Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

Comment Published at 17:3417:3424 comments24 comments58 Visits58 VisitsReport

It is great to be in regional NSW instead of busy bustling Sydney... We have both got fun new jobs working for good companies, with really nice colleagues. MicroMe is in an awesome 'school' with lovely teachers not far from MaxiMe, and we all take turns car pooling and picking each other up - and there is hardly any traffic!

We have time to go out together - yes TOGETHER, to sports, parties, clubs, and all that stuff that seemed to only happen once or twice a year before. We have done kickboxing, soccer, boxing, grappling and weapons training together - yes TOGETHER again, such a novelty, so fun! MaxiMe gets to hang with UncleDrew and ride with him too as of yesterday when he got his wheels registered. (My eyes are GREEN - mint green!).

NannaSylv teaches practical things, about the weather, colours, counting and gives lots of cuddles...

NannaSylv and MicroMe reading one of the MANY books that she has contributed to his little library.

How have we been so lucky? Well thanks in part to UncleDrew whom MicroMe absolutely adores, it is mainly due to the wonderful support we are getting from NannaSylv and GranpaPete. Their patience, kindness, and accommodation of our little family has given us an opportunity for a new start in life, and we are most grateful!

GranpaPete teaches how to chill with the guys, tell funny stories, and all about cars and motorbikes...

Granpa fixes things for MicroMe to play on - he usually wears a helmet, however he was posing...

NanaKate in NZ sent over 3 beautiful winter jumpers for MicroMe which are much needed up here - we will get you over to babysit (er I mean for a holiday), very soon Ma! Life is good, having time to enjoy it and live it up properly and save for our future is a luxury that you guys are providing for us - THANK YOU!

Hey JJ, thanks ever so for the comment... I wanted to call you today, unfortunately I left my phone at home.  Then when we got home we had visitors up from Melbourne, (Jaydee got to meet his great, great uncle), and we went out for a family dinner and all that jazz.  Catchuverysoon xoxox

Hey Lui,

Sounds like your loving your new dream life!  One day we hope to move out of the city to the country but at the moment that mean going away from family.   You are lucky that you did move closer to family and for that I do envy you!!!!  LOL

Your pics look ace microme is such a cutie.

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

Thanks Ang

The air is certainly fresher and cooler, and the people are really nice!  MicroMe is starting to look a lot like MaxiMe, and tomorrow he will be minus his curls, which makes them even more alike.  (Methinks this is a good thing, as I like the look of MaxiMe LOL).

Thanks so much for dropping by - Lui : )

Hiya Lui,

Once I moved out of Sydney, I realised it was one of the best things I'd ever done. Never miss it at all and wish I'd done it sooner LOL

I moved to be closer to family as well and love having them nearby. Now we can get together so much more often.

keep having fun,

Cath xx

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

Thanks Cath, I wish you had told me this earlier!  LOL.  We are ever so spoiled, NannaSylv took me out to lunch today - 3 courses, I definitely have to play soccer tonight to run it off.

Last night we took the motorbike to kickboxing, then played pool, then went to the local RSL to watch boxing, then we went for a ride around Mount Panorama... All the while MicroMe was tucked up snug and safe at home with Nanna & Granpa - IT ROCKS! xox

Hi Lui,

I haven't visited you like forever but so happy that things are going so well for you there. The move really suits you. Must be great to have family so close. Love the photos. Little microme is the greatest camera poser. He will be like my middle one when he is older cause everytime I go to get my camera there are heaps of photos of him on it just holding it up to himself! LOL Have a great week, Lynette xx

Oh Lynette, now I feel guilty, the same can be said of me visiting you!  It is awesome having family so close, we get to have the best of both worlds.  Aha, you have a little poser too, aren't they fun!  I love those self posed piccies, they are always so funny, and they get such a kick out of looking at them too.  Take care - Lui xox

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

It is a good area to live... Nice people, nice shops, great parks, close to all facilities and not too far from the beach.  If you can afford it, do it, as the prices there are rocketing up, it's a great investment.  You can always come visit me if it is too crowded for you ; )

Oh Lui! Great to hear things are going great for you! Country life is so under rated sometimes,  i wish i was back there again and living the simple and relaxing life that we all deserve.

Family is a big part in our lives and i'm glad that to are closer to family so you can share the most important everyday things together.

Jaydee is getting cuter by the day, and growing up very quickly. You have done a great job sweetie.

Love you heaps Tee

Yes, he is looking very smug with Nanna, I think that Mumma may have put the hard word on him to behave himself, so he took off to Nanna. LOL.  Thanks for the comment princess, and I hope Chloe's meds are starting to kick in and she is feeling better - she has a BIG day on Wednesday! xox

Oh Lui, country living is so much nicer than being in the city.  For some reason, us Kiwi ladies struggle when confined by big blocks of concrete.

I'm so glad you are having a great time.  Got room there for us? lol.

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

Well Jaydee loves girls Arna, so I'm sure we could make an effort!  Seriously, it is a pretty good town, with all the facilities you need, and houses are so cheap compared to SydneyTown.

I hope you are feeling better today, and taking it nice and easy - take care :)

Hi Lui! Great to see that you are loving country life so much. I found it extremely different when i first moved from Sydney to the country too. I love it now, you couldnt get me back there if you paid me.

I love the pics! He looks like he adores his grandparents! I bet he is having such a wonderful time out in the (cold) fresh air!

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

I grew up in a town of 4,000 people, and I prefer open spaces... It is still a long way to go skiing, and I would like to be near a beach - but hey, you can't have everything all the time.

He does adore Nanna & Granpa, and of course they dote on him, and he feels VERY loved.  Hopefully we will catchup with you guys when the weather warms up a bit, check out some animals and all that!

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

Wonderful would be a little bit of an exaggeration... However, yes, we are VERY well looked after.  Too well methinks, the boys in this household need to learn to start fending for themselves a bit better - then again, don't ALL men?!  Thanks for dropping by gorgeous xox

That is fantastic Lui! Family is so important and looks like you have a great one there! Looks like you are all having a ball but what is this "together" thing you keep mentioning? I think I might go and google it! LOL!

Keep having fun!

Re: Grandparents; Good Times; Grateful...

It's kinda cool, like going on a date and stuff - you should try it sometime soon - it'll be easier to get a babysitter for one rather than two!  Ha ha... Yes, it is fortunate for Jaydee that he was born into such a generous loving family! ; )

LOL - they are sweet, though I am sure they have moments when they would like some peace and quiet.  We are all very spoiled as a family and individually, it is a hard act to live up to. ; )
