Still singing

Comment Published at 18:3118:312 comments2 comments129 Visits129 VisitsReport
Fuller and Damon's last day of kindermusik was today. It was only the summer session- 5 weeks/ $60, but I think they had fun.

I admit, I felt jealous that they got to do this together. I always pictured myself being the one to take Fuller to playdates, classes, and the park. Instead I get the beige cubicle walls and a few hours in the evening of running around trying to soak in as much Fuller as possible.

But, I still get to reap the rewards of what Fuller does during the day. He sings all the time and loves singing with me, running around the yard with freedom, and seeing him demolish his dinner.

Last night we played and sang while D took a nap. It was just him and me. It was great.

Great gift.

Music is such a great gift and a great tool for self-expression. It must be such a great joy to hear a little one singing.

There is a kindermusik class nearby but I haven't brought my son to try it out yet. What do they do in the class? Just lots of singing?

Great gift.

They sing and do movements, and in this particular class they learned about different animals you find at the zoo. As part of the class we got a CD, a book, and a musical instrument based on the class theme. His instrument is a shaker shaped like a giraffe. It is so cute because whenever we start singing or listening to the CD he runs to find that giraffe and shake it.
