This post is from from my other blog here Just a quick post before I go to work at the bar - we got a cubbyhouse for Charley today! She is loving it - if only it would stop raining so she can play in it more!
Will have to take some photos tomorrow and put them up.
Now off to deal with the drunk 18 year olds |

This post is from from my other blog here OMG - I am near shaking as I write this, as it will force me to recall memories that I would rather file away in the never to be remembered box.
The move was a NIGHTMARE.
It all began on Monday. I called the RE to confirm everything. "Oh yes, so you will be moving in on Thursday." Um, no, tomorrow. "Oh but the new carpet will be going in tomorrow." No, the new carpet was supposed to be going in today, so that we could move in tomorrow. "Oh, well I’ll just give the owner a call to find out what ...

This post is from from my other blog here Moving is so all-ecompassing - you don’t realise how much until you start to get into it. What is worse is that I am only moving not even a kilometre away. Argh…
And today was such a bad day - Charley broke my only pair of glasses, I got a yummy yoghurt for lunch only to have it spill all over my bag, and then it was just generally a long day trying to entertain Charley while packing up her toys at the same time.
So tomorrow is the big move. I have set it up so that I have dial up ...

This post is from from my other blog here Today I was so busy that I forgot to eat.
As the clock ticked over to about two, while I was madly packing and working on mumspace promotional stuff (at the same time seemingly) I began to feel faint and quite sick. Oh no, I thought. I can’t get sick now.
I went an laid down on the couch, willing myself to feel better. I even hunted down some panadol in a vain effort to make myself well again.
After an hour of this fruitless activity, it dawned on me. I hadn’t eaten pretty much all day. That’s right, food = energy = ...

This post is from from my other blog here Well the move seems to be in full swing - everything is organised for a Tuesday move, now I just have to pack the house up! Getting there though, got really stuck into it today, and by the looks of it, so did Charley…

When I first started it seemed to get more and more daunting, but I am working my way though it. But if I am not as on the ball as I normally am this week, you know why - I am stuck in a box! |

This post is from from my other blog here Now I have been a frequent visitor of forums for a while now, so this is a rather embarassing question - what does DH stand for!! I have never understood, and have always too embarassed to ask!! |

This post is from from my other blog here Why does the flu always hit at the completely wrong time? It is like it waits until the time when you are at your most busiest, and then starts with that tingly feeling in the back of your throat and the heaviness in your head.
As I write this from my bed, with my husband next to me with the same symptoms, I reflect on the things I have to get done this week. Organise the move and completely pack up and move to another apartment. Meet some article deadlines, get some promotions happening, get some new features happening - oh ...

This post is from from my other blog here Argh, so much going on, not enough personalities to deal with it - may need to grow a couple more!!
So I think I posted a week or so back about the apartment with the big balcony that didn’t end up having a big balcony - well the plot thickened. Nicely, without lumps.
A couple of days later I got my email alert advertising another apartment with a big balcony. Again, with my real estate. I thought, stuff it. I was straight away on the phone to the RE, telling them that I didn’t want the apartment that I had been approved ...

Well well - there has been alot of hype today about the Bad Mother’s Club! So here is my two cents.
I think that there is way to much judgement out there for mums. I think that anyone who is dissing the whole idea of the Bad Mother’s Club is completely missing the point and can’t get past the name. For goodness sake - it is a joke.
It’s getting late, but I am going to make this quick - as far as I am concerened, when it comes to supporting mums, you can never get enough. So let it be ...

Everyone’s Got A Bottom is a controversial new book being put out by Family Planning Queensland that is doing the talk show circuit at the moment. Apparently this book is so controversial that it has been banned by a popular childcare service provider - I wonder if anyone has the dirt on who that could be?
The idea of this book is to educate children on their body parts by using the real names, like penis and vagina, and teaching children that they have a say in what happens to their bodies. The idea is that by making it ...

Well it is Easter Sunday, and this morning we had a little egg hunt with Charley. She is probably still a little too young to completely grasp the concept of the Easter Bunny, but she loved finding the eggs hidden in her toys! It was a lovely morning. I have posted all the photos on my photo page.
One thing I have noticed about Easter - absolutely everything is closed. You can’t even go to Woolies to get some milk. But atleast all the pubs are open so you can have a beer to celebrate the meaning of Easter.
Happy ...

This post is from from my other blog here I am running a bit late, but I thought I would participate in the Business Mums blogging challenge, so here goes - something old.
My husband.
Rich is 10 years and one week older than me - although you would never know it. For some reason I have always gotten on better with people that are older than me, which is definately the case with Rich - he is more than just my husband, he is my best friend.
One of the things that I love about him being so much older than me is all of the stories that he ...

I’ve been tagged by Melissa from Business Mums (or Missie K here on mumspace) to talk about confidence.
Usually confidence isn’t something I struggle with - I am usually really outgoing and am a great talker. But since I have started mumspace, the anti-confidence gremlins do tend to visit me a bit.
"Is that REALLY a good idea?" they whisper. "What happens if it all goes horribly wrong?" they taunt. "You are too young/unqualified/inexperienced to be doing something like that" they tease.
I think the main thing for mums out there is that they don’t doubt themselves - with anything. Whether it be ...

This post is from from my other blog here I have another "every second tuesday" on tonight - ah, some time out with my friends for a quick drinky-poo.
And I might even get a shower before I go - wonders never cease. |

This post is from from my other blog here Charley loves chocolate. Charley loves lollies. Charley also LOVES salad.
I have just served her up a plate of cucumber and red capsicum and she couldn’t be happier.
And she will only drink water. I tried to give her some juice today, and she screwed up her face and said "yucky". Saves me some trips to the dentist.
Small mercies, but it is nice when you don’t have to force feed your child the healthy food.

This post is from from my other blog here My lover has returned. He has found his way back to me. And I am eternally grateful.
For the last four days straight, Charley has had a lunchtime sleep. And because of that, has slept through the night.
I woke up this morning completely disorientated - why was it light, and 7am? It should have been 2am and I should have been getting up to a little tap on the shoulder. Oh that’s right, my friend has returned.
It’s 7pm. Charley eyes are not hanging out of her head and she is happily playing while I make dinner. Ah that’s right. He’s back.
Welcome ...

This post is from from my other blog here Moving. Yet again. Far out.
I have worked out that in the last six years I have moved 10 times, and this will be the 11th. This next place will be Charley’s 4th, 5th if you include the place she where she was conceived.
I was lucky, I found a place pretty quickly - it is another unit in this complex (which is a massive complex) so is very similar to the one I am in, except that it is on the ground floor, which is probably better cause I won’t have so many stairs to try and get Charley up and ...

This post is from from my other blog here Far out, when life decides to get crazy, it really gets crazy! My mumspace has been a little quiet of late, but never fear - I am still here!
A big thanks to everyone for their concern after my hospital stay - I am ok, am pretty zapped for energy, something which the prospect of having to move and working and everything else hasn’t helped, but generally I am ok! I have been really busy trying to organise some promotions for mumspace so that we can get more mums signing up for their space, so that has been taking up a ...
