Me and My Family

Hi... my name is Melissa and I live my partner Andrew and 2 daughters Sophie ( 2 and a half ) and Madeleine ( 4 months ).  We moved from WA to Vic back in Feb 07 and are currently in the process of planning and building a house.

We moved to Melbourne to be closer to family and Sophie is enjoying growing up with her neices and nephews... it has really bought her out of her shell.

Moving is frustrating!

Comment Published at 03:1203:120 comments0 comments40 Visits40 VisitsReport

Well, had another blood test last Friday and my b-hcg rose from 89 to 1690.  I have another blood test this week and then an ultrasound on the 27th.

I'm finding our process of moving to Melbourne a real pain in the behind.  Mainly a rental.  We have 4 weeks to find a place that will allow 2 dogs.  The agents either dont ring back, or if the do, they are not overly helpful.  They tell us to put in an application form and it is pot luck if they accept us with the pets or not.  We dont have time to put in application forms, only to be rejected because of dogs.  We'd rather know prior to applying, so that we are not wasting our time.  At least we've chosen our removalists and have boxes so that I can start the slow, painful side of moving - the packing.  I didn't realise how much crap we ( I mean my partner ) has hoarded over the years.  And to get him to part with some of it is a battle itself.  I just hope we can find a rental place soon.  I'll remember these agents when we want to buy a house over there and they definately wont get our buisness!!!

Blood test

Comment Published at 22:1722:170 comments0 comments38 Visits38 VisitsReport
Well I had my blood test this morning to check on the succes of my embyro transfer.  Rang for the results this afternoon and so far so good.  BHCG is 89 which is positive for pregnancy.  I have to have a blood test on Friday for the next 2 weeks and then an ultrasound following that to confirm everything.  So that was a nice gift from Santa this year :)

Well, I had the embryo transer on X-mas Eve.  My embryologist said that I had lovely looking embryos. Now I wait until the 5th of Jan for a blood test to confirm whether the transfer was successful.

We had a quiet X-mas here with just the 3 of us. One of my brothers and his wife, with my parents, are holidaying in Hong Kong and my other 2 brothers live in Melbourne.  Thus the move to Melbourne to be closer to family.  We should find out whether the finance has been approved by the purchasers bank tomorrow.  Then we can get the ball rolling.  I just feel like nothing is getting done!

Early Start

Comment Published at 02:5702:570 comments0 comments54 Visits54 VisitsReport

Have to arrive at the fertility clinic tomorrow - by  9am -  for the embryo transfer at 10am.   I dont know why I have to be an hour early unless I have to fill out more paper work.  I hope there isn't a long delay like there was last time I was there -  my doctor was over an hour late, so I was waiting over 2 hours, dressed in one of those scantily clad hospital gowns with the bum showing.  Lovely!!!  I guess I'll know in a week or so from tomorrow,  whether or not it will have been successful.  Fingers crossed.
