Today

Why are titles so hard?  Heee, heee best I could think of was today!  Well... today...we have a crazy snow storm, I rather like this!  The winds are so high that they are making patterns in the snow as it falls. They are whipping it sideways and blowing along the contours of the banks of snow we have left!  The banks have sunk to a more reasonable size in the melt last week.  We were driving out of these huge caverous tunnels to get to the roads. No one could see to get onto the roads and cars would just appear in front of you...very nerve wracking as I really hate the sound of violently bending metal.  Ours on both sides of the drive had been well over 6 feet high and I had been shovelling them down!!!  Now they are about two to three feet so you can see.  Funny watching people, the ones that blast out of the drive thinking what???  The other guy can stop? Or will stop?   Everyone knows I'm coming out of the tunnel at this moment???  Or not thinking at all just figuring the powers that be will magically clear the way?  I am more the causious type, edging out to peak...goes back to that hating the sound of glass and metal smashing thing!  I was thinking we would loose our lovely snow but after three days we are fully restocked!  And it's all clean and white again!!!

I have spent two nights up now out of worry over stupid mutt!  We came home from an outting to find Woofer limping badly.  This dog knows no pain, keeps going no matter what so I feared the worst that he had broken it somehow.  Hubby, who never seems to worry says see how it is tomorrow but the animal was in pain and I felt we should rush him out to be xrayed.  He went on his walk yesterday and limped the rest of the day.  I was still worried as Woofer would do anything to be beside Hubby.  What really worried me as Janice knows, was that he wasn't upside down sleeping beside where ever Hubby was!!!  Shocking, something was wrong!  Well after todays walk he is favouring it ever so slightly so I guess....yet again.... Hubby was right.  Darn!  LOL I am glad he is O.K. !

Well Hubby is out shovelling and he is soooo over winter!  We have shovelled tons this winter but it has been lovely!    Spring is not far off and this snow is so pretty!   I love the seasons and I love winter with it's beauty.  It is only half a foot today, not bad, with more coming down!  LOL!!  Is lovely!

Re: Today

Titles are very hard. Glad I am not the only one with that problem. Good to see that the woofer is on the mend. The winter sounds beautiful though shovelling snow sounds like a big task. Have a great week!

Re: Today

Glad to read that hubby is out shovelling and NOT you with your bad  lungs, I know the snow is beautiful but can understand  Dan ( the one who loves warmth not cold) being feed up with winter.

I am so worried about my friend avro and until he is sleeping like this

I will be worried. How he ever walked with Dan with a sore leg, puzzles me, though I know he would suffer anything to go for a walk with Dan. I sincerely hope he is recovering, did you find out what the problem was ????

Love you morest of more"s xxxxx

Re: Today

Haaa, haaaaa!!!!  You know I actually felt better when I found him asleep like that!?!??  LOL!  He is walking fine, after two days of worrying me silly !  He allowed me to feel the leg and I think he pulled the top of one bone out!   The swelling is gone and he is not limping.  He is off right now ,been gone for an hour, in the minus 10 c weather!!!  You know,  I think with no legs he would follow Dan!  Whhaaaaa  I need a dog!

Re: Today

No wonder I love shovelling as it doesn't happen very often here. Good thing too as everything stops at the first sign of snow, cars  buses , trains and airports close down too. We certainly aren't organised in the UK and those who don't like snow get grumpy. They ought to send all the grumpy ones to Canada, then they would see real snow

So glad all is well with Woofer

Love Pauline

Re: Today

I am glad Woofer decided not to cost us an arm and a leg,,,or paw!!! LOL!!  Hey!  We have enough grumpy people...heee,heeee, those that get grumpy over snow just forget how to build great forts!!!  I am sure that is it!   No wonder everything stops Pauline wasn't the last heavy snow fall over 17 years ago there?

Re: Today

Yah, cold and wet and I love the stuff!  Well we do call him Woofer but he is really Avro Arrow! Yah know you are up late young Lady!!! LOL Well really not too bad seeing I tend to be a nightowl too!  You have to think again about the snow though...if your lotto tickets come in you'll visit Canada!!!  Of course maybe you'll avoid winter.  It's still snowing here!

Re: Today

I'll just avoid winter totally and skip it here and be there in Summer and come back to Spring. LOL

I'm always up late nowdays. It's still early for me atm. It won't get late for me until the sun starts to rise, then I have to hide or I turn into a human again.

Re: Today

Yah, being human sucks much better to stay....what are you now?  Fairy Princess I think!  But not in a snow globe!  That's what it looks like here! The snow is really thick coming down heavily.  I have always had dogs too.  Seems even the ones you have as a kid stick with you.  17 years is such a good run, you must think of that dog often.

Re: Today

To be honest, I don't think of him much anymore, I don't think of my childhood much in general. But all memories of him are fond ones. I'm planning to get another doggy by the end of the year, I have to get some work done on the yard and fix up some fences and get a bit more financially stable before anything else can happen though. After the end of the financial year things should be better.

Re: Today

I hope things do get better for you.  I think finacial worries are the worst and weigh on your mind a lot.  Never would except we take feeding our kiddies and keeping that roof over them seriously!. Dogs are great, always glad to see you and so simple.  You take care of them they love you!  Hey...getting late now!  You sleepy yet?

Re: Today

Your dogs name is Woofer? OMG! My first ever plush toy was a dog that I named Woofer and I've still got him, and my first ever dog was also named Woofer, he lived for 17 years. I spelled it as a young child "Woofa" though cause, well, I was a kid and still learning how to spell. Glad he's getting better.

I won't comment on the snow, I don't like snow, it's too cold and wet for me.
