Minti world please take me in, You don't know where I have been, To hell and back then to see, Friends are waiting just for me.
They are there to cry and weep, Take my heart to care and keep, Lend a hand to let me sigh, In arms I trust while I cry.
To ask to be held so dear, To be so safe from all fear, For you to see only me, To be and to let all be.
Minti fun is there to share, So rejoycing fills the air, Stand up tall to see and breath, We together can be free.
Come join us to grow and find, Generous souls of like mind, Friends to treasure of all kinds, Minti lasting ties that bind.

It's one of those days, just beautiful. Rolled out of beddy byes and thought, geee I have a lot to get done today..where to start??? Ah-ha..Minti,that helps get all this stuff done! To all our dear Aussies and there are so many wonderful people that are from there,Happy Australia Day!!! I realize from the wonderful gift I recieved from Janice that there is a rift as to when Aussie Day is??? What a true puzzle. I guess the north was founded a couple of days earlier than the rest ,and the rest of Australia does not want NSW to celebrate with them. Hummm what a fracture in the weave of Australia...and you seem like such a friendly lot!!! So the question is why is Australia day the 26 only in NSW and why is it the 28th for the rest and yet NSW which is still Australia isn't allowed to join in? Ohhh the true quiries that this life brings forth. Maybe it is just better not to ask as my question on what vegemite was brought forth a heated debate. I wonder if any one has converted Ozbinky yet??? She seems to have a rather strong reaction to the stuff. I now have pictures of dear Janice being searched and having the vegemite taken and contained for it's potent qualities. Janice is trying to bring it to dear Jess that I guess has not been the same since she has had no vegemite. So it is rather a mission of mercy on Janice's part but I fear the Canadian customs will be warned by the anti-vegemite factors. They might tip off the guards that there will be a breach in the boarder with vegemite crossing into Canada. I know Janice takes her smuggling duties seriously, must get that vegemite to Jess but I fear the risk factor because if what Ozbinky said about it is true then the welfare of Canada is at stake. Well,I guess we'll have to see and I better get going and wonder about something more useful!!! So... Happy Australia Day to only New South Wales and I'll Happy Australia Day the rest with exception of New South Wales in two days!!! |

2. The people that are running about in my computer resent the fact I use them as they don't cooperate at all. I would love to join in all the sending back and forth but they have issues with me and I find it best not to over burden them with work.
3. I love fabric and collect it like a magpie collecting shinny stuff, this borders on addiction !!!!
4. Haaa, haaa, you'll love this one...I have rocks in my house. They are special rocks!!! Either collected from places I've been or given to me,those ones have greater meaning because some one thought of me and took the trouble to lug me back a rock!!! There!!! The secert is out!
5. Common one...would do nearly anything for chocolate! I know many people in this secret club! Even a few men.
6. I have very deep ties to people on here, never met them but looking forward to it and hoping to met more. Even the ones that think I can handle this task! I'm trying, yah, very!!!

Heee, heee, sounds like a grade school paper, what I did on my weekend! I had fun. It might had been the kiddies three birthdays but I got much more out of it! I got to watch my daughter produce the most wonderful birthday cards and one shower card that was so cute for a friends party. I got entertained by the youngest birthday boy who got a electronic drum set! Haaa,haaa...try getting a full meal ready with that going on in the next room!!! But they were having so much fun! The laughter was so catching!!! The faces so happy! I got to hear of Barcelona and Brussels and so many places as we hadn't seen our youngest since he returned from his travels. Angela knows how I love to "travel" through my kiddies!! It was so neat to hear what interested him and what they went to go see, what their take was on what to return to see more of!! I heard of the new school my daughter is attending and the new job my daughter in law finds herself doing!! So much life! So much interest in each other. It is a true gift to me to see my children care and offer sugestions and be truely loving to each other. That means the world to me. It is special to watch and hear the voices. They travel to my heart, knowing that they will always have each other. A wonderful gift that I hope each Mother gets to see because it is a true and pure thing that brings tears because it is an intense feeling. They are a bond in it's self, each in their own life and each travelling through the best way they know how but the shoulders of all their brothers and sisters are there if needed. To some times cry on,to rejoice together, to be thoughtful and clever and cheeky. It is great to see them all joined in as one and so individual. Birthdays always take me back to the welcoming day. The day you give your child the world. To cope with it best they can,to be a good person of the world and to expect that there be dues paid. Broken hearts along the way, hearts filled with joy, hearts that think they can't go on. But with your family you know you will be there for your kids. You know you will try to give them a sense of them selves and a gratitude for others that come and go in your life. Being there for them as they turn into adults is the biggest job in this world. The tougest job in this world!!! And I think that Mom's give it their all and try to do the best. And this...weekends with them is the reward. The pay off for all those sleepless nights. Well when they are babies yes but the first trip out driving, the first date, the first party...those sleepless nights age you more!! Believe me they do!! The pay off for behaving yourself as children see way more than you think they do!!! The gift for thinking...at least sometimes... before you say what you think!! Ohhh, that's a tough one,for me anyway LOL!!! Anyway, point of me going on is that the payoff for motherhood just gets better as you go along! Well worth the never ending effort!!! |

So one more rant then I will stop...maybe,can't promise!!! The little car? The one that someone cracked the windshield and did her harm? Well... go out again and come out of the store to find someone backed into her nose and left! Honestly...I don't know.
So...on the up side! The big tri-factor weekend is here! Yah!! We have two birthdays on the same day and one a couple of days earlier so everyone comes in! Double Yah!!! Well actually I guess it should be triple Yah!!! My daughter came in after midnight last night and the poor kid just narrowly missed plowing into an accident that was stopped in the fast lane with no lights on. So scary! I always get tense when they are travelling. All are good drivers and very alert but you just never know what they may come up against. So I give huge thanks to the powers that be for watching out over them and all drivers on the roads! My son-in-law came in earlier and stopped on his own to see us! That made me feel so good! I got hugs earlier than expected!!! Yah!! But..I did not get the house cleaned all the way! Oh-oh! Now with all the comings and goings guess I'll just have to forget about it...oh darn!!! Heee, hee that oh darn is soooo fake!!! Haaa, haaa!!! So I love the house filling up! I do hope this crazy weather stops though. We had rain last night for hours. It then turned to freezing rain and covered everything. Next, why not warm up..after all it's all in the same few hours so it did warm up and all the ice was gone along with my snow!!! Darn!! Now that one is real! Whaaaa, where's the snow? Well it's snowing now! The winds got crazy high after the melt and it dropped in temp. so fast!!! The winds are still high and the snow is starting to fall but at this rate the snow will not be replaced soon! So I look forward to seeing my little clan and catching up and hearing what everyone is doing...but most of all...I get hugs! Very important those hugs. So very important to let people know that they make your life so rich. They are so wonderful to be just them and I love to hug them because they are all so very dear. |

I love some of the Aussie sayings I've come across, and just so you know before you read further this is a b*tch and whine blog. There ,you've been totally warned, can't say I'm not up front! I'm knackered means I'm tired??? or fed up? Well..I'm tired of jerks and I am tired! I went to the bank and there were these teens that came loudly into the bank. I noticed the one lanky scruffy looking lead one was carrying a billy stick. Hummmm,I thought, why is that guy carrying a weapon? I looked him in the eye and he drew it under his coat. I went about my business and stayed long enough to help a senior out to the curb to her car. I went back and saw the group of about eight waiting for the one guy with the billy club that was still tucked a way so I figured their intent was not to do harm, bad me for pre-judging, so I went about what we had to get done at the mall. I met up with Hubby that had got his stuff done and walked out to the car. Well, well, there she sits leaking gas...and someone had impacted the wind shield with something hard enough to crack it down. No way can we afford to repair either. So was it that kid? Probably. The car was off on it's own and in the path of the route one would take if you got off the bus. So,fun, reach under and puncture the gas tank which we unfortuneatly had just filled costing 68 dollars and then smack the corner of the windshield and watch it crack. That probably made you feel powerful and big distroying the car. The windshield is a special heads-up display and costs 800 dollars, then to have it installed, too much. Well this is the vechicle that my Hubby worked on for the year he was so ill. We had just put it on the road. There's my b*tch...now if you can stand it...my whine! The furnace broke and we can't call repair as it is over 500 bucks. BUT!!!! There is an upside! We do know how to fix it and we can get the part when they open on monday...going to be a cold night! More up side is that we have the fireplace. Too bad the warm spell ended, but then were's the challenge! Haaaa, feel better now, thanks to those who listened! it's good to have friends that listen to b*tching and whining!!!! Take care! Geees I'm knackered and out of rum!!! |

Well all my beautiful snow is gone, except for the piles here and there. Crazy wind speeding the clouds along, bending the trees back and forth. It's a grey, very grey day and the yards look green. Bunny seems happy, being able to reach all the grass again. The wind blew the hydro out this morning but it has been howling for hours now,I wonder if this means a cold front and we might get snow back? It settles for a moment and the trees wait, readying themselves for the next blast! The power to move these 60 foot giants is amazing, the sound is crazy,a low howl that increases to near scream levels, the power is awesome! It brings to mind the day the tornado blasted through here and many years ago when I saw three small twisters set down in a back field. It is a tie, compelling you to see and feel the power while your senses are telling you to take cover. When the tornado went through about 5 years ago my son and I were out when it hit. Actually stepped out to grab the two patio umbrellas as they started to lift off! We looked at each other and the air was going sideways with tons of things flying past on the horizontal! We could feel like a negative pressure, hard to describe but it was so exciting! We stayed a moment or two longer than we should have laughing and marvelling at the feeling and the power. We found later, after the winds died that we were in the center of a triangle of hits which took out huge full grown trees. The rest of the day you could hear the chainsaws cutting up the broken and up rooted trees. So I wonder how intense this will stay as it has been four hours of it now!!! Got to love Mother Nature, she is interesting. |

Well!!! To say the least I'm totally disappointed. We have been having lovely days of minus 17 with windchills that push it much lower...and yesterday??? What happened to our lovely Canadian weather? We got to plus 12 and it has been working at lowering the snow level...down right un-Canadian!!! When we came home yesterday after walking about in the mild day there was the fog about a foot and a half off the ground,so odd looking to have a cloud at ground level! Last night we had a heavy and long rain storm!?! Rain storm in January? So today it's green grass and these huge piles of snow outlining it. Because of the amount we have had the resorts to the east and north are still having sking as the base is thick. But... I want the snow back,it's winter! Poor Mother Earth,I know we have done you so much harm and you are warning us. Hope all listen! |

So yesterday Hubby went to move son, just he and son,not ideal. So I was worried as I had to stay here, too long to leave Mr. Poop Master(dog)!!! Hubby says....not to worry,I will leave the cell on and I will let you know what's going on. Well, this is different! Hope springs eternal! Well by 10:30 last night I was concerned and tried the cell phone. No answer. Called my son's home and left a message. My dear sweet dil called and sounded exhausted and informed me that Hubby was headed home. Men!!! So he got home about midnight, so much for the useless promise of I'll keep in touch. Too good to believe, leaving me wondering was much closer to the norm. Men! So I wish them the best in their new home and I was glad to see Hubby return in one piece and the car made it too. |

Brrrrr, wonder if Jess is freezing too? The wind chill is -24 today but it is a very blue and bright day. I'm here all alone after the company and kaos of the past few weeks. Hubby is off on this very cold day to move my son to their new location. Not a good day for moving, icy, windy, cold!!!! Seems it is just him and my son as they picked Wednesday to move and everyone has work. I was going to go but how do you leave dog for 14 hours? It takes 2 hours to drive there. So I'm worried as Hubby tends to over do it and there's so much to move. And I hate not helping out. Not that there isn't enough to do here!! So busy I get and worry I will! Oh pooo,it is the new year and I should try to relax about things!!! Tomorrow I'll do that! LOL!!!! |

Aren't we lucky? A re-do on a whole year. Stellar! 2008! I know this will be a great year. Look at the start! The whole world is white here. I have watched the snow come down for hours and it seems the perfect start to this year. A clean white slate, now what to put on it? Haaa, haaa some old habits are staying. I was up early and I did take great delight in watching the hawk. The bunny was by and stopped to check dogs bowl,I wonder if he's getting enough to eat? I hate to encourage more use of this yard as he has single handedly stripped all of our plants but I think I'll sneak him some eats!!! I have a house full with a few extras. People sleeping from their night out. What a crazy way to start a New Year, instead of being up to greet it and be happy they are all tired and sleeping! Today is my daughter's birthday,a New Years Baby many moons ago. But I still remember it. I made a big fluffy chocolate cake and came up with the yummiest icing to date! It was finished just before midnight.
I have high hopes for this year. I have high hopes for the lives of a lot of people that have been having a rough time. I have high hopes for the problems working out and a lot of headway being made. Sometimes situations have to be walked away from for the persons own good, sometimes it takes tragic events to change a view point. I wish for everyone that what ever burden affects their being that it be lessened and heard. Sometimes just seeing something from an other point of understanding is neccessary. To all those so burdened I hope 2008 shows you some resolution for life is too short to not deal with all of your heart on things that are close to your heart! Hugs to all from me sitting watching the snow pile higher! Lovely! |
