This post is from from my other blog here One of the best things I love about Christmas is the bubble and squeak you get for the next couple of days.
For me, bubble and squeak consists of mashing up all the leftovers from the Christmas roast, heating it all up and putting in on yummy warm toast made out of fresh bread.
Love it! |

Well today we took Charley to see Bee Movie - it was a funny one, although with Charley around I have seen so many animations lately that the one-liners tend to be a little lost on me these days!
Tomorrow, the beach weather permitting. I love the holidays! |

This post is from from my other blog here To be honest, I am hating being pregnant at the moment. Today I am feeling heavy, tired, emotional, swollen, just overall gross.
It’s funny though, even though you are told that this will all happen, and you’ve done it all before, it always comes as a surprise!
I’m just really looking forward to feeling better - surely it has to be sooner than later! And then you’ll all have to stop hearing me whinge! |

This post is from from my other blog here Well today I got to see my baby - yes just one thank god!! - for the first time. But not before a bit of an ordeal!
With my first ultrasound with Charley, I apparently didn’t drink enough, and the sonographer was not happy about it. So this time around, I overcompensated a little. Bad move.
When I got there, I needed to go to the toilet so bad that walking was uncomfortable, so when they told me that one of their sonographers had called in sick, and there would be a wait, I took them up on the suggestion to go ...

This post is from from my other blog here Well Charley had her first dance concert amid a very busy weekend on Saturday.
And she did the whole thing!
From start to finish she did all the steps, even finding herself a new spot in the line when she was kind of bumped out. I was SO proud of her I was balling my eyes out. And when it was finished she didn’t want to get off the stage.
Wish I could show you pictures, but we weren’t allowed to take any, so you’ll have to take my word for it. |

This post is from from my other blog here Yesterday Charley and I were waiting for dancing to start, when a rather large lady bent over in front of us.
So Charley felt it appropriate to say "she has a big bum" when I sshhed her she said it again. Upon being ssshhed again she whispered it "she has a big bum".
I don’t think the lady heard, but I told Charley that that wasn’t a very nice thing to say.
She replied "but she does!!!"

This post is from from my other blog here Sometimes it is the littlest things that are the most frustrating.
Today, after a successful shopping trip, I clipped a gutter in the mall carpark and got a flat tyre. Now this really should be no big deal, but my roadside assistance expired a month ago, and so I found myself calling the NRMA. And then my phone went flat.
Luckily for me I was still at the mall, so I went in and found a pay phone and recalled the NRMA, trying to join up to get someone to help me. But no, cause my car is registered in my dad’s ...

This post is from from my other blog here aahh, finally, a full day where I functioned. Still felt a little off, but basically a whole day which didn’t require couch with a rag over my face time. I even managed to do the shopping, practice making a Xmas pav (that didn’t work), make a roast for dinner and put the Xmas tree up - YAY!
So here’s hoping the morning sickness is on it’s way out! Am really looking forward to actually enjoying this pregnancy. |
