Well, I'm a single mom. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with my beautiful daughter, Lily. I am part of the Canadian Armed Forces, and I've just gone back to work after a year maternity leave. Being part of the Forces is a challenge some times, as I'm worried about having to go on deployment and missing out on time with my baby, but I know that I am helping to make a differance in the world.

Lily is such an amazing baby. I never really thought that I would have babies of my own, as I've had several miscarriages and I have alot of internal scarring. But in August of 2005 I found out I was pregnant again. I was paranoid that I was going to lose this one too, so I really didn't get excited about it until I was about 5 months pregnant and realized that this one was gonna stick.

Even though everyone told me I was having a boy, I knew that I was going to have a girl. I'd always wanted a baby girl, thought I thought I was going to have to adopt, which I was perfectally content with. And on May 10th 2006 my little bundle of joy came into the world by emergency c-section.

And now my little one is a whole year old! Wow time flys sooooo fast!
