first 5 weeks were hard, sleepness nights, the breastfeeding etc, but after that, we got into a routine that worked. Bath at 6:30pm, massage, pj's, hugs, feed at 7pm, burps, more hugs and bed at 8pm- and she sleeps through till 7:00-7:30am!
Little Amy is full of smiles all day long and laughs at everything. My husband and I are so happy to have such a wonderful little girl!!

Well, I havent been on here in ages so where to start...... Amy is now 8 months old and is a very talkitive young lady! She has gained her two bottom teeth (so cute) and is rolling around from one end of a room to another (or crawling backwards)
Her first word was"Dada" and is now saying "mum". (to everyone)
She is waving goodbye and clapping her hands, oh and she is a brilliant dancer! haha
I was looking through some photos the other day of when she was born and I cant believe the changes in her in such a small amount of time! She not a baby anymore
Mind you she is very bossy and likes to get her own way(bit like her daddy hehe) those lil temper tantrums are so cute!......for now i guess!
Started exercising with my sister in law, nice long walks with the kiddywinks in there strollers, hoping to loose a bitta weight before xmas...... hopefully I stick to it this time( fingers crossed)
Anyways ciao for now!

Well yesterday Amy and I went to the docs for Amys 6month needles and general check up.
My lil girl weighed in at 8.7kg and is 71cm tall which puts her in the 90th percentile.
I hate taking her to get those nasty needles! The poor bub was so upset even the nurse looked like she had a tear in her eye! Im so getting daddy to take her for her 12 month needles! Afterwards she seemed to be ok with few side effects. Sore leg around the area that the needle pricked her, little bit of a temp, Sleeping however remained the same: bed at 8:30 and woke up at 7:30 this morning(yay)
Amy is also starting to make sounds like maamaa and daadaa, very cute! She pulls the best face when she talks!
Tonight for the first time ever (well probably the 4th time since my husband and I have been together-which is 7 years) My husband has decided to make dinner! One of our fav shows on telly is Gordan Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares/Hells kitchen etc, and thats put him in the mood for cooking! haha! So Weve invited My brother and his wife over for dinner too-might as well get the most out of it......kos it wont happen again for another 2 years!! haha
Just went to shops with Amy..... this has never bothered me before, I actually get quite chuffed when people comment on how cute Amy is etc, and it really makes my day- but today some lady came up to us while Amy was asleep in her pram commented on how cute she was then decided to hold her hand and wiggle it about and start talking to her, which made Amy wake up. Now is it just me or would other people get annoyed at that??
Anyhoo going to do some house work now

Well today is my birthday, another year older (how depressing!)
What a busy day Amy and I had! Every wednesday we go to playgroup, todays was the end of term so it was party time for all the kiddies. I was up at 6am making plates of fairy bread, got ready, got Amy fed and ready then it was off to pick up my nephew Ewan(who I babysit weds mornings) and brace another weekly playgroup session. When we arrived my best mates son ran up to me and screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARA WARA" and then sang the new rogue traders song that hed been practising all week for me. (private joke between me and my friend, everytime we are together that song "hey surprise, I never liked you, even when I tried too" comes on) silly humour that we have! Any way it was very funny hearing a 4 year old sing it!
There was face painting, party food, toys and more toys-it was really fun and the kids looked so cool with their little face's painted! - no I didnt get Amys face painted...even tho she asked So that went on for 2 and half hrs and then I dropped Ewan at nana and papas house.
Amy and I then met up with my best mate and her 2 kids for lunch, which was nice (very eventful though)
When we got home my husband was home from work as he has a "man cold" hehe bless him! So we all sat together and opened my birthday pressies and cards...Amy had fun with the colourful envelopes! So for my birthday I got money which i need as I really have to go and invest in some new underwear as Ive said goodbye to the ol' maternity bras! My hubby and I decided not to get each other pressies this year, instead we are going on a family holiday to phuket in the middle of the year! yay!! My mum and nana came over to see me aswell...however Me really thinks it was to have a wee cuddle with Amy! =)
And now Im just back from having dinner with my hubby, Amy , Brother and sister-in-law and now Im so tired! Any ways Im off to have a nice cuppa tea and off to bed..... fingers crossed Amy sleeps through, she has been waking up the past week crying until I put her dummy in her mouth, then she falls back asleep.... this happens about 2-3 times a night, Any suggestions???
Also She is starting to roll over onto her belly during the night and wakes up crying too! Looks like shes teething aswell, Iv seen her rubbing her ears, someone said this is common in infants that are teething? Red cheeks, chews everything in sight too! My Poor lil girl. Any advise would be apprecitated! Thanks guys! xxxx |

Well today was a little milestone, with Amy sitting in a high chair for the first time, very cute. She was happy banging her toys on the table and giggle and talking away to herself while we had dinner. I cant believe how fast she is growing up and how much she has learnt in such a short time!
I have started her on solids aswell, rice cereal with pureed fruit for morning tea and rice cerael with pureed veg for afternoon tea. A bit messy at first as she was getting used to it but she loves it now! And she has now taken a liking to water finally! yay!
