MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

Comment Published at 18:4818:4822 comments22 comments62 Visits62 VisitsReport

While Daddy will always be the favourite, followed closely by GranpaPete, it seems that UncleDrew, or UnGrew is THE numero uno male in MicroMe's shiny bright eyes right now. It is no surprise, as he is also MaxiMe's absolute favourite person to be with (other than MicroMe) as well, and he is a lot of fun!

Drew is great to go out with and since I met him, he has been an awesome 'boyfriend's little brother'. We have gone to the movies, pubs and clubs, played with rockets in the backyard, played 'golf', had bbq's climbed, abseiled, gone swimming and partied together.

We all love motorbikes too, and Drew has some awesome friends who are also fun to hang with as well - which is a testament to his great personality. He is loyal, motivated fit and he has a very stunning 'not the girlfriend' Nanc - who MicroMe is somewhat enamoured with as well.

MicroMe was introduced to UncleDrew on his first trip over the mountains at the ripe old age of 6 weeks. Drew always loved his little nephew, and has been known to show off his pictures out and about at the pub and such.

On our last visit over the Australia Day weekend - MicroMe insisted that UnGrew read his good night story, and we finally coerced UnGrew into putting a nappy on MicroMe. (Albeit straight out of the bath tub, and he stood up to get it put on, not lying down). While I was in hospital, MicroMe stayed with NannaSylv, PapaPete and UnGrew...

It was UnGrew whom he behaved for and who could get him to eat his dinner. It seems he holds UnGrew in high esteem, and Nanna said he was a proper little man and behaved very well whenever he was around. Thanks UnGrew for being such an awesome Uncle, Not The Brother In Law, and Brother - we love you xox

Well anyone that has play toys like that has got to be fun to hang about with,  There is nothing like true love and I think that's so important for kiddies, mine never had that but our new addition will!   For sure!

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

I reckon, so, though he was fun before he had the toys too... NannaSylv has assured me that she is really number 1 in the household... LOL!  It is so hard to tell, he seems to know who is best to provide for each of his particular needs - he has us all worked out.  Uncles rock, they are supposed to teach you naughty things, like jumping on the couch, and playing pranks - I am sure your new addition will have a whole world of love and laughter waiting for him/her.

Aw thanks - Uncles do rock don't they?  They let you be a lot more naughty than parents do, and they are always fun!  It isn't hard to get good photos hanging out in the NSW countryside - especially now that it is so green.

Thanks matey - I give him heaps about not being Mummy's baby any more... I met him when he was only 17, and he has always been such a great friend - we are very lucky to have him, and this will be my reminder.

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

Ditto to you!  Yes, that cheeky little photo - Uncle Drew had been spinning him round on a little turntable and they had a mishap.  That was them making up and being all happy again - he looks like the little cat that got the cream.

The bike is great, he did really well, he got it off e-bay sight unseen.  We thought he was mad, but he rode it all the way up from the Mornington Peninsula on his own.  He also made a new friend, as the guy he bought it off stayed with them in Bathurst on his travels.

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

What a lovely blog Lui! It's so nice to have such supportive family isn't it - and I know Jack has a ball when he goes to stay with my Mum & stepdad for his monthly sleep over (although he hasn't been for about 3 months and is hanging to go LOL), and sometimes doesn't want to come home, especially if we go to pick him up!

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

Thanks Teshia, yes, those sleep overs are great!  I should have rested more in his absence though, because he has  been a handful since he got back, and right now I am not up to it.  The house (especially the living room), looks like a trashed toy shop and MaxiMe seems oblivious to it grrrrr... Ah well, can't have it all I spose (though I am aiming for it!).

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

Nope, no glasses, just have my old laptop going, and it is right in front of my face... I am getting movement sick just walking around at the moment - so have been lazing online emailing and mucking about all day.  (In between nappies, food, drinks, singing, reading, playing trains and bathtime etc of course).  Someone was very cuddly today, and we had lots of snuggles and he likes looking at helicopters on youtube with me.

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

Hi Lui, glad your all reunited and feeling better. It is great when our little bundles gel with others in the family, it does make the seperation more bearable when you know they are having an awsome time with their chosen heroes. Drew sounds like a true hero to little Jaydee.

Luv,Winnie.xxxx

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

He is so funny - he gave me a big wave, but he hung off Daddy like a little monkey last night.  We were at the Heights Hotel at Kurrajong for the handover and he had to go everywhere with Daddy.  It took some convincing for him to sit in his own chair for dinner.  He looks so grown up with his flash new hair do too.  Drew is a crack up, they both act up for each other methinks.

It is great when kids behave so well for others, especially when you are stuck in hospital worrying about it all.  Hope you are on the mend now.

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

It is - he is so at home there, and of course there are so many fun things for him to do.  I am pretty sure he has more toys up there too - as well as Daddy & Drew's old toys to play with.  I'm mending - thank you, I am usually a fast healer.

Re: MicroMe: Flavour Of The Month

I didn't worry so much - MicroMe thinks he owns the place - I just missed him.  We met up with them to hand over our little prize last night at Kurrajong.  It was a happy (and yummy - good bistro), reunion.
