I sit here listening to the kids quietly (for a change) watching a movie while I try to consider my next move... last night at dinner we received a call from my sister in law saying that my hubbys grandpa had had a heart attack and that he would be taken to a hospital in a city about 2 hrs from here. So after gulping down the remainder of his dinner and kisses all around off he went. He called me from the hospital saying everything was ok, that his grandpa seemed to be getting stronger and not to worry, he would drive into his moms after leaving the hospital and get some sleep and be home in the morning. I went to bed, and listened to Hannah off and on all night long cry for her daddy, of course each time waking up her brother and sister. Early this morning however hubby called and informed me that before they where able to leave the hospital last night his grandpa had taken a turn for the worse and had been put into the ICU on a ventilator and so they had stayed in the waiting area all night for improvement as well as to talk to the dr. He told me to carry on with my day so that not to alarm the kids and that he was ok. I took the kids to playgroup, out for lunch ( a rare treat and I think Will was wondering at that point what was going on) and then to the library. Got home, gave the kids a snack and phoned the hospital. Hubby said that the dr had told them it was only a matter of time and that they wouldnt be leaving the hospital. He said to stay home with the kids and not to bother coming in, there was no reason to, and that the hospital was no place for the kids( which I know, but I have friends and family in London that would be able to take them) I so desperately want to be there for him,  which brings me to my dilemma, do I disobey him, load up the kids and jammies and drive in, or do I sit here, waiting and worrying. It is strange though the things that go through a persons mind at times, he is telling me not to come in and my first thought was eww you are still wearing the same undies from yesterday. So here I sit, I guess I will just continue on with my daily stuff, laundry and whatever else will occupy my mind as much as possible and wait for the phone to ring ... argh I hate waiting!!! Oh boy I just thought of something else... what do I tell the kids, Ayla is obviously too young to understand as is Hannah, but Will understands death and both he and Hannah adore their Great-Grandpa (the last great-grandparent)  wonderful, something else for me to worry about!

Sorry to all that just read that, but I needed to vent in some way or another lol

I guess I am it .. so here it goes lol

What's your child's favourite book?  .. wow there are so many .. my son loves any books .. but his favorite is called little monster ( about a monster that wants to fly to outerspace.. very cute ), my older daughter loves the first 2 pages of books lol then wanders off, and my 9 month old loves eating books haha.
2. What's your favourite children's book?     Definately wacky wednesday .. I read that over and over and over .. never got bored of it!!!
3. What's your child's favourite thing to eat?   For my oldest it is anything veggie like, and rice krispie squares lol. My middle child it has to be macaroni and cheese.. she would eat that any day, oh and PB & J sandwiches. As far as my youngest that we will have to see.. so far anything that doesnt come a baby food jar lol.
4. What's your favourite thing to eat?   Well thats an easy one .. CHEESECAKE!!!!! yummy!!!!
5. What's your child's favourite game?  For my oldest its scrabble junior and dominoes, beats me everytime!! My middle one is all about fisher price little people .. Loves em .. so as long as  the game involves those she is happy!!  For the baby its peekaboo ... anything like that , and tickling of course!!!
6. What's your favourite game?   Hmmmmm I love something called joker rummy but noone seems to know what it is .. I started playing it at a party years ago, and well I cleaned up lol .. left with alot of quarters weighing down my purse hahaha.

I am so darn cold today ... I just cant seem to warm up, and starving .. nothing is satisfying me today lol. Will has gone to his grandpas for a few days, apparently his grandpa was so excited about him coming( his first official sleep over at grandpas house!) that my father in law went out yesterday and spoiled him rotten .. bought him a new mountain bike, fishing pole, toys, a bed to sleep in, and a remote control boat for the hot tub hahahahaha. I dont think Will will want to ever come home again lol. Hannah is crashed out on the living room floor, out cold, cried herself to sleep as she was devastated over not getting to go to grandpas too, and Ayla is asleep in her playpen behind me. Hubby is working late and I am lonely lol ... oops scratch that .. ayla is now awake screaming .. I think I was typing too loudly lol. Oh well I guess I will just have to finish my thoughts later on lol

Happy 9 month birthday Ayla ... my baby is growing up .. WAY TOOOO FAST!!!!!! Yesterday I found her first 2 teeth finally growing in ( was beginning to think I was gonna have to buy her some falsies just like her grandpa lol ), as well as she crawled a small ways... oh ya and she said MAMA!!!!! YEAH ME!!! Will has a front tooth hanging by a thread that just doesnt want to come out, poor guy, keeps wiggling and wiggling and it still wont pop out lol.
My sweet little 2 yr old daughter has discovered the word .. you know the 2 yr old word that adds grey hairs by the handful everytime it is said ( ok maybe its just me lol)  >>>>> WHY WHY WHY .. thats all I heard all day yesterday and this morning .. why mommy .. because I said so ... why mommy, because its a potatoe and I want mashed potatoes, why mommy .. I dont know go ask your dad, but why mommy .. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH .. I know its just a faze and that my son went through it but OH MAN!!!!
Big plans for today .. lets see .. laundry woohoo .. cleaning .. BIGGER woohooo lol .. maybe playgroup this afternoon, but at least I have tommorrow to look forward to, Will is going to his grandpas farm for a few days ( valuable lesson,, never tell them such things ahead of time, Will has been making me crazy for days now, when am I going to grandpas? is he going to play with me? do I get to milk the cows? are we going to go to the zoo? lol )  Oh well the washer buzzer just went off, guess I will go, oh and I broke the handle off the dryer vent this morning oops ... should be a great conversation to have with hubby tonight lol

I just read an advice from a parent on the importance of car seats and it made me sad! Years ago I had a friend who had gone visiting at her friends house with her 17 month old Cody. It got late so she decided to take her friends invite to drive her home, even though she didnt have a car seat in her car, she figured its only a few blocks away. She sat in the front with Cody on her lap and was about 3 blocks from her house when her friend lost control of her car, noone really knows ( or is telling ) how it happened, but well she hit a tree and Cody was thrown through the front window and also hit the tree .. was killed instantly .. all because of one careless thought ... he would be 13 this year, I think of him all the time when I see parents not using car seats, or using them improperly, I cant get the image of his mom at the funeral, the anguish and guilt she had and still has after all these years, as well as his sweet little face and puffy blond hair ... I will never allow my children no matter what age to be belted in improperly as well as never allow them to ride with anyone else without being belted in properly. My children are too much of a gift for that!!!

Well its Saturday and I had planned on having a yard sale this morning .. but well a lazy husband, very early wake up call .. thanx alot Will, and  a blah overcast rainy day has all put a stop to my plans.. I just want to get rid of some junk lol. Oh well, I guess I will just clean and do groceries ..woohooo lol. We had our financial advisor over last night again, I must say I had never really thought about having one of those ( and we are FAR from wealthy ) but he is coming in really handy. He has taken over all responsibilities as far as our pension plans, life insurance, etc as well as set up a money market account that takes $ out of our account every payday.. so we are adjusting to living without that money but its nice knowing we are going to have some savings set aside. As well last night he did a insurance needs chart for us, really opened our eyes, as a stay at home mom I never really thought about all the costs I would have in anything ever happened to Bill, but James is awesome .. he has set up a life ins policy for us that covers 18 years of missed income for me if Bill where to pass away, as well as an education fund for the kids, $ for each of them for weddings, first homes etc, I know its not a nice topic but really an amazing thing to have to think of in the long term .. he even set aside 10000 for a family trip in the event of one of us passing away!!! All in all I think the term that I need to offset the cost of daycare, 18 yrs of living expenses, ( we did 18 as Ayla is 8 months so it is up to the time she is 18), etc etc all came to just over $580,000 WOW huh!!!! So after he figured it all out the amount for that much coverage in the event of Bills death was around $44.00 a month .. not too bad huh!!! Anyways the kids are fighting so I must go break it up lol .. and get my lazy lazy hubby outta bed ... Have a great weekend

Well its Thursday and has been busy busy busy . Off to early years this morning with the kids, there is a school age program for Will on Thurs morning. Then off to swim lessons for Will .. and not to brag ( ok ya I am gonna brag lol ) but we put him in private lessons for the summer and he did so well his instructor advanced him 4 levels!!!! I am so proud of him! When he starts back with his fall lessons at the public pool he is going to be ahead of his age class. We only put him in private lessons to keep him busy and for the one on one interaction which he needs.,. to many other kids around he gets too distracted, as do alot of other kids I am sure. So there it is ... my brag for the week lol. Oh and Ayla is ALMOST crawling, she gets up on her knees and has the rock down pat, almost scooting forward .. Yippeeeeeee lol NOT. I like it when you put them down and they stay there lol. Oh well .. next thing I know she will be walking!!! *sniff* *sniff* . Well off again, Will has his end of the season t-ball pizza fiesta at the local pizza place so I have to go get the kids ready.. Have a great night everyone.

Ya I know what I said .. 1 blog a day is my goal, but well I have to put a bitch blog in for today!!! I just want to know why people judge others by what they name their kids ... about a yr ago I had someone telling me I picked the wrong name for Hannah as she is going to be cursed with 4 or 5 other Hannahs in her class.. well I have yet to come across another Hannah her age.. a few years ago I was asked why I named Will such a traditional name as that just is not the trend , well its a family name .. he is a 7th generation William and the name suits him... but todays comment just takes the cake!! I took the kids to the local play center for our weekly playgroup and had put nametags on the backs of the kids, as all parents there do, and one of the mothers there kept calling Ayla the wrong name .. now I know how her name looks ... like Kayla without the K, but her name is actually pronounced eye-la . Well when I mentioned to this mother that her name was pronounced eye-la she looked at me , snorted this snort of I dont know .. disgust I guess, and then proceeded to tell me that the way I spelt it is stupid, I should have spelt it the way it sounds and that she is forever going to have her name pronounced wrong so perhaps we should consider starting to call her Ayla( Kayla without the K) .. I was just blown away .. honestly am I wrong to have been offended by this??? I didnt know what to say, she then shook her head again, walked away, gathered her kids up and left ... AHHHHHHHH I think she has a beautiful name, no matter how it is spelt. Oh well there is my bitch for the day lol .. off to bed to battle another day tommorrow!!

Well here it is .. my first blog, I dont know if anyone will actually read this, but well I am gonna use it to talk about daily life with my hubby and 3 kids, and life in general... basically a page to complain and compliment my day lol.

So far its been slow, up at 7, which was actually nice, Ayla is usually up at around 530, and well Hannah and Ayla probably would have slept longer if Will knew how to be quiet in the morning .. instead of yelling out MOM I NEED THE GATE OPEN ... MOM I NEED MY BREAKFAST ... blah blah blah , which in turn wakes everybody except my husband up .. I swear he could sleep through a tornado!!!
 
Hannah woke up in her usual grumpy self, she is so totally not a morning person, I think by the time she is 10 she will be sitting at the kitchen table, eyes half open, sipping coffee along side of me lol.  Will just  bounces out of bed, boy I hate that somedays, and Ayla of course is her usual sweet happy self, makes the morning just a little more bareable!!

Going to try to start potty training again today, wish me luck... Hannah just isnt getting it as fast as I would have liked, and I want to put her in pre-school with her buddy Cydney ( hi Cyd, Ry, and Ty ) so I would like to have her at least partially trained by then .. we will see, Will was a hard guy to get trained too .. was almost 3 and a half by the time he was done, hopefully she isnt going to be like that!!

Oh well .. off to Early Years Center, might as well make the most of my morning, seeing as I am up, hey I could be cleaning lol ... would rather be sitting around, drinking coffee with other moms watching the kids play!!!  Have a great day all.
