I called the government Tennessee Wildlife place on Monday and they say they do not take care of nuisance coyotes ... Don't know what that government tax paid organization does .... Thanks for nothing ! I am still searching for solutions .... I have found much scary info about coyotes ... like if they eat one cat they will find it a great hunting ground and stay to eat more kitties .... and I am finding it distressingly hard to get my kitties in at night, which is when coyotes feed .... that is also when kitties want to hunt ... If anyone has solutions to coyote problems, please let me know .... I have researched trapping (nearly impossible), smells like ammonia, bright lights, recorded sounds of wild cats .... What do you know that works to get rid of coyotes ?

A coyote ate one of my kitty cats last night ! I am very devestated ! One of my other kitties disappeared when we moved to this subdivision a few months ago and I just thought he ran away ... but last night a wild coyote ate my kitty !!! I do not know what to do about this yet ... It is a holiday and I won't be able to contact the wildlife authorities until Monday .... I hope they will offer help in getting rid of this wild animal .... I am certainly worried about my other kitty cats that insist on going outside ....  I am very sad for my Marshall ... my big ol'e fat grey kitty cat .....  Poor kitty ..... we and his kitty brother (Maestro) will miss him bunches ....

Let me tell you about that kitty
That kitty is Pete . .. Let me tell you about him ... when I was pregnant and packing my bag for the hospital he would always get in the bag as if to say "take me with you when you go" ... He comes running when Jacob cries, steals the baby's clothes when I am changing him, takes the baby's toys and shoes ... Anything the baby has worn or handled , even getting in the high chair to take a nap .. And before Jacob was old enough to pull his tail he would always want to lay with the baby (of course I was real careful with that ) .... Pete loves loves loves Jacob ! And Pete is just a few months older than Jacob (so I pray Pete will be around for a long time), so I say that Pete is Jacob's kitty cat .... The tail pulling doesn't seem to bother Pete much ... he just lays there and takes it. He loves to join Jacob for his bath and even still some nights when I am putting Jacob to bed, Pete will jump in the crib several times and I have to keep getting him out and chase him out of Jacob's room ! So sweet !

Mind you, I have seven kitties total and Pete is the only one so very attentive to little Jacob ! Love that ! So special !

We went today for Jacob's one year check up a few weeks late .... our doctor gets booked up so quick ... anyway, all checked out well ... He is thirty one and a half inches and twenty four pounds .... Our doctor says "That is a solid boy ! and strong !" .... It is always a relief to hear from our doctor that Jacob is developing along as he should ... He did have his shots and took it "like a man" ... not too bad considering .... Such a good boy !

Just did Halloween

Well, we just had Halloween and it was a bust ....  We just moved to a subdivision with lots of kids and we thought the night would be filled with all kinds of kids in all kinds of costumes visiting and asking for "Trick or Treat !" .... We had four different visits from 13 kids total and most were not even dressed up nor did any of them yell "Trick or Treat " ! I was disappointed to say the least .... I got dressed up as a corpse bride and my boy was a football player .... I decorated the front door and porch ... nothing exciting happened !!! Not like when I was little ... we did not have much growing up but one thing we had once a year that was special was the "Trick or Treating " .... We dug through our closets to put together a costume, walked the neighborhood going to strange houses "begging" for candy or else the house got a trick ... and we always said Thank you ! I am rambling ... and you would really have needed to be here to understand my immense disappointment .... So few kids, and the few who did show were disenchanted, no sense of fun or whimsy and no sense of gratitude ... Most did not even bother to try to even resemble wearing any kind of costume ! And not even saying "Trick or Treat !" and not even saying "Thank you ..." Where has childhood gone ?
