Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Keens Family Blog !!! Whoo-hoo!! I'm very new to this so please bear with me, as I have a tendancy to bable. But I'm sure if any of you have heard me try to tell a story, you'll be thankful that all you have to do is read!
As was stated in the title, this is my first entry. I wanted to do this blog because everyone that we know and love, who are near and dear to us, really aren't that near in relation to actual, physical distance to us. I want to keep anyone who is interested up-to-date on the goings on in our daily lives and especially the life of the little girl who matters most, Dylan. Once I get accustomed to this site, and once we are finally settled into our new home, I'll be able to post pictures and do a whole bunch of other things I haven't taken the time to explore yet. And for any of you with children, this is a really helpful site; you should browse around. If you decide to start your own account do me one favor and post me as your reference. If you join, you'll find out you can get points by referring people and turn those points into actual dollars to spend on online shopping!! Since I'm absolutely baby product crazy every little bit helps!
Right now we are in the middle of a move, which, by the way, I'm finding out is very difficult with a curious and very active 11 month old and no babysitter. Everything I pack ends up back on the floor. Bryson just took an amazing 5 days in a row off to help get the house ready and we are nowhere near complete. We did manage to get the painting done. The trim in every room, however, is not finished and probably won't be until about a month from now. That will be my everyday job. So with that in mind, I will try my very hardest to post something at least every week until we are settled.
Here is one quick rundown before I must get back to the painting and packing: Dylan will be 11 months old on Sept. 3. Crazy!!! She's doing excellent, "cruising" around furniture, walls, people, or anything she can find to support her, not learning but acknowledging the word "no," listening to simple commands like, "give that to me" and "sit down," mimicking, like if I ask her to say "hi" she says hi but doesn't automatically say it when someone walks in the room, and the funniest thing she does is imitate you if you yawn. I want to get a picture of it but my piece of @#$% camera has a 3 second delay and I never get it. The face she makes is hilarious, though.
Have to go, very busy day but to all, thanks for viewing.
We love you!!
