Janice! I got to actually talk to Janice! On Christmas! And it was the best gift EVER!!!! I was waiting,like I'm waiting for the visit! She had said 8 and I was up the night before thinking of 8 and I had thought of 8 the entire day. I checked the phone many times to make sure there was a dial tone. I had told no one. I kept it between Janice and I ,quite the feat for me but I was so excited and the knowing it was coming was so exciting! The room was full and being the tecky wizard I am,I have trouble using the portables so the one old fashion land line is in the room where my son had set up his wii he brought in for us to play. The time was 7:45 and I stood up and started to the phone. IT RANG!!! The kids turned and they started to pick it up! I slipped through and past everone with unbeilveable speed and jumped around the corner! Haaa,haaaa,I saw everyone look at each other and wonder what was going on!!!

Janice! That voice came over the line from half way round the world and there she was. I was so happy! But she delayed going to the doctor's and I could feel the pain. I hope you are alright my dear friend. I'm a bugger for not going and taking proper care and you must take care of yourself!!! Hope the arm is O.K.!!!! I so hope the swelling and pain has lessened.

Janice sounded just like I knew she would. The voice was what I thought it would sound like! Hurry dear friend and feel better,I'm sending you warm vibes to heal. I wish we could chat every day! I wanted to stay and talk about all we have to talk about! I could touch you for a moment and it was so wonderful! Hugs for now until they are real!

It is nice to put a face or voice to faces we see here. I bet you were like a little kid, waiting for Santa to arrive! lol.

Not long now until the 2 of you meet up. Bet there are going to be lots of late nights, and much eye rolling from the male species! lol. Us women certainly can talk.

I also actually got to talk to Marg, what a wonderful moment that was....i can picture you making a dash for the phone, hehe! I would have put off going to the doctor's for hours more, if it had meant i got to talk to you....i also wished we could have chatted all day, but i think if we had started, we would still be there, now hehe! Can't wait for the day to arrive, that we can sit and talk without worrying about the time.

Hi Marge,

I'm afraid you will have to make do with me today as Janice has her arm in a sling and cannot type ! After we spoke to you yesterday, I took her to the medical centre where the doctor informed her that she had been bitten by a white tailed spider. This is one of the least pleasant of Australia's venemous nasties. It has already caused ulcerations of her arm which is badly swollen and inflamed. The pain has been almost unbearable. The doctor prescribed anti biotics and very strong pain tablets.I have to bathe the area with an anticeptic solution to prevent the ulcers from spreading. It is now 24 hrs later and it seems that the medication might be having an effect. I think that it will be a few days yet before we know if the antibiotics have worked. Untill then her arm has to stay in a sling and she is banned from the computer ! except with one finger !

However it was great to talk to you yesterday and Janice was really thrilled. She is counting down the weeks and then it will be the days ! We have Jamie and Julya staying with us for a few days, so Janice is really enjoying that - it helps to combat the pain.

So I hope that you have finished bailing out the cellar and have not found any other ice breaking activities to test you. I'll let you know how the patient progresses over the next few days, but I suspect that she will survive and be on track to descend upon you in May !

OH Dear!! I feel so bad that Janice delayed going and I pray it heals fast! Boy you guys have nasty little bugs there and how dare they pick on Janice! Hard to believe my dear friend has to go through all that due to a spider! Makes ours here look like lovely little things! Good thing she has the nurse with the adorable knees and company to take her mind off the horrid situation. I hope the best for Jamie and his plans and really,really hope that the antibiotics work quickly and completely,poor Janice.

YAY that is truly wonderful for the both of you. I remember the first time I got to speak to Amanda on the phone.......... I'll never forget it. I am so happy for the both of you. That really is the best Christmas present ever. Now time for me to get onto Janice about going to the Doctor......
