So far so good

Comment Published at 10:2710:271 comments1 comments50 Visits50 VisitsReport

Wow- it is Thursday already. So far the day has been quiet although Gabriel has had a clumsy day. Bless his little heart! He is napping now so I must be quick so that I can get ready for the lovely store trip that must be made. I am so behind today.

Last night was horrible. My husband is going through a huge amount of stress with work, at hom business, Florida trip upcoming, etc., etc., and he tends to take that out on the one closest to him which turns out to be me. So, he came home ok but then he went on a screaming fit and cursing like the ex-sailor that he is. I took Sidney to her tumbling class and bundled Gabriel up to take out in the cold as well. I stayed there and watched rather than going home to put Gabe to bed. When we got home the hubby wasn't there but soon returned. I stayed in my daughters room with the baby and helped her with homework so to stay out of the line of fire. Once everyone was settled and I completed my house work I just slipped in our room while he worked and went to bed. He stayed up most of the night, like he normally does so sleep wasn't great but I'll survive. I woke at 1:00 AM with a trrible headache, took some asprin and went back to bed. He was still up...

I got my daughter off to school and returned home to my hubby still sleeping so I shook him briefly to wake him for work and then left to start Gabriel's breakfast. He left shortly after that so everything is quiet now. I am sure that he'll cool down in a day or two. It always lasts a few days.

So, Gabriel fell like 3 times today and has scratches on his pretty little cheeks from the door. He was in his big sisters room and there are so many neat things there for him. I finally just took him out and closed her door.

Sidney has a game tonight so Gabriel and I will go and watch  bit later today. That makes for a longer night but she loves it so much. I'll have to get dinner prepared before leaving so that the hubby has food to come home to and no other amunition to use. I hate adding fuel to his already blazing fire. Poor guy...I do love him so much.

Gotta get busy with chores now. More later!

Feels like a Monday

Comment Published at 13:5113:513 comments3 comments60 Visits60 VisitsReport

Well, here I am writing my very first blog on Minti. There are a thousand things that I could write about but I think I'll just start with my day.

It is Tuesday here but it feels like a Monday. Gabriel (11 months old) woke up early because his daddy left for work making a bit too much noise. That is ok though because he woke with a beautiful smile and ate really well. My husband took Sidney (11 year old daughter) to school this morning because his car is in the shop and so he needed mine. Gabe missed his first day of baby gym since we didn't have a car but we'll catch up next week. I was looking forward to tomorrow as well because church activities start back and Gabe would get play time there for a couple hours. I just got an email from hubby though and he says that his car won't be ready today as planned so we'll miss tomorrow as well. I am a bit sad about missing the social outing but I still have next week.

Gabriel and I played in his room since we missed gym class. We counted and played with his choo choo for a bit. He was ready to explore the house after about 15 minutes so we started doing a few chores. He loves the vacuum so clean up time is fun for him which makes it easier for me. I felt really sick for some reason last night so I was unable to do everything that I wanted to do so today was used to catch up. Gabe took a 2 hour nap and I rested a bit because I am still not 100%.

It is evening time here and I am catching the last half of Oprah. Today they are speaking about stay at home moms and I am so glad that I was here to see this one. I question myself so often about staying home instead of working but now I have heard both sides. I love being home with my children and cooking, cleaning and such. I am also so glad that I can take and pick up Sidney from school and cheerleading. I look back and see how much time I've missed with her over the years. I am so glad to be here more for her and for Gabriel too.

Well, I must get dinner prepared so I'll see everyoe tomorrow. :) Be blessed!
