Our big ultrasound on August 4 revealed that the newest member of our family will be a boy!  We're really excited, and eagerly awaiting his arrival in December!

Unfortunately, I've been having some problems with my blood pressure, which has steadily crept up throughout the pregnancy.  To prevent things from getting worse, I have been placed on complete bedrest until the baby's arrival.  It's going to be a long couple of months!!!!  However, the whole pregnancy has gone by faster than I thought it would, and he will be here in just about two months!  I'm really trying to look at my bedrest "sentence" as my last little "vacation" before I have a baby in tow all the time!

This morning, we all went to the latest baby check-up.  It was pretty uneventful, (uneventful is good, as far as I'm concerned!) but we did get to hear the heartbeat!  How awesome!  The little critter was very active, scooting around and making it difficult to pick up the heartbeat for more than a few seconds, but sure enough, there it was. 

We made our appointment for the big ultrasound, on August 4.  It's going to be a loooong three weeks!
