More sad news

Comment Published at 04:1204:129 comments9 comments39 Visits39 VisitsReport

I have just found out that my Dad's sister Julie has passed away.

Actually she is a step-aunt as Dad is my step father but Dad to us.

She had cancer that began as cervical and was meant to have cemo earlier this month but it spread too quick and ended up all through her body.

Not quite sure of her age but late 40's early 50's I think as she is the youngest. We weren't in close contact with them all that much but still sad all the same.

What next........................

I got up this morning to find that our dog Jessie had died. She was almost 12 so she lived fairly long for a Rottie.

Sat for my first ever exam today.

It was a 3hr exam on Year 12 Australian History.

I finished it all with 40 minutes to spare so had time to read thru and fix any mistakes.

But boy did I have writer's cramp during and after it!

Don't think that I have ever written anything for that long in one go.

I am so glad that it is over. i can relax a bit more now.

Will find out how I went on Monday.

Wii Bowling

Comment Published at 19:3019:3013 comments13 comments26 Visits26 VisitsReport

On Saturday night Jack and I went over to a friends place for a BBQ. Like us, they also have a Wii...So as the night went on it was decided that there would be a game of 4 player bowling.

Of course Jack wanted to play. So there was Jack and 3 blokes in their thirties....guess who won!

In fact not only did jack win...he won by more than 50 points to the second player!!!

The guys were not happy! Guess they shouldn't have drunk so much before taking a 7 year old on...hehe

Too many computer games? lol

Comment Published at 18:1918:194 comments4 comments22 Visits22 VisitsReport

We finally got our Nintendo Wii, it had been on order since Jan!

So now we have the Wii, and XBox (not one not the 360)

and of course the computer. So yesterday Jack and I were throwing a ball between us and he was counting as we threw.

So he counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..............then after 5 he says.......... "Check point"                            "Next Level" pmsl!!!!

So of course I dropped the next ball I was laughing so hard!!!

The Wii is so much fun but we are both hopeless at Baseball!

Well, the room has been finished for a few weeks now...just got a bit slack at getting the pictures off of the camera.

One wall is Fire Engine Red and the rest are a creamy pale yellow. Colour is called Custard Bake!

Here's the pics:

Save the Murray email

Got this in an email today and thought I would put it here too. Click the link to go to the online petition. Make sure you scroll over the photos so that you can see what a difference 14 months has mage to the water levels.

They need 100,000 – 1,000,000 people signing the petition on-line (see below) to make the government to take notice. It only takes a moment. If you can get some of your friends to do this – that will also help. So far only 500 people have done so.

"We're really concerned with what's happening to this beautiful waterway and lack of future water security issues, take serious action NOW because it's a national shame and tragedy".

As you've signed the petition we're asking that you encourage 10 people or more you know to do the same. They can be family, friends, work mates, school mates...anyone. The government won't take this seriously unless we the people collectively let them know that all the money that's being collected through GST and alike is also allocated to one of Australia's most precious and important Australian resources.

I know that sometimes it's difficult to ask people to sign petitions but in this case it's for the good of us all and our future. As you know it only takes a couple of minutes so please email all the people you know and lets change the course of the country's future through unified voices rather than face the dire consequences.”
