Re: A Nasty Midwife
What you have described sounds like a very bad case of pre labour, this can last for a few weeks!!!!! Arrrgggghhhh! lol.
I would say you will have your bubs very soon, if you aren't already on the way to the hospital again!
I would report that midwife as they are not allowed to treat you differently because of marital status.
I had to be induced with my 3rd child, and the midwife I had wouldn't listen to me when I kept saying it was moving quickly. I think she filed for retirement after that because I was right! 10 mins later, there was my daughter! Sometimes the professionals think they know it all and don't listen to the woman who is actually going through it at the time. With my 4th, I basically delivered her on my own, telling the midwife when things were happening, and she was a champ! Stayed by me the whole time and told me it was my body and that I had done it all before and knew when I needed to push etc. Let's hope you get a midwife like that next time.
Hope it all goes well for you! Oh, and keeping walking as much as you can in labour, it helps to bring bubs head down quicker, expands the pelvis (like a warm up) and things are over much quicker.
