Took Daniel to ENT at hospital they checked him and then made me sign a consent form for operation. Still don't know when op date is yet they should ring and tell me. Said they would remove lymph node and examine it to be 100% sure and while they were operating they would remove tonsils and adenoids because of sleeping/breathing probs. Looks like it will be an overnight stay for Daniel just hope it all turns out ok in the end, just worrying about the op and all the possible risks they went through with me I know they have to tell you all the risks but I'm a natural born worrier so now I'll just have to add to my list of things to stew over, lol. |

They did ultrasound on Daniel today and saw the results someone from ENT came to examine him and check the x ray and said nothing really just said they want to do a biopsy on his gland to determine whether or not it is cancer. So now I have to wait for the appt for the biopsy operation and take it from there. This is totally doing my head in I just want someone to give me an answer but not getting one guess I'll just have to be patient. Thank you for all your wishes and encouragement, I love you all. I'll keep you updated as soon as I know what the hell is going on. |

Sorry guys but have been reading into (internet) painless swollen lymph nodes because Daniels one is just getting bigger by the day and he seems ok in himself and says he's not in any pain. Me on the other hand keeps bursting into tears because I keep thinking it may be cancer (I sooo hope I'm wrong) but I just can't keep it together anymore. Don't know how I'm going to last till the 7..2.08 appt at ENT at hospital. I've even been asking my husband to take out health insurance just in case don't want my baby to be on a waiting list. OMG don't I sound like the drama queen kinda wish Google had never been invented then I would continue to be the most stupid and ignorant person on this planet, lol. |

Daniel is ill again, going to take him to doctors just hope it's not going to be another trip to the hospital. I am just feeling so tired, stressed and sick at the moment, taking my tabs but they are not helping much. I just wish the doctors would find out what is wrong with him and sort it out. See you guys later, hope your day turns out ok. Love Maria xx |

Decided to apply for a teachers assistant job today because it's always been something I've wanted to do or try. Now I'm feeling really nervous about it all, probably more so because I have no experience and I probably won't even get the job. Been working with my current company for 18 years and I'm so used to it that even though I want a change I'm scared to try something new. Anyone have any ideas?? |

Daniel is a lot better today (relief) however is gland is still quite large and will feel a lot better when it returns to it's normal size. Had to go to dentist today (have been waiting ages for this) did not enjoy it one little bit, can't stand the needles and the pain (very low pain threshold) can't feel the top of my mouth at the moment, but would love a cup of tea, lol. Hubby has been really good took today off so he could look after Daniel and I could go to dentist (just thought I'd give him a mention cause he's moaning that I'm ignoring him and spending too much time on Minti, lol). |

Daniel was ill again late Thursday evening so Friday morning decided to take him to doctors because was concered about the gland in neck as it look bigger and he was ill. Anyway doctor saw him at 10am and told me to take him to hospital we were at the hospital from 11.00am right through till 9pm. Doctors did more blood tests and a chest xray and monitored his heart beat and temperature, and generally we just waited and waited poor Daniel was so ill he just wanted to sleep and he was sick 3 times eventually after 5 hours the doctor let him sleep in a bed, well that's the NHS for you. In the end they gave him more antibiotics and let us go home, not quite sure what we achieved waiting around for 10 hours, but I suppose at least he was checked out properly. Just hoping these antibiotics work and his gland returns to its normal size and looks like he will probably need to have his tonsils removed (they are too big and are causing probs with his breathing when he sleeps) but obviously I will have to sort that out with the hospital because they were to busy to refer me to the ENT dept. Hope you are all ok. |

Had to take Daniel to have a blood test today and was dreading it as he is not a fan of needles anyway was advised to put EMLA cream to numb the area where the needle would go in, and I couldn't believe it it worked there was no screaming, no crying nothing. I had so prepared myself for the worst that I couldn't believe it was so easy. Definately recommend this cream to anyone out there who's little one needs to have injections, but you must put in on and leave it on for a least one hour for it to be effective. Anyway hope his test is ok doctor is worried about his rather large lymph node in his neck. He was supposed to be back at school yesterday and today but his school is closed because their boiler has broken. It fascinates me that in this day and age how easy it is for people to steal money from you for example fraudsters can copy your cards and take money from your account and now I've found out people can take money from your mobile just as easily and there is nothing you can do to protect yourself. If anyone has had this kind of experience and now knows how to stop this from happening I'd love to know. |
