Hi. I'm 34 years old and am a single mother to a beautiful 7 1/2 month old girl. She is actually my foster daughter, though as she has been with me since she was three weeks old, I am the only family she has ever known. I could not love her any more if I had given birth to her and consider her to be my child. My parents, brother and sister all live reasonably close by, are very supportive and have welcomed the newest addition to the family with open arms. Mostly my experiences are the same as any other new mum and I wish we had more opportunities to blend in and be considered a 'normal' family. |
