Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
you go girl, I also shop at IGA rather than coles or safeway the one here may not be as cheap as the big supermarkets but is 15kms closer and they really came to the party helping our local firefighters in the Jan/feb Gippsland bush fires I cant forget that as for the fuel I live in a town of 500 people I would rather spend and extra cent per ltr to help the station in my small town. good on you for getting out there and fighting for the everyday person.
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
I love that I get the choice of which charity my money goes to with IGA, kind of feels like you are a part of something really amazing. I pay extra money for fuel too, even if I can't afford to.
Can you imagine a country run by 2 major grocery stores if they eventually push everyone out. Beer, wine, spirits, petrol, and groceries.... They will run everything.... It can't be good for the people of Australia
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
My husband says that is exactly what is going to happen, like the USA....if people like yourself and the everyday joe blow does not speak up and be heard.
The big big companies are slowly pushing all the little traders out, as you said they already have their foot in the door with big petrol companies, alcohol and next will be chemists and they will have it all.
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
Oh so, so, so neat! You come off perfectly and gee your family is photogenic! You rock! What are poppers that you need for your kiddies lunches? LOL! Gotta ask! You must be so proud that you are calling attention to that!
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
LOL.......... poppa juices, the little boxes of juice for the lunch box.... you get in to all sorts of trouble off the kids if you ever run out of them....
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
That was a good article. In England at the present time they are offering £5 off a litre of petrol if you spend £50 at the Supermarket and their profits are way high too
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
LMAO!!!!!!!!! Thank you, the story all started with a letter I emailed to all my friends and to all the news stations.... I had no idea it would end up with a film crew on my door step...
It was the first time I actually didn't just winge about thing and actually did something.
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
Go Rusty! You rock, I totally agree with you, it is a sham and I can't believe how many people fall for it week after week. Surely a primary school kid could do the maths! Keep up the good work, you are a great asset to your community, (not to mention an uber super mum).
Re: 1 person can make a difference, I made the news....
