So we're both still sick. Lily's getting better thank God. The stupid medicine that I have to take to make me stop coughing is keeping me up, but at least I'm not coughing! My cousin's son has to have an operation, and he's only 4 so we're all very worried, and it's all very sudden. Nothing to do but hope and wait for it all to be over! |

So Lily and I are both sick with this bloody cold that is going around. Man is it ever hard to be patient with a sick baby when you're sick yourself and just wanna lay in bed all day!
On another note, Lily met Santa!!! And she didn't even freak out or cry or anything! She does look a little bit confused, and she pulled his beard off, but so cute! I'm not really one for dressing her all girly and stuff, but I'm so glad that I have a picture for our Christmas cards this year!
Actually Mall Santas always look a bit creepy to me. LOL

So visit with the parents was as horrible as I could have imagined. To summerize... my mum knitted, my dad watched the history channel.... and then when they left, they took my take-away leftovers!
Today Lily went in for the first part of her testing, the blood tests, and she didn't even cry when the nurse stuck her! Such a good girl. She's still doing the head shake thing, but I've noticed that its mostly after I give her something sweet, like juice, or fruit, so I've pretty much cut those out (and someone's not happy about it!)
So we'll see her Doctor the beginning of next week and see where to go from there! I'm praying its nothing, but not knowing is probably even worse right now then if something was wrong with her! At least then I could deal with it. |

Thank God it's Thursday! Not like it matters, everyday is the same when you're on Maternity leave! My parent's are coming to visit this weekend, so it's mad cleaning day, guess I'll have to try to limit my Minti time! LOL
My dad's not talking to me, as I moved from what he had deemed a "perfect area to raise children in" to an apartment in the city. Why do father's think that they still gouvern our lives even after we've obviously become adults? Ought to be an interesting weekend, as he hasn't talked to me since I moved a month ago! Oh well, I'm sure that they are going to be happy enough to see the baby and all the exciting things that she's learned to do since the last time they saw her.
Oh! And we're getting a new doctor! My old one was completely ignorant, and wouldn't listen to me, and she was a bitch, so thank God that this other one is accepting patients. For all you Maritimers out there, Dr. AJ from Live at 5 is accepting patients! We're going to meet her tonight, and I'm really hoping that we click. The old one gave me grief about everything! From how much weight I'd gained when I was pregnant, to how my daughters height/weight measurements didn't match (95th for height, 50th for weight, but they have always been like that, and she eats well and is generally healthy, so I'm really not concerened. Her father is very tall so I kind of expect her to outgrow me by the time she's 8 LOL).
Well, off to clean, hopefully I can tear myself away long enough to make it look like I don't live in a bear's den by the time my parents get here tomorrow morning!
