Me and My Family

Juanita's year 11 formal
Juanita's year 11 formal

I am 39, Australian and a single parent. Left my husband in 03 due to domestic violence. My 7 year old son is the reason I go on every day. He is wonderful. He was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress after a car accident in 04. He also has hyperactivity/adhd problems and Aspergers Syndrome but we are managing without medication for now.. I have retired from my job after 21 years due to my health but am still trying to get a job thats within my capabilities as I hate not working . I am nothing to look at fat, and some scarring from accident but am loyal and honest so that counts for something I guess. Rarely socialize as not able to take Shaney along. My ex is ok now he has sorted himself out but our marriage will never recover.

He is with a lady named Linda now and she is lovely. So that helps, I have a 18 year old stepdaughter  who is living in SA now (I am in NSW).

My 75 year old mum lives locally and we spend alot of time together, I Have a brother Robert who is a great support to us, and a sister Carol. I have many nephews and nieces.

I have some loving friends, ones that love and accept my son and his quirks!

We are doing ok and with love & support are getting better every day

Comment Published at 19:0619:060 comments0 comments13 Visits13 VisitsReport

So much going on with me and shaney. Shaney is with an OT now and has therapressure two hourly and has to do 45 minutes of heavy lifting etc a day plus other stuff so hard to find time for everywhere. If you want to keep in touch I am on MSN proud2b-shanes-mum@hotmail.com. Email or facebook just email me. Otherwise will try and get on here from time to time. Cheers

Comment Published at 22:3422:342 comments2 comments33 Visits33 VisitsReport

Shane has an appointment at Minds and Hearts on 29/09/08 it is quiet expensive but DOCS have paid for it as Shane needs it so bady an I was unable to find enough money. Its in Brisbane so about 4-5 hours travel in train and bus so shane is freaking out a bit But hopefully will be a good thing for him. Will let everyone know how it goes maybe it would help some others?

Another Day

Comment Published at 14:5914:592 comments2 comments26 Visits26 VisitsReport

Things still difficult for Shane. But our set up in mornings is working much better. School is improving after we had a meeting with them taking along an advocate and a DOCS brighter futures worker. Shane still cries alot and is frustrated but having less problems at school so thats a start. Will take each day as it comes. No idea what is best anymore just taking a step at a time.
