That'd be right!

Comment Published at 23:4223:428 comments8 comments19 Visits19 VisitsReport

I just went outside to get the bins in and get some firewood.  I walked back in and was just saying "oh isn't it lovely to walk into the house and the furniture is not pulled apart and two children are sitting nice and quietly minding their own business..." (ant not trying to kill each other), when I caught a look at my daughter!  She had a tube of royal blue paint - all over her clothes, in her hair, all over the lounge and the cushions!  AAAGH!  I knew it was too good to be true!

Oh what a creative girl! And what was big bro doing at the time? Where's policeman brother when you need him to be laying down the law/telling tales? Thanks goodness mine havent done this yet - together its just been breakfast cereal being consumed under the table, but last year you may recall Emma & the fertiliser...? Still finding it now - thankfully Soph never ate any, as far as I know anyway.

Re: That'd be right!

My biggest disaster was not with a little boy but with my 14year old son Simon He had a friend in and they had been out and bought a tin of bright red paint and without asking us permission, he and his friend set about painting his bedroom walls, and yes you've guessed it They dropped the tin of paint on the bed, then trying to rescue it ,it fell on the floor. It was so long ago I can't remember how cross I was but you have just reminded me of it.!!!!!!!!!   Good thing he lives in Iceland

Yes, in our house, quiet = trouble!  SO much for me trying to make a point of encouraging good behaviour!

Needless to say that this is not the first time!  That is why we have a removable cover over the lounge, only when I pulled it off, of course, the paint had gone through!
