Hi, I haven't been on Minti for a couple of days as I have been so so so busy getting the boys ready to go back to school on Monday.

I'm hoping to be back tomorrow as I'm missing Minti already just after two days.

I've just quickly dropped in to write this note.

Hooray my son, Ramon, comes home tomorrow.  But oh boy, his father has done it again!!!!  I've just been given the details of my boy's flight home and it seems he is in the airport on his own for 2 hours between flights whereas his father told me originally it would only be an hour.  I will be so glad when he is home and this is all over.

To make things harder, his flight comes in at 11:30 tomorrow night and the airport is 2 hours away from me.  Which means I either drive home at midnight or I have to book a hotel room for the night.

This has been a lesson well learnt and I won't be letting his father book any more flights for my son - I will be doing it myself.  It's just too stressful!!!!!!

It was magic laying in bed last night listening to the rain.  I have been waiting for it so long as it has been so hot.  Today is a little cooler and the rain is not far away again.  Hooray.

The problem I have with the rain, as much as I love it, is I still don't have my house repaired from Cyclone Larry in March 2006 and when it rains - out comes the buckets everywhere to catch the leaks from the roof.

Fingers crossed, not for too much longer though -  my builder is coming next week so we can sign the contracts and then hopefully start work.  Surely another month should see me with a new roof and new ceilings so the boys and I can just enjoy the rain!!!!!!

Wow it is so hot here these last few days.  It has just taken all our energy and we haven't been doing anything more than locking ourselves in the one tiny room that I have air conditioned.

I think I'm going to have to start saving my pennies for a swimming pool as I can't think of anything else that we can do in the heat.

Since being diagnosed with Graves Disease I just don't handle the heat anymore.  Has anyone got any heat handling secrets?  I would love to hear them.

I hope you all are having a more mild summer than we have here these last few days.
