| Sydney Women's Premiers 2007 |
MicroMe; was born in January 2006, at 34.5weeks & weighed 2.555kg. The super star of our little family, he is a very athletic, social, funny little micro man. He is a pleasure to be with, a genuinely kind, caring, helpful little person, and our resident comedian, singer, dancer and gymnast.
MaxiMe; an awesome dad, loves running and swimming and kick boxing... Mainly the opposite sports to me - except we both like climbing, abseiling, motorbikes and cars - so it's all good.
Me; I play rugby union for the Warringah Rats in Sydney's Northern Beaches, we are the Ratettes - we have won the Sydney Women's Premiership for the last 4 years in a row. I have my own business and work for local small businesses, to earn money for investing, riding, boarding, rugby union, climbing, kickboxing and all the other fun things in life.

MaxiMe didn't get to sleep in and be spoiled too much this Father's Day, as I finally got the local flu that has been sneaking about for the past few weeks. He did get a lovely wake up call from MicroMe with and a special little book called 'Why I Love My Daddy', to start the day off. So MaxiMe read us the lovely story while MicroMe jumped all over ME?!?!
We let him have a bit of a snooze, and relax just long enough to wake him up again, (yeah, he really loves that), with his next pressie. 'Lollipops, lollipops,' yelled MicroMe as he unwrapped Daddy's present for him... Well, yes, lollipops were an added extra, however the main gift, (as featured below), were matching t-shirts from quinn macool. A company that Angela (HM) told me about, and they provided a great quality product and excellent service.

Once again we let MaxiMe snooze and think he was getting a sleep in, then MicroMe ran in with one last little pressie for his beloved Daddy... Camo Draggin Jeans! He usually borrows Drew's bike gear, and we thought it was time he started getting his own set together. We also think he looks really hot in them too!
After a big hearty cooked breakfast made by NannaSylv, the boys all set about washing their motorbikes. MicroMe helped UncleDrew bring the bikes out, and he also washed his own bikes, as well as helping PapaPete. The family, (sans sick me), all went out to Granma & Pop's for lunch and did a few little odd jobs, which included MicroMe driving the ute with UncleDrew & Granma.

When they came back, I had dragged some clothes on and done my hair; MaxiMe suggested that I looked like I was trying to pick him up - BINGO! It worked too, he took me on a ride out to NannaTerri's on the motorbike, and it was FUN! A few chores were done out there, not by me though, since I was feeling sick. MicroMe, who drove out earlier with Nanna & Papa, let me have turns on his old toddler bike going down the hill, and pushed me around the yard. We had a blast riding home, though we took a very long detour, every time we went round a corner, I wished I was riding and not the pillion! Needless to say it didn't do anything to help me get well, but it was very theraputic! |

It can be any colour.... As long as it's green! Some more happy snaps of the weekend that was ; ) We think 4 wins in a row might be a record... Best to go for the 5th next year, just in case it isn't!

We think MicroMe may have a mild case of the chicken pox. He has fluey symptoms, and 5 little pimple like things on his torso. He threw up on NannaSylv this morning, however he has been very cheeky ever since, I think he is on the mend. It is a pain be trapped at home with him, this afternoon we are going to drive around and look at houses for sale as we both have cabin fever.

Happy Ratettes... Go Warringah ; ) |

LOL... I need some sleep, but here's the short version of our week. Team training and team dinner together on Thursday night. Chilling out on Friday, and catching up with friends. A nervous and tough win on Saturday... Thank you to all of our supporters that made their way to that middle of nowhere to watch.

Venga Bus to our beachside apartment for the weekend... 18 bottles of champers, 12 bottles of red, oodles of other goodies; best friends, boyfriends, other lovers and supporters; party party party; no undies Sunday, party party party, mad Monday, party party party... Waiting for photos from friends, as I lost my camera at our last game of the round ; )

Thank you to MicroMe and MaxiMe for being the icing on the cake and being there on the day, as well as the rest of our BX family, who have supported me and babysat all the way through the season! Today is MicroMe and Me day. so I must go and play ; )

Last weekend I trekked out to Penrith, (not bad for me, only 160km drive from home), and met up with Parramatta who placed 2nd on the standings, (behind us) for the rugby season. After a loss the week before, and an average performance to win the next day, we needed to step up. I felt this was confirmed when we saw the size of our opposition... Most teams are bigger than us, but these women seem to grow weekly, and I am sure that some would be breaking the scales, and they can run too! Step up we did; our forwards contained their massive pack and played out of their skins, as usual Cheryl Soon our halfback was a stand out player. The whole team operated on a totally different level, and we ended up with a 28-0 win, (I thought it was 25, but our website says 28).

It was a huge success for us, and well worth celebrating... Unfortunately I couldn't do so with the team this week, as one of my good mates was back from the UK to organise all of his paperwork to fly to Saudi Arabia, so I headed to the northside to catch up with him and a couple of other friends. We had a lovely dinner, and some nice red wines, champers and cocktails. My favourite cocktail was the left hook punch; always a very handy thing to have in your repertoire, and in the case, quite tasty. It seemed like only a few drinks, and not too late a night, however I was pretty tired by the time I drove home the next day... I kept stopping off at peoples houses and guzzling coffee before I even left Sydney ; ) I missed Fi unfortunately, but I will hit her up for a free yummymummy java next time round.

Cold tap down the road.
Did MicroMe miss his Mumma while she was away? I think not! He had a great family day with Daddy, UncleDrew, NannaSylv & PapaPete. They went up to Mt Panorama and checked out the Billy Cart Derby, (yes, carts not goats Marg). There were carts there that little kids could have a turn in, and of course he loved that. They also went down to the Bathurst Miniature Railway and had a few rides as well. (Unfortuantely MicroMe and MaxiMe aren't looking to happy in this picture, however I am assured by MicroMe's excited garble that it was a lot of fun).

It has been very cold over the last couple of weeks, with frosty mornings, sleet, hail and snow (that white rain stuff from the sky according to MicroMe). It's fun ruggin up though, and MicroMe and I have both been training at the gym when we can, sometimes they have a nice fire going there too. I have started doing some grappling and karate, though I am missing kickboxing, I will get back into it when rugby finishes. MaxiMe has had the flu again and has been stuck at home, (i.e. grumped and frustrated), now MicroMe is catching it too... I put oodles of garlic in their bread last night, and started him off with lots of fresh fruit for brekkie. MicroMe now has a free extra day per week at day care, 'school' as parrt of their 20 year anniversary celebrations. He is quite happy with it, though I only took him for half a day while I did some messages and a couple of hours at work. He was very lucky to start the extra day when he did, as the Kelso High Circus (Cirkus Surreal) came out to entertain the kids.

In seven sleeps we will be digesting our grand final breakfast and making our way down to the rugby grounds for our grand final! If we can pull of another win, (which I believe we will) it will be the 4th in a row... It will pretty much cement this sentiment in last years Manly Daily "THREE premierships in three years has confirmed what most followers of Sydney women's rugby have known for a while - Warringah are the best team in the competition's history." I am concentrating on how good four years will feel, I don't see the point in contemplating the unthinkable. Right now, we don't even know who we will be playing; Sydney Uni and Parramatta will be slogging it out this afternoon. As for me, I will be having a long lazy weekend for the first time in ages ; )
