We're back!

We are back from our honeymoon and all is back to relative normal. Bit upsetting actually, i had such a busy month leading up to the wedding and now nothing, but at least I have a new ring out of this!

So the wedding was fantastic, and the honeymoon was fun too. We started it on Wednesday and had the first night baby free night as my parents came up and watched Miss Caitlin up here at our house and dropped her off the next day on their way home. The Gold Coast is between where I live and they live for anyone who doesnt know. We went to the Conrad Jupiters dinner and show of Zingara. It was so very spectacular. Dancing girls and guys and singing and acrobatics and motorbikes! Absolutely amazing I cannot reccomend it enough!

Then we had a brilliant sleep in! 9am! Oh it was bliss, went ot Pacific Fair and had a massive brekkie of bacon and eggs and stuff adn then went shopping. Daniel got heaps of slongan shirts and some shorts and I got a cool t-shirt and a nice summer dress. I was such a bargain hunter though! Dress was only $10! Fantastic! We met mum dad Caitlin adn my brother for lunch at the surf club, well everyone else had lunch, I was still too stuffed!

So we were there for 3 nights and had a great time. Did some shopping, some swimming, some spa-ing, some eating, ok lots of eating! ONly bad thing was I fell and hurt my ankle which put abit of a damper on the proceedings but thats a story for another day!

Hope all is well and I look forward to catching up with eveyone now I am back!

Hens Night

by missnickleyComment Published at 02:3902:395 comments5 comments35 Visits35 VisitsReport

hello everyone! Its been ages as I have just been so busy but I just have to tell you about my hens night last night! It was so fantastic!

To start off my friend Lisa and I met at Megans to get ready and have a few drinks, AND our friend Kate, (friend from school) came back from ENGLAND in time for it! So she came and got ready with us as well which is absolutely miraculous! I cant believe she is here, she is here for 3 weeks for my hens night, my wedding adn then another friends wedding then jetting back home again. anyways.............

We were all going to a restaurant called Garuva in the valley for dinner but meeting first in the cocktail bar. So we are in this funky funky place where there are massive pillows all over the floor to sit on around little tables to drink cocktails, oh they were so yum and the atmosphere was so fantastic! 10 of my friends and collegues came out so we all had some cocktails and then had tea there which is again on pillows on the floor which a thai style menu. FANTASTIC food! Great company, I was so very very happy, and drunk too which just added to the fun!

Then after tea we lost some of the older ladies from work who think they are too old to go out clubbing and we met Sarah who didnt make it for dinner at her favourite bar the Mustang for drinks and dancing where I danced the night away and had my first yaga-bomb (spelling?) and shots and had seriously THE best night I have ever had out.

And as a massive bonus, when Kate, Megan & I got home to Megans we sat around drinking water eating chips so after a nice long sleep in I woke up feeling fine. No hangover, I am so surprised as I dont drink basically at all so I was rather expecting to be vomiting all day.

P.S

Caitlin was babysat by her grandad and Nanny (Dans parents) at her godmothers place which is near ours as the boys stayed at our place for the bucks night, and was a very good girl. It was her first night away from us and she was good. i am so proud of her!!!!

Hello everyone!

Well life is still very hectic over this neck of the woods! Caitlin is also teething and not very happy which means no time on the computer for me!

So hope everyone is well and I will hopefully get on soon and see what everyone has been up too!

Busy Busy Busy

by missnickleyComment Published at 15:5215:528 comments8 comments32 Visits32 VisitsReport

I have been so busy but i have been enjoying it too! Our wedding is in 17 days, crazily enough I am not actually stressing or nervous yet. We have everything already organised, and everything paid for that we were able to pay for in advance so that is probably why I am not nervous yet.

And so I am still working one day a week at Crilly Lawyers which is still fun, it was Pams last day on Friday as she was retiring so Caitlin adn I went into the city for morning tea to celebrate, but its ok as she lives close so I will be popping over there with scones on a regular basis!

AND my friend has just opened a new restuaurant which he is managing and I am waitressing for him at nights to help out as they have NO staff! Not like I'm any good though! I havent waitressed for years and its all so different from my old restaurant that I keep forgetting things and getting things wrong! So Monday was their first day and so far we are going well, constant, not busy just constant which is better for us as ALL the staff are new (obviously) and have to learn a new menu and Zens way of doing things. SO if anyone is interested (and in Australia) At Jindalee there is a new restaurant called the Ox Cafe which had a fantastic menu, AND tonight there is a special of buy one pasta meal get one free! Great value!

Ok, I have said enough, Miss Caitlin is sitting on the table with me and getting abit cranky so I have to get going, enjoy your day!!!
